Relax to the sounds of the waves from your very own beach bungalow. This one bedroom one bathroom home is right on the sand and is only 50 feet to the water line. White Caps is a quaint beach front complex with only 9 cottages. Watch dolphins and pelicans play right outside your front door while you enjoy the cool ocean breeze. Take in the sunsets nightly from the beautiful sunroom and wake up to the sounds of the surf. This beach home features a fully equipped kitchen with granite countertops, a tile backsplash, bright white cabinets and a spacious island. This island charmer will accommodate up to five people with a king bed in the master bedroom, a queen sleeper sofa and a twin sleeper. Ride along the bike trails or sit back and watch a movie on one of the two televisions sets. Grill you freshly caught fish on the outdoor BBQ or visit one of Sanibel and Captiva’s many restaurants. Wash off you newly found beach treasures in your outdoor shower. Floor to ceiling windows and an elegant beach décor makes this the perfect cottage for a quiet island getaway.

Great location

Small duplex, but accurate description. Awesome for just the two of us. Close to quiet beach, and many great restaurants. Our 1st stay and will not be out last! Rented bikes for the week, saw all Sanibel island and most of Captiva island. Excellent!!

Small but sweet!

This unit is SMALL compared to other units on this property. However, for 1-2 ppl the size is just fine. Newly renovated, clean and very nice! Literally steps to the gorgeous beach! Kitchen is not that greatly stocked if you plan on cooking. Always a great lil community for a quiet & relaxing vacation!

Sanibel Beach Vacation

“White Caps 2” is an excellent little beach cottage! Yes, it’s small but nicely appointed and arranged very much like an old cottage. Very comfortable! One issue clouded the wonderful stay: the TV. Neither remote could control the tv, no close captioning and menu controls were in Spanish with nonfunctional remotes. Kingfisher real estate offered to send maintenance, but we didn’t want to lose the beach time waiting. I’d suggest the weekend cleaning crew check on TV functionality.

This is a great location and so close to the beach.

Very nice bungalow situated with 8 others so you get to know your neighbors. Perfect for couples. Great to be so handy to the beach and the sunsets are great from this location.

Lovely cottage near the Gulf in Sanibel

A delightful set of cottages set on the southern shores of the Gulf. Quiet neighbors, minutes from natural refuges, grocery stores, shops, and miles of beautiful beach. We enjoyed biking on extensive bike trails that you can access from right in front of the house. The cottage had all the amenities for cooking and plenty of sheets and towels. A/c system worked well and wifi allowed for zoom meetings and movie streaming. Great stay. Bring quarters if you plan to do laundry!!

Perfect Location

Cottage perfect for both my husband and me. Shower was very small, but everything was as described and very clean. We loved being so close to the beach! Rented bicycles for the week and rode them all around the island. Look forward to visiting again.

Cottage exactly as advertised

Great stay ! Easy to book , access property thru a realtor type lock. The one issue we had was fixed in a couple of hours after we called it in. Even had access to washer/dryer that was not listed on VRBO site!

This property is absolutely beautiful and is several meters from the beach. We had everything we needed and didn’t have to go far at all. We love all the neighbors and the beautiful full moon at night. Definitely will come back.

Cute Little Cottage!

We enjoyed our time! At first , we got there at night and it was dark. Couldn’t find our cottage number. It was behind a bush! All the lights were on in the cottage so we thought that wasn’t it. Clear Cottage numbers would be great!! Very clean cottage. We wish it would have come with bikes and chairs like the cottages a few doors down. Shower is very very small! Would be great if they could redo the bathroom. Laundry area was gross, need to clean washer and dryer. Great location!!!! Beach was a few steps away from our door!! Awesome!! Met some wonderful people who stayed near us! Again whoever cleans the cottages does an amazing job!!You are blessed to have such an amazing staff!! We overheard a lady in charge not talking very nice to the wonderful ladies who were cleaning the cottages across from us. That bothered me... Would recommend these cottages!!

Awesome location

We really enjoyed our week here. It’s so nice to walk out your front door and be only steps from the beach. Reminds me of the old school Florida that I miss so much. Very peaceful. The only issue I had was with the air conditioner. It would only cool the cottage down to 80-81 degrees during the day when it was 90-95 degrees outside. That’s the only reason I give it four stars and not five.

Week on Sanibel

Wonderful little bungalow. A little smaller than expected but very clean, right on the beach and we had a wonderful stay! FYI, bring quarters for laundry though!!

Nice little seaside cottage

White Caps 2 is a great seaside cottage. Nothing fancy but has all of the essentials with a beachy, comfortable, cozy decor and feel. The bathroom was spotless with very nice cotton towels and the same for the bed linen . Great location for the shops and the beach is right there. This is a great little cottage for a great off season price. We originally booked this for our 30th anniversary and have already booked it for the 31st😎

Adorable Cottage for Couples/Small Family!

We stayed at the White Caps for our honeymoon and it was PERFECT. The short walk to the private beach was awesome. We loved the cleanliness and privacy of the cottage and how close it was to Bailey’s/Periwinkle Way/etc. Outdoor shower was a huge plus for cleaning off from the beach! Would absolutely stay here again (:

Small but nice

The unit is very nicely decorated and comfortable. It sits in a cluster of five duplexes just steps from the beach. This one is the farthest from the beach, and you can only actually see the beach if you sit out on the small front porch. I'm 6'4", and the cottage felt cramped, but others may feel differently. It says it sleeps up to 5, but really one small child plus 2 adults would be all that would fit comfortably. It seems like the Sanibel beaches are covered mostly with larger condo complexes, and small, more intimate cottages like this one are rare. If that's what you're looking for, this is a good choice.

The property is not in the best of shape. I would say that this property is outdated. Coffee maker is extremely old and did not work well, at all. The outside hose was busted when we arrived and was difficult to use. While the house does say that it fits four people, I wouldn’t agree. We had four people for our stay ( 2 adults and two children ) and we were cramped. Overall, the house was okay but I wouldn’t stay again.

Thank you for your fair review. We try to describe our properties as accurately as possible but it appears we did not accomplish that. We will update our description so everyone visiting this home will understand that it is outdated. We want all guests to contact us directly during their stay if they find an issue we may be able to address immediately, like the coffee maker. We will get a new one asap and we are sorry you weren't able to enjoy your morning coffee as much as hoped We know how much we rely on that too! Thank you for your review.
