Overview

About the property

Palisade River Ranch's Private Guest House ("Tally Ho") - Sleeps 8.

"Tally Ho" is our guest house located within our 100-acre private ranch. The space is fresh and bright, providing a year-round, comfortable and relaxing environment. Stay, enjoy the company of friends and family, and unwind in a natural and tranquil setting. The sleeping options are flexible, with one fixed Queen bed, one King that can be split into Twin XLs, a Twin or Queen option in the "Sunroom", and a Queen sofa bed in the main living area. There are two inviting bathrooms, including the master which has a separate shower and jetted spa tub which is perfect for relaxing with a glass of wine or for soothing tired muscles after an exhilarating day in the mountains. The open plan living area is equally well-suited to entertaining or to simply relaxing for a night in, and the kitchen facilities are equal to that of a typical family home. When not in use as a bedroom, the "Sunroom" is an ideal place to relax with a book or simply to enjoy the views of our special cottonwood tree, the birds and the deer that roam the fields leading down to the river. Tally Ho has a patio area, with seating, a fire pit to warm up those cooler evenings, a BBQ, and fantastic views. We also have an indoor storage area for bikes, kayaks, paddleboards and any other toys you'd like to bring with you.

Guests at Palisade River Ranch have access to the trails across the main property, to the river and riverfront, and also the 1500 sq ft deck and screened gazebo down at the river. The riverfront and deck are great areas to enjoy a BBQ or campfire, to play games and to generally enjoy the serenity of our stretch of the Colorado. For those interested in floating the river, we have excellent put-in/take-out access. Guests can also explore our 45-acre riparian habitat, which is a great place to see an array of wildlife. (NB - access to some areas may be limited by seasonal restrictions, private parties or other events, and is subject to guests' agreement to a liability waiver).

Great Getaway

  • 5 of 5

Great after Christmas getaway. Guest house was very comfortable and clean for 5 of us. The Ranch is beautiful and great to allow dogs to run free on an open range. Cameron was very responsive to any questions or to accommodate any needs. Located conveniently to many wineries.

Very clean, quiet, conveniently located and modern!

  • 5 of 5

We will absolutely stay here again. The guest was was very clean, had all the essentials and much more. The location was perfect, we enjoyed being so close to downtown Palisade, right next to the river trail, yet it was very private and quiet. We can’t wait to come back! A huge thanks to Cameron and Jen for being great hosts.

Perfect weekend in Palisade at the PRR!

  • 5 of 5

We had a perfect weekend at the Palisade River Ranch. The guest house, “Tally Ho”, was cute, clean, and had plenty of space for myself and my 5 girlfriends that stayed there. The kitchen was well supplied so that we could prepare food and we loved drinking wine and coffee on the back deck/patio. The view is beautiful and it felt so peaceful and welcoming at the ranch. My friends and I plan to make a trip back sometime in the future. The location was very close and convenient for visiting downtown Palisade and the wineries! I would recommend the PRR to everyone!

Small guest house on a Beautiful setting

  • 3 of 5

Owner and his dog friendly. Offering fresh eggs, thank you and delicious!

Toilet in master bath ran incessantly, though we fixed it daylight hours, we're not so generous in the middle of the night, therefore ordered to listen to it all night. Essentials I'm used to at other vrbo's were lacking ; boxes of tissues, bars of soap, night lights, extra roll of paper towels, more than 2 rolls of toilet paper in master suite and perhaps better quality. My suburban kids adored the abundance of acreage, horses next door, fishing, cats and chickens. But the master suite hosted the smallest bed and glass doors entering the bathroom meant turning on the bathroom light would illuminate the entire bedroom evening hours. I would suggest the owners spend a weekend here, listening to the obnoxiously loud wind coming through a master window, running toilet, but then admiring the abundance of ponds, equine neighbors, numerous walking trails, fresh air and those stars showing off outside the city lights.

  • 5 of 5

This was our second visit and we absolutely love it! The home has everything you need and is clean and comfortable. The property is amazing and we love that our son can get out and explore. The addition of chickens was so fun and we had to go see them multiple times a day! See ya next year Cameron and Jen
