Remodeled 1 Bedroom Apartment In The Iconic Former Skjersaa Ski Shop Building.
Right where you want to be! In the heart of Century Drive on Bend's gorgeous west side. 20 quick miles to Mt. Bachelor, across the street from gourmet coffee shops, a scrumptious bakery and several high end and quick bite restaurants. Sometimes, we even have food truck tenants in the parking lot! These trucks offer up some of the best affordable food in Bend and are available on a situational and seasonal basis.Take a 1 minute walk to the closest of Bend's famous craft breweries, a wine tasting room, and an indoor live music venue. Nestled close to ski/snowboard, bike, paddle board/kayak shops, a major chain grocery store, and Bend's new White Water Park on the Deschutes River used for kayaking, surfing, and all manner of paddling or floating as well as the new Pavillion for ice skating and ice hockey in the winter and roller hockey and roller blading in the warm seasons. A quick jaunt (under 2 miles) will get you Downtown or to the Old Mill. You will be close to everything here. Seriously, just about EVERYTHING!
Enjoy this recently remodeled and very clean one bedroom 2nd floor apartment, located adjacent to Dutch Brothers coffee company. This apartment sleeps 4 and is one of two apartments upstairs that sit atop retail shops on the bottom floor. A light and bright open concept with an ultra comfy full-size sofa bed in the living room and memory foam queen-size bed in the en suite bedroom. Please note, the one bathroom in the apartment is located in the bedroom.
This unit does NOT have A/C and in the heat of summer, you will fill the warmth. Evenings in Bend typically cool down quite nicely and with 4 fans to circulate the cool outside air, throwing open the windows after the sun starts to set is usually sufficient to bring the apartment back down to an enjoyable temperature so you can get some good sleep after your adventurous day. Usually!
Walk, bike or drive over to Galveston Ave. for more breweries, wine tasting, shops and restaurants. Continue on this path to eclectic Downtown Bend (just under 2 miles from your front door) or veer the other direction to the lively Old Mill District (just 1.5 miles away). This area has it all, you'll love being so close to so many amenities. Or you won't! Please make sure to note this is a high foot and vehicle traffic area of town before you decide to book with us. It's fun, it's bustling, it's busy; and all that pizazz comes with some extra street noise.
That said, you're likely to not be in the apartment much because Bend is full of so many things to do and see. You'll likely want to schedule your next stay before you leave so you can look forward to picking up right where you left off. But while you're inside, relax and prepare a nice meal if you like in the fully stocked kitchen, replete with new appliances. Or relax on the comfy furniture and flip through the large selection of cable channels, pop in a DVD or stream your media content from your accounts with the high speed internet, Bluetooth sound bar and BluRay player. Linens, towels, extra blankets and extra pillows are provided as well.

Comfortable, well kept, and relaxing.
Perfect location for catching the shuttle to Mt Bachelor. Close to Safeway, Back Porch Coffee, and Next Level Burgers. Plenty of room for my son and I to have as a base for our ski trip. Nice shower, comfy bed, and electric kitchen made this a great choice for us.
We were in town for a concert and the Bend Ale Trail. Close to everything, so we walked or rode our bikes all over. Place was clean and comfortable.
Convient place to stay in Bend
My wife and I stayed three nights in this apartment. This was our first experience with VRBO and everything went smoothly. The apartment was exactly as listed, all the appliances worked, and we had little to do but enjoy ourselves. We were in the area primarily to see the eclipse, but this would seem to be a good place to stay for many of the attractions in that part of Oregon. It is worth noting that everything from a coffee shop to an excellent Mexican seafood restaurant is in walking distance. The only complaint is that road traffic is a bit of a problem in the summer when you must have the windows open.
Great location. Nice clean condition.
Please put in your info that fans are provided. The bathroom exhaust fan would work better if the door was cut off about a half inch to let some air in. Nice tv with plenty of channels.
Clean and convenient
We enjoyed our stay. Though I would have loved a 5 star location with a pool and air conditioning, this place served our needs. We were not here to sit inside anyways. We have a time share at Eagle Crest in Redmond, but you can't beat this location and the proximity to restaurants and outdoor excursions. Also, it was clean and had a kitchen. On hot days, it is very warm. Thank goodness there were 4 fans! We put a fan in the window so that when the evenings came around, the very cool desert air blew in like an air conditioner. In fact, a few hours after the sun went down, it was very cool, contributing to comfortable sleeping. The only bummer is that it is a business district, so there was more road noise than I would have liked. In addition, Dutch Brother's speakers is directed at the unit, which brought in unwanted "music"/noise inside. Considering the cost, cleanliness, and location, it was very much worth it. We would come back again.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review, we really do appreciate it. We especially appreciate the accuracy and the details you included, we find these thorough reviews very helpful to potential guests when they are reviewing our listing and deciding whether or not our accommodations will meet their needs and expectations.
We look forward to hosting you again someday and it sounds like we owe Dutch Brother's a friendly visit to request they keep our guests in mind when they are deciding what decibel to set their speakers to.
Comfortable and convenient
My husband, son and I stayed here when we were in town for a tournament. It is very comfortable and convenient to food, stores and downtown. Be forewarned, though, it can be very noisy since it is on a main thoroughfare, and there is a Dutch Brothers coffee stand in the parking lot facing the building. As well, the bathroom door is right next to the bed in the bedroom, so be sure you don't mind someone coming past the bed to use the bathroom. The bed is very firm, but comfortable, and there are plenty of fans to help move the air on hot days. It was very clean as well. We found Jodie very easy to work with, and they even accommodated us needing to leave a little bit later than our 11 a.m. checkout. The damage deposit was refunded the next day, and we would stay there again!
Located on Century Drive, the road to Mt. Bachelor (just 20 miles away)! Right in the middle of Bend's gorgeous west side, known for its close proximity to Bend's famous craft breweries, gorgeous golf courses, popular restaurants and bars, concert venues, shopping, sports and recreation equipment rentals and of course the world renowned Deschutes River. And that's not all. You'll be under 2 miles from either Downtown Bend or the fun and bustling Old Mill District.
