This is a very spacious and beautiful home! Everyone in our group had a wonderful experience. The kids absolutely loved the pool and outdoor area. The backyard is surrounded by trees so there was lots of privacy. The kitchen was well equipped and there’s a great outdoor bbq area as well. The location was perfect for us. We visited the Austin Aquarium, Barton Springs and toured the Capital. Great family trip to the Austin area!

Enjoyed the stay house very large and spacious, beautiful outdoor grounds swimming pool made our days delightful to enjoy fun times together as a family.House was lacking soap to bathe so bring your own toiletries, and no additional trash bags available. Weekend Getaway

Our large group (12) enjoyed our stay at CasaAzul. The house was clean, comfortable and offered LOTS of space for everyone. The highlight is definitely the backyard / pool area. Pool and outdoor kitchen are great and we enjoyed our stay.

Perfect Family House

Several of my family members commented on how this house was perfectly met the needs of our family trip to Lake Travis. The children, and the adults, enjoyed swimming in the wonderful pool, and the rooms were large, well-furnished, yet kid friendly. We are so glad we booked this home for our time together.

Even Better than the Pictures!!

This property was absolutely perfect for a weekend getaway with friends! The pictures don't do it justice - the living room is massive, (perfect for movie nights), the pool was clean and just the right temperature, and the kitchen had everything you could need for a weekend at the lake. We really appreciated the snacks, pool towels, and game cabinet throughout our stay; 10/10 would stay again!!

Large family weekend

The house was very nice and spacious, seriously, so much room for everyone, it was great for our large family weekend. The only complaint was the algae in the pool and there was absolutely no shade. They had nice pool towels and everything you need to entertain by the pool from the grill, to the dishes and the utensils

Great pool and outdoor area

The house was perfect for our girls trip. The pool is amazing and we spent most of our time out there. The only negative was the pool guy came during our stay and we had to get out for over an hour while he cleaned it and out a bunch of chemicals in there. There is a ton of fridge and freezer space and a separate ice maker. I loved the garage apartment as a separate space and the circle drive is great for easy access in and out. Would definitely stay there again!

The house was well Kept and beautiful, Only thing I can say is that the fridge wasn’t working and we had bought a lot of food. We had to use the one that was in the garage apartment and go back and forth for what we needed which was a little bit of a hassle. But our kids had a blast

Peaceful Paradise

We enjoyed our annual girls' weekend here and found the house to be perfect for our needs. The spacious layout gave us plenty of room to spread out, and the comfortable beds, with an abundance of pillows and blankets, ensured we all had restful nights. We spent a lot of time enjoying the pool and the outdoor seating area. Communication with the management was excellent throughout our stay. One thing to note is that there’s a limit on toilet paper, so it’s a good idea to bring a few extra rolls. The house was well-equipped for cooking, and we were pleasantly surprised by the extra freezer space. We cleaned out the automatic ice machine, and it quickly started making ice for us again. The kitchen easily accommodated multiple cooks, and the living room was a cozy spot to unwind after meals. Overall, this house provided a fantastic space that would be comfortable for multiple families.

Minor problems

We were very disappointed that the barbecue grill did not work. The small grill that was left was too small to accommodate the large steaks we had purchased at a local meat market. We could only get 3 burgers on it at a time. Had we known the large grill did not work ahead of time we could have gotten a larger one to work for a family of 5. One of the reasons we chose this property was the outdoor grill. On a positive note, there was a ton of room. Beds were comfortable and we really enjoyed the enclosed patio. The pool was amazing. We were there for family time and not for sight-seeing. So, we did spend a great deal of time at the location.

Best Couch Ever

We stayed here from Friday night until Sunday morning. For the cost, I would have expected better toilet paper and the property to be a little cleaner. It’s beautiful though dated, but very spacious. The water in the shower in the second master (not really a master but an en-suite) smells terrible. Also, the mattress in that bedroom is hard. I showered in the hallway bathroom and slept on the couch the second night. The couch is amazing. Also, please note the 4th bedroom is in a DETACHED apartment on the property. Also, the carpet needs to be cleaned everywhere. It’s white and therefore, has lots of stains. Other than that, it was okay, but I won’t shell out that kind of money again for two nights. I’ll just go stay at a hotel.

To clarify, we do mention in the listing that the 4th bedroom is in a separate garage apartment to ensure transparency for our guests. As for the water, the property uses natural well water, which can sometimes have a distinct smell, but it is completely safe for use. Regarding the carpet, we keep it regularly cleaned and maintain high standards for cleanliness, though there is one small stain in the living room, as you mentioned. We'll certainly take your feedback about the mattress and toilet paper into consideration for future improvements. Run down and dangerous

Beware of the overlay carpet tripping hazards in the lounge, the ancient gas hobs with broken/sticking /dangerous controls and broken rising-extractor system (the smell of cooking in every room). The grill caught fire the first time we tried it and we had to extinguish the gas line fire. The App instructions for the pool etc. are none- functionally (pool valves in off position) and the pool cleaner clearly had not functioned for a while(very dirty pool). The pool had a clump of chemical granules in one location on arrival - looked like that was the answer to a badly kept pool. Not a cheap rental, no checking by the management company before our arrival - the location is great. Yet another bad advert for VRBO.

We are sorry to hear that you were not happy with your stay. The pool company, which comes every week, cleaned the pool thoroughly and the pool was independently inspected the day before you arrived. We have pictures proving that the pool was clean and looks just like the pictures posted on VRBO. We told the guest that the pool is not heated so there are no controls for the pool required as there is nothing to adjust on the pool yet they kept insisting to control the pool. There are controls for the hot tub that are printed next to an iPad for adjusting the temperature of the hot tub. No other guests have had an issue using the iPad to control the hot tub. One of the knobs recently broke off of the stove and we have ordered a replacement. The grill had an issue and we are working with a licensed technician to repair it so that it will be available for future guests. We promptly respond to all issues at the property as evidenced by over 30 other positive reviews.

Not bad just needs some work

Overall the house is beautiful and the area is amazing. Was very disappointed in the swimming pool and outside sitting area. The lights and fan around the outside sitting area didnt work at all. The pool was very dirty. The whole bottom of the pool was bugs and leaves. The top of the water was sunblock, leaves, grass, bugs and dead frogs. The waterfall feature in the pool doesnt work at all. Did contact property manager and he said the pool was cleaned that morning and i tried to send him pics of how nasty it was and it just wasnt showing up in the pictures cause of the sun reflection. He sent me a pic of the pool supposedly from that morning and asked me how much more cleaner did I want it. Sorry but if it had been cleaned that morning it wouldnt have been that nasty with dead frogs floating in it. The men in our group cleaned it as much has they could just so we could enjoy some water. If it wasnt for the outside area having issues it would have been an amazing stay. If you do rent this home the jet tub in 1 of the master suites doesnt work at all and make sure you bring off the mosquitos are horrible. I would rent this home again if they guaranteed the outside stuff was fixed and cleaned.

We are glad to hear that you found the home beautiful and the house amazing. The pool is professionally cleaned every week and a separate inspector skims the pool the day before the guest arrives to ensure the pool is in pristine condition. The guest sent pictures of a perfectly clean pool which matched the pictures that the inspector took the day prior. There was no evidence of any debris or dirt in the pool. A picture is worth a thousand words and despite the guest's claims of "sun reflection" in the pictures, the pictures showed a pristine pool.

Dated & Unsafe Construction Zone

The pictures do not tell the story. With the exception of the pool & pagoda areas, our Family of 7 adults were disappointed with the property and strongly question the "Premier Host" rating. Our host was responsive and the only positives I can list are the pool area, pagoda and sun room. The property is very dated and both the main home and guest home had a horrible smell upon arrival. It took opening windows and turning on fans for several days before is subsided. It appeared to have been closed up for a long time. Although the kitchen and bath amenities were top notch in there day, they are now very old, dingy, rusted and falling apart. The refrigerator was so loud that it was hard to have a conversation and the bath fixtures are crumbling and disintegrating and the ice maker made ice cubes that had dark grey chunks in it -- we didn't notice them for a couple of days. The skylight in the master bath was disgustingly water stained from a a roof leak. Many lightbulbs were burned out. The wood decks attached to both homes and the wood deck along side the new pool patio are falling apart and unsafe. The wood stairs and planks would break off as you walked on them, screws were sticking out everywhere and paint was pealing from the entire covered deck and pergola . We would not have allowed children in these areas and it was mandatory to wear protective footwear. A new concrete retaining wall was recently poured and there was a "Pardon the Construction" sign posted. NOTE: There was no prior mention of any construction taking place at the home. The only upgrades to the home were the gorgeous pool and cooking pagoda. Very dissappointing, especially at this price point.

These guests stayed in the home for a week and we checked in with them multiple timed during their stay. The ONLY concern that was every voiced during their stay was tied to how much time it took for the hot tub to heat up (45 minutes). We were never contacted about any of the other 'issues' that she references in her review, so we were unable to address any of them during her stay. To suggest that there is a 'construction zone' is simply untrue. The deck is older than the rest of the outside area, as the Pool, outdoor kitchen / space are all new. The deck is scheduled to be replaced at the end of the summer (it is perfectly fine / safe for use). We are not even sure how to respond to the rest of this review - while this is an older home, to suggest that fixtures were 'crumbling', is simply false. The pictures you see on the listing are a true and accurate representation of the home. The refrigerator is much larger than your 'standard' size and has been ordered. Unfortunately, based on continued supply-chain issues, the delivery date has not been set. That said, the refrigerator noise is an inconvenience, but works fine, and is not so loud that it should disrupt conversations or sleep. We want every guest to enjoy their stay so when early communication with this guest was tied to a complaint about the time it took to heat the hot tub, and knowing they were scheduled to be here for an entire week, we quickly offered them the chance to find other accommodations and refund their stay. They declined this offer. Unfortunately, if a host is not made aware of concerns during a guest-stay, we are unable to address the issues, and that was the case with this guest. As acknowledged in the review, we were responsive to what communication we did receive from her. Our hope is that people will read all of the reviews, rather than just this one. The home has been / is booked solid through the entire summer and there has been no mention of a 'smell' in either the main house or the garage apartment. We've had guests in and out every weekend, so the home has not been closed up for an extended period. We have an inspection team that checks each property prior to guest arrival, which includes checking light bulbs so we question whether there lights burned out. Had we been notified, we would have gladly sent someone out to replace them. We are sorry that this guest did not enjoy their stay at the home.
