Come and play at Escape 2 the Lake!

A great get-away for the family, couples weekend, girls weekend, fishing trip, or just a place to relax and get away from it all. A cozy, remodeled lakefront 2-bedroom home in a friendly cove. Enjoy a bright sunroom, large deck, 2-well dock, and PWC lift. This lakefront home is literally just a dozen feet from the lake, with an expansive lake view, great fishing and swimming, and a variety of toys: paddle boat, standing paddleboard, and kayaks. Use our fully equipped kitchen and large gas grill to feed your crew. Sleep up to nine people with 1 king and 1 queen-size bed each in their own bedroom and a fold-out couch and bunk beds (twin on top, full on bottom) in the sunroom. Also, enjoy board games or flat-screen TV with streaming services and a DVD library. There is also a small TV with children's DVDs in the sunroom. A washer and dryer are also available during the summer months.
This home has provided lake fun for generations. You can start building your memories here today. We are located at Mile Marker 45. Gas and groceries are available by water at Mimosa Beach Marina, just across the channel. We are just ten minutes from Laurie, Missouri where gas and groceries are available by land. If you’re interested in shopping or tourist activities, we are 45 minutes from Osage Beach with go-carts, helicopter rides, outlet malls, and numerous restaurants. Being at Mile Marker 45 is great if you have a smaller boat, the boats and waves aren’t as big on this part of the lake as it is closer to the dam. We are also near a couple of great lakeside restaurants: Bear Bottoms with a waterslide and live music and Red Fox who has the best margaritas on the lake. We’ve been enjoying the lake from this location for years! Come be our guest!

Great week getaway

We had a great week at, Escape 2 The Lake. Water was still a little cold for crappie to be up in the coves but still managed to pull in a few blue cats and channel cats off the boat dock. One blue being 23.77 lbs. Great little place to stay on the lake. Weather didn't cooperate the whole week we were there but still had a great time

Great house for a long weekend at the lake!

We really enjoyed our stay! House is clean and well stocked. The kids LOVED the paddle board, pedal boat, and kayaks. The cove is quiet and perfect for swimming and paddling. The deck is great for BBQing in the evenings and the view is great! The house was easy to find and access. It is close to the water without a ton of stairs which is nice for the little ones. We would definitely stay here again.

The house was amazing. The host was great! Our kids really enjoyed the lake and the things they offered like a paddle boat and some kayaks. We did rent a boat and explored the huge lake one day but overall they wanted to be at the house.

Relaxing cabin!

This was the perfect cabin for a nice, relaxing stay! The house was clean, cove was super quiet despite being right on the water, and the views from the deck were amazing. Fishing from the dock was relaxing and the kids each caught their first (and second, and third) fish ever! Steve is super friendly and considerate of the guests, but also fits right in if you invite him to hang out. ☺️ Loved the place and the stay!!

We have been coming to lake for years. We own the home next door and purchased this home when our neighbors moved out. We use this home for over-flow when the whole family comes down and rent it out when we are not using it. We've been coming to this part of the lake for over 15 years. Our kids grew up on the lake and the whole family still comes down regularly. One of our sons was even married lakeside! We love sharing the lake with friends, it's our favorite place to be.

Why they chose this property

This property is located in a cove, but with a view of the main channel. So you're out of the traffic but not hidden away with no view. The house is newly remodeled and quite comfortable. Our favorite place is the sun room or the deck. This location is an easy drive from KC and has only about 1/2 mile of gravel road to traverse. It's close to Laurie, so trips for groceries and gas are quick and easy.

What makes this property unique

There's a dock for your boat and a lift for you PWC. There is a boat ramp just two houses away (it's gravel, so best for 4-wheel drive vehicles) We offer a paddleboat, standing paddleboard, a canoe, and kayaks. We just want you to have as much fun as we do at the lake!!
