Welcome to the Blue Bear Ski Condo. This one level, two bedroom, one bathroom condo is located on Blackcomb Mountain's Merlin's run, close to the Blackcomb Gondola and offers true ski­-in/ski-out convenience with the comforts of home. Just step out and ski down.
The afternoon sun streams into the condo! The newly remodeled, spacious open concept main living area features comfortable furnishings, a presto log fireplace, large picture windows and a flat screen TV, with cable, and Bose Stereo. The fully­ equipped kitchen features spacious countertops and overlooks the dining area.

The master bedroom features a queen bed and a small TV. The second bedroom/den features two twin beds and lots of storage. The separate bathroom has a spacious single vanity and a jetted bathtub with overhead shower.

The floor plan is one of the smartest in Whistler - it feels much bigger than it is.

Painted Cliff #39 has en­suite laundry, secure underground parking for one vehicle (included at no extra charge), and complimentary wireless internet access. The home's entrance allows for ski and snowboard equipment storage. Painted Cliff guests can also enjoy the outdoor common area hot tub only a few steps away. Conveniently, the free shuttle bus to Whistler Village also stops just outside the Painted Cliff complex.

We were there as a couple with to adult kids. The condo was perfect. Good size for 4. The kitchen is really well equipped for cooking and “eating in”. Nice washer dryer. The parking garage is very convenient. Best of all, the condo is literally 30 steps from the slope and access to the Blackcomb Gondola. We loved it and this would be our first choice on future visits to W-B.

Great stay on Blackcomb Slopes

We had an awesome week skiing at Whistler Blackcomb! This property is truly ski in/ski out which made for easy access and the ability to shorten ski days for individuals and ski in for lunches! The amenities were great — fireplace and hot tub. We also appreciated the well stocked kitchen for cooking at home (lots of pans, basic spices, oil, etc). We would definitely stay here again!

Great Getaway!

Really nice to spend some time with my son here. We didn't bring a car, but rather buzzed about town on the free shuttle bus. And of course, ski'd in and out from the condo. We also availed ourselves of the hottub and met some students from UBC. The condo was great! Hope to visit again!

Check-in was easy, and owners were prompt and responsive to help resolve a baseboard heater issue in one bedroom. Amenities were as described, and unit is in good condition. Quality boot dryer and induction stove/cookware were happy surprises. This property is the 2nd closest unit from the ski run. Certainly worthy of a repeat stay.

Ski in ski out

The unit is a 50’ walk to the Merlin run. Very convenient. We had our skis delivered by Black Tie and groceries delivered from Nester’s which allowed for maximum ski time! Condo owner was very accommodating and helped us arrange the grocery delivery. Condo is very comfortable with enough heat, good bed arrangements, complete kitchen. You get a parking spot in the covered garage. Boot warmers are a nice touch! Great experience.

For our once-in-a-lifetime, month-long vacation, we were seeking a home away from home in this condo – and it absolutely delivered! The owner stood out as the epitome of graciousness and hospitality going above and beyond in ensuring our comfort and taking care of every little detail. Interacting with her was an absolute delight. The condo itself is a true reflection of what is advertised. The kitchen is well-equipped, featuring enough crockery and cutlery for a family, even featuring a crockpot and Nespresso machine. The main bedroom boasts a brand new queen size mattress which was very comfortable. The appliances are all world-class. Despite challenging snow conditions during the first half of our trip, the shuttle service provided an excellent alternative, and a short walk to the Excalibur Gondola meant we could be up the mountain relatively quickly. When the snow finally came the convenience of stepping out of the condo and being right on the slopes is unparalleled. The boot warmer and ski storage facilities is a dream and being so close to the slopes made it super easy. In conclusion, if you're looking for a place that combines luxury, comfort, dealing directly with the owner, and convenience in Blackcomb, even when the snow gods are temperamental, this condo is an outstanding choice.

We have been coming to ski in Whistler for 12 years. Last winter we decided it was time to buy a place, especially after coming to Whistler last summer and discovering how much we enjoyed the summers in Whistler, too.

Why they chose this property

We knew we wanted a townhouse condo with our own entrance in Whistler that had sunshine, ski-in/ski-out and a wonderful hot tub. After looking high and low across all the town homes in Whistler we knew we wanted the Painted Cliff complex, and we wanted to be in the building closest to the ski run. That really narrowed it down for us. This unit is it. It has everything we want. There is even a lovely porch to sit outside in the sun in the afternoon and relax. The floor plan is one of the best for this size condo - it feels much bigger than it is because of the layout.
