Needs a good clean
A lovely cottage that we were very dissapointed in. Smelly towells..dog hair dirt and dust everywhere.Dirty cutlery crockery and cookware. Out of date milk in the fridge. So much potential lovely property just needs a scrub from top to bottom.

Needs a good Clean
I am writing to inform you that we were quite unsatisfied with our accomadation. Although the place was nicely appointed we found it to be very dirty..from the floors with dust and dog hair to the cutlery, cooking utensils and crockery which all had to be washed before we could use them. The stove was filthy and the oven was too and there were food scraps left on the cooking utensils. Also the bathroom with some surface mould and the towells supposedly clean that smelt like they had been left damp. There was out of date milk in the fridge.Even some of the furniture was dirty. This place needs a good scrub from top to bottom..I know it is pet friendly..but that is no excuse for it being dirty. Its a beautiful little cottage which could potentially be so much better. I feel that this is all totally unacceptable considering the fee we paid per night and I will not be reccomending this place to anyone. I look foward to your response. Very Dissapointed. Lynny Mast

Fabulous retreat!
Had a relaxing weekend at this well-equipped cosy cottage- and the dog had a fabulous time too! So close to dog beach and safe fences at the property. Would love to return one day...

Unclean and misleading information
Cleanliness - Yes it is dog friendly, but....... Upon arriving it was clear that the property was not thoroughly cleaned. We found dog hair everywhere - on the couches, on the throw in the lounge and on every surface floor throughout the house, including the kitchen corners and underneath the fridge. Not a few strays of hair, but clumps of it. In addition, the place was dusty and smelly and really needed a good spring clean. On Saturday morning we spent $50 on cleaning products as we could not find any in the house, save for a bit of dishwashing liquid and a filthy rag that we were supposed to use for the dishes. Two dirty towels were left in the bathroom. We did not want to walk bare foot on the surfaces in the house. I spilled some water on the floor of the kitchen and when I wiped it with a paper towel, not only did it once again picked up loads of hair, but it was almost black with dirt – needless to say, the kitchen was not very hygienic. When we looked for a broom or a vacuum cleaner, we could only find the nozzle of the vacuum cleaner and it was so clogged and absolute filthy, that I don’t know how it could clean anything. The actual vacuum cleaner was not even there. The broom was outside, but once again so dirty, that I would not even use it to sweep outside surfaces, let alone inside. We spent more than an hour cleaning the house on Saturday morning and left it in better condition that when we arrived. Misleading - It's not pet friendly - unless your pet is a dog. The property is advertised as pet friendly. It's not. We took our 5 month old kitten with us and at the point of having our bond returned were advised that one of the owners was allergic to cats and we would not be getting our bond back - any of it. Nothing was stated on the website or signed agreements that cats are not allowed under any circumstances. Only references on the site are "pet friendly" and "pets welcome". It seems that a cat is not a pet in the eyes of the owners. Have since disputed the case with the owners with an E-Mail and a phone call which have both been completely ignored.
