Pamela and Lynn are partners in business and life. Lynn grew up in Springville, Utah, and Pamela in Phoenix, Arizona, and they met up in Austin, Texas, where they maintain a business and a home. Family, friends and the call of the mountains and Utah outdoor lifestyle has drawn them back year after year. They call the mountain their home and reside on Big Pine Canyon Road year round. Five minutes from their cabins, they are readily available to help out in any situation. Here is the truth: The winters bring you to Sundance and the summers keep you here! We are living proof!
Pamela purchased this Cabin in 2016
Why Pamela chose Sundance
The location is as good as it gets. This family cabin was built by hand in the sixties and remained in their possession until about three years ago. With deep respect for the family and history of the original cabin, the most recent owner opted to remodel instead of starting from scratch and did a down to the studs remodel - and what a wonderful job he did. Another aspects that drew us to this cabin was how secluded you felt in spite of being only five minutes from Sundance. It is truly a unique place to spend time.
What makes this Cabin unique
The Mountain is breathtakingly beautiful no matter what time of the year. In the summer the temperatures are pleasantly warm and proximity to the stream cools you down even more. The wildflowers in the spring, the hummingbirds, the wild life in the yards, the snow in the winter makes this place a little piece of heaven. And did we talk about the air? Crisp, clean and full of nature smells and the water is the best drinking water ever! And how about the Greatest Snow on Earth? Yes, it's right here. There's always so much to do. Sundance Film Festival in January, ZipLine Tours, skiing, snowboarding, cross country skiing and snow shoeing, horseback riding, hiking, biking, fine, fine restaurants, music on the lawn at the resort, outdoor theater, harvest festivals, pottery classes, glass blowing exhibits, author series...... the list goes on and on. AND these are all activities within five minutes of the cabin. Almost forgot about the SPA and Sundance and live music at the Owl Bar! Come and experience it yourself. It's a happy community and we love visitors.

Very beautiful ! Stream runs right through the back yard ! 2 decks to enjoy ! It was perfect for our local getaway from the city !!! Very enjoyable experience!
We enjoyed our stay. The location near Sundance was great. The towels were nice and clean. I don’t think the listing was very clear about the stair access. It was a lot for a family of six to carry bags and groceries down. Kids had a ton of fun playing down by the river.
Cozy Sundance Cabin
Every tiny little detail had been thought of to make our stay enjoyable. From the spa towels and robes to the cool "cup of fire" to start the wood burning stove and the thoughtfully placed snow/ice scraper for our car just in case it snowed. We had a wonderful time and plan to come again soon.
You folks were real troopers with all the Utah Powder you had during your visit! Thanks for mentioning the snow/ice scraper! Time away from busy lives should be as stress free as possible and it's the little things I like to think about and surprise folks with. It's those things I like when traveling.
Please do come again and see us!
Perfect winter getaway for our small family
We stayed for 4 nights with our two very young children, and had a great time. There was too much snow for a toddler to appreciate so we stayed inside quite a bit. The kitchen had an impressive assortment of equipment (we love to cook), the fireplace was cozy, the box of games upstairs provided a surprising amount of entertainment, and the hot tub was a welcome evening diversion. The location at the bottom of a ravine meant there were plenty of stairs to climb, but it also helped make our stay feel much more secluded and away from it all. And the property is perfect for making a little sledding hill. Pamela checked in periodically via text and was there for us when we needed anything. Overall a very cozy place and we’d highly recommend it.
Thank you for your feedback. You certainly did come when we had lots and lots of snow. The Hideaway is a gem in that it is so secluded and we call the stairs the Stairway to Heaven! It's good to hear even if the weather keeps you inside you were comfortable, entertained and had a good time. It's all about the memories.
Come back in the summer, it looks totally different.
Beautiful location & well-stocked cabin!
We enjoyed our book club retreat at the Hideaway. The cabin was stocked with everything we needed for a fun and comfortable stay. We loved hearing the stream and relaxing on the decks. Our group of 7 was very comfortable in this cozy cabin and we’d love to return!
Terrific to have worked with you. Appreciate your review and really hope you return to see us again.
It was great at "The Hideaway" Sundance
Everything was great. Pam and Lee were great hosts and very responsive. Everything worked great and the place is a hidden jewel. My dogs loved it too. Thanks
Thank you for your kind words and the great care you took of the Hideaway. As they say, Happy Puppies, Happy House! You were fun to communicate with and great to see you at the Owl having a good time. Great family. Congratulations on the newest one coming this year!
