Porthtowan has a children’s play area, sand dunes, beach bar, surf school and a local pub. Truro, with its theatre, shopping and cinema, and St Ives are easily reached. Porthreath, a short drive away, is the start of the Coast to Coast Cycle Path. Bike hire, horse riding, golf, surfing and kayaking are all available locally. Shop 200 yards, pub and restaurant 100 yards.
