The house was perfect for our holiday getaway to spend time with our Marines and daughters-in-law. The backyard was fantastic for our dog. The host left us a welcome note in the kitchen and even included the dog. The host was very responsive to any questions or messages including to our late arrival and issues using our passcode. He responded quickly and we were able to get our stay started with ease. Highly recommended and we will consider staying here again for any future visits. Also very quiet, family friendly neighborhood.

Great for Families Visiting Marine

We went to visit our young Marine in training at Camp Geiger. It was great to be close to base and have a nice roomy place to come back, kick back and rest. Really nice kitchen, living and eating area. Really good for any families going to visit their young Marine who do not want to fight finding a place to stay at a hotel near by. Nice family neighborhood.

Graduation

My sons girlfriend and I came down for a graduation from Camp Geiger. The house was in a nice neighborhood, and was very easy to find. We both enjoyed the little down time here. It was very clean and well kept. We would definitely stay again if in the area.

Home Away From Home

We stayed here to visit our son at Camp Geiger; the home was warm and welcoming. We purchases a turkey dinner with all of the fixin's from Cracker Barrel to celebrate the holiday before he had to leave NC. Our son received a change in orders and the host was very accommodating, easy to reach and quick to reply. Thank you for everything!

Lovely Home in Jacksonville, NC

We were very comfortable in this beautifully decorated home. If we stayed here again I would request reading lamps for my children's rooms (the ceiling light fixture was only light). Also Master tv was out of order... But beds were very comfortable, and plenty of space.

Great home!

This location is perfect to be close to the base for visiting our Marine. The neighborhood is very safe, quiet and nice. Overall the house is a very nice home. Cozy, roomy and spacious, a great gathering home for quality family time. The kitchen is well-stocked with pots/pans with updated, new appliances. The fenced yard is huge and was a bonus for traveling with dogs. The only drawback from this home is the shower in the master bath. It’s very small and should be updated to remove the tub and expand the shower stall, to match the feel of the rest of the updated bathroom. Having a washer/dryer is very nice! Lots of streaming channel options too. We had issues with the internet and the owners were super apologetic and responsive and sent the cable guy to fix it the same evening. We had a very nice stay, enjoying the family time. Thanks for sharing your home with us.

Seamless process. Property could benefit from a few more amenities (extra towels, towel racks, etc.). Screen door needs some repair work to avoid slamming. Other than that - great!

Good home to stay with family

We came to North Carolina to visit my son who is active duty US Marine. I really enjoy staying in that house. It was clean, beds are comfortable to sleep, two bathrooms and laundry, which is very convenient. I really recommend this property for everyone.

Cute cozy home

This was a very nice and cozy home, the family and I enjoyed our stay. I would just suggest that extra sheets, towels, toilet paper and paper towels are left. Also as a previous hotel manager I would have liked to see the same type of setup for shampoo etc. Otherwise a very nice stay.

Good, but expensive

Property is in a nice neighborhood with a large yard. It was day 2 of 3 before we found any kitchen towels in the dryer, so kitchen duties were very difficult with no paper towels and only one washcloth and one hand towel we were instructed not to use. Floors weren’t clean, especially my bathroom. Seemed like the general cleaning wasn’t completed before our arrival, and the back storm door wouldn’t close so it banged around with the wind — kept us up at night with storm winds. Notified the property manager, but she never sent anyone out to fix it. Has the potential to be great, but my experience wasn’t good. Also wasn’t aware what I thought was the final price didn’t include fees for a 2nd dog — the fault of VRBO site — so, my costs went up roughly $90 after I already booked it. Owner not willing to work with us, and it was already too late to cancel without penalty. Only gave it a 3 because the large fenced yard was great for my dogs, otherwise I would’ve given it a 2.

Very clean, great internet, perfect stay

This was a perfect place to stay for a long weekend. The house was CLEAN, I was very impressed. Location is a bit out of the way, but only 20 minutes from the beautiful beach and 10 minutes from stores in Jackonsville. House was well equipped for us as we wanted to make our own food. There is also hose out front to clean off sand from the beach and the main room TV has a HDMI cable to hook up to a laptop for easy streaming. Internet speed was also excellent.

PEACEFUL & RESTFUL

If you're looking for a peaceful area this is it. The was our first time doing something like this and we really enjoyed ourselves. We enjoyed our stay so much we wanted to stay longer. It was equipped with everything you needed, even close to the stores. Very clean home! It was home away from home. I look forward in staying at this property again. Jose was easy to communicate with and answered any questions promptly.
