In the very center of the Latin Quarter, located close to the famous Panthéon, charming Place de la Contrescarpe, Sorbonne University, Saint Germain and the gorgeous Luxembourg gardens, this apartment offers a unique opportunity:
• It is an exceptional deal: the apartment was designed with extra care to comfortably sleep up to 4 guests (1 queen bed and a comfortable sofa bed).
• It is located in a stone building constructed in the 1800s. The building was fully refurbished and redesigned by an architect in 2016. Four similar apartments sleeping for 3 to 6 guests depending on the apt are available in the same building.
The owners have preserved the traditional French apartment style with the beautifully exposed wooden-beams. The apartment is super functional. They have also preserved the elegant French terra cotta tiled floor with a variation of colour and thickness in certain parts of the apartment. This floor style dates back to around 150 years, if not more, and is of great historical significance.
On entering the apartment, one is greeted by a small corridor that serves the bathroom to the right, then the kitchen corner, and leads to the living room area.
To take advantage of the light and volume, the architect has designed a great concept:
• A large living room opening on the square, which is indeed a very ample cosy space.
• During the night, guests can profit from 2 separate, private sleeping areas.
This apartment is a great place for a honeymoon, a family stay, or 2 couples.
The Living room offers a large double glazed window that bathes it in natural light. It opens on the charming Place Larue which offers various terraces. No building blocks the view: it is open on the Rue Sainte Genevieve, and the famous and beautiful courtyard of the Ecole Polytechnique (host to many international conferences of researchers).
The living room offers a comfortable sofa bed and a center table, chairs and lights and TV. Wall is decorated with frames. The sofa bed is extra easy to open and of high quality for sleeping.
On the right of the sofa is located an open kitchen. It gives an impression of openness. The kitchen is fully equipped for preparing simple meals.
The bedroom with sliding doors offers a high quality queen size bed, a large closet and a windows on the small interior courtyard. Once again it is furnished with quality equipment and decorated with frame.
The bathroom located at the entrance, is fully tiled and modernly decorated. It offers a large semi-enclosed shower, a vanity area and a toilet.
Right down the building are located many shops, restaurants, bakeries, delies and more. We advise to try “Les pipos” restaurant, typical traditional French food.
The apt location is a perfect base to visit Paris : based in the heart of the old Paris, facing Notre Dame and the trendy Ile saint Louis with, at walking distance, the Marais where are the best clothes shops of Paris. The Sorbonne University, the famous Jardin des Plantes, the Pantheon, the Arenes de Lutece, Luxembourg garden and the Cluny Museum of Medieval arts are all steps away. Cross the street and stroll along the banks of the Seine, enjoy a drink on one of the many barges or dance Tango in the “Tino Rossi” square in summer evening time.
It stands 10 minute by subway to most interesting Paris locations AND is a very charming and restful area to be appreciated after a whole day shopping and walking through museums.
