Wonderful desert casita.
The casita, location and hosts were all wonderful. Highest recommendations.
Great people, great property!
Secluded, private, homey casita at the edge of the hills. Lots of interesting wildlife and great views in a desert setting. Great retreat!
Thanks for the nice review. Hope you are happy with your new house.
Peaceful Comfortable Casa
Tanque Verde Valley Desert Casa is a wonderful place to stay. It is spacious, comfortable and the outdoor space is a beautiful private and peaceful desert landscape. There are lots of opportunities to see wildlife and many birds.
Inside, the living space is open and light with views in almost all directions. The casa has a full kitchen that makes preparing meals easy. The only thing missing was a coffee grinder.
We would definitely stay again. Thanks to our lovely hosts, Sara and Ralph!
Excellent; bright; well appointed; spacious
Very welcoming property; spacious and bright; extensive outdoor space with seats tables and fire pit; handy for all parts of Tucson - particularly for hiking in Saguaro NP and the Catalina mountains.
Perfect Visitors. Always welcomed.
Comfortable, peaceful Casa with all the delights of a rural setting close to great activities.
Sara and Ralph are terrific hosts. They have designed the Casa with comfort, beauty and practicality so the living is easy. There are lovely vistas from every window, and the bird feeders are kept full to attract the birds that are here in the southwest, many which we do not see in the Midwest. The Casa is perfectly located for golf at 49ers, breakfast lunch or dinner at the golf course's Rincon Grill, hiking at Saguaro East National Park or a less strenuous stroll at Agua Caliente Park. We again enjoyed the Festival of Books on the University of Arizona campus just 25 minutes away with 400 authors to choose from. Truly a great month in the desert!
Tucson area has some wonderful Museums. The Sonoran Desert Museum and Saguaro National Park, east and west, are outstanding examples of Desert life.
Culture and Education are priorities in this area with Tucson Symphony, Tucson Opera and numerous educational and cultural events at the University of Arizona.
Special event during the winter months include the Gems show, Tucson Rodeo, Book Faire, and 4th Street Fair. There is something of interest every weekend in the Tucson area.
