Large country contemporary with 4 bedrooms (one is semi private) with queen size beds and 3 full baths.The Living room and the ground floor bedroom also have large sofa beds. Home on 15 unspoiled, very private wooded acres with picturesque seasonal stream. Sunny, open floor plan with premium appliances and amenities, ample closets and storage including garage for skis. snowboards, bikes. Close to skiing (Hunter 15 min, Windham 25 min), hiking and swimming at North South Lake. For dining, antiquing and live entertainment, Woodstock, Saugerties, Catskill and Hudson are roughly 15-20 minutes away.
MAIN FLOOR: Great room with soaring cathedral ceiling, exposed wood beams, wood stove (not for use). Open kitchen with gas stove, granite countertops and island, stainless appliances. Open dining room seats for 10-12+. Bedrooms on this level 2 bedrooms (Queen size beds) share full bathroom with bathtub. Bright, open design kitchen / living room / dining room make for great family together time. Large enclosed porch is screened in and overlooks deck to yard, stream and woods.
TOP FLOOR: Sleeping on this level: huge private Master bedroom (Queen size bed) with full marble ensuite bathroom (luxury marble / stone shower) Private deck balcony overlooks yard, stream and woods.
LOWER FLOOR: Large nicely finished two area space with a queen size bed in one area and one large sofa bed and a couching the other adds flexibility of sleeping accommodations for 5 more people. The host was amazing! The property is very private but conveniently located so you’re not far from services. There was plenty of seating for our group and 3 full bathrooms, one on each floor. It was a lovely quiet setting, warm and really well appointed. We will stay there again!

Great location. Spacious house for a family get together over the holiday season. The track to the house is long, not clear when booking. We had to clear a large branch off the track on arrival, and had to dig ourselves out when 9 inches of snow fell night before we left. All part of the adventure I guess, but less able people may had a problem.

My family and I had an amazing stay at this beautiful home nestled in the woods by a stream with beautiful views. The house is so roomy yet each individual room feels so warm and cozy. My daughter, son-in-law and their dog took the first floor which has a convenient walk-in entrance, living room and bathroom. My other daughter and her two friends took the bedrooms on the main floor. I had my own personal suite on the third floor that included a large bedroom, a full bathroom, office space and amazing views outside my windows. Most of all, we loved to gather in the main space after a fun day of skiing and exploring. We cooked, shared meals at the large dining table (more than enough seating for the 6 of us), and cozied up on the comfy couches and chairs to watch tv, chat about our day, and even do a puzzle. To our hosts: thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with our family. We had a wonderful time!

Thanksgiving Getaway

This was a wonderful place to stay for the long Thanksgiving weekend. It was the first we’d gathered the two sides of the family together in a long while, and the house was both big enough to never feel like we were on top of each other and cozy enough that we spent plenty of time together enjoying each other’s company as we all hoped we would. Extra thanks to Ellen who greeted us upon our arrival and made sure she was available should anything went amiss, which never did thanks to the attention the place clearly receives.

Just perfect

We had an amazing Thanks Giving weekend! The house is beautiful and just made for a relaxed get away with friends. The huge kitchen was perfect to prep our own Turkey and ThanksGiving dinner, and the beautiful location in the middle of a forrest allowed us to walk our TG calories off the next days. Ellen was a fantastic and lovely host, who made us feel very welcome and home immediately. The correspondence was prompt and easy! We look forward to visiting again, and recommend everyone this beautiful home to everyone!

Very Comfortable Homey House

We had a great time at this house. Despite the weather, rain and some freezing rain, which did not allow us the opportunity to hike in the area, we had a fantastic time. The house is very comfortable with all the conveniences you would want. In fact, it was so comfortable that we would refer to it as "homey!" Plenty of space to enjoy time together as a family as well as enough space to have some alone time when needed. Ellen was wonderful and was ready and willing to help in any way she could if questions arose about the house and the area. We just had a fabulous time!

100% Amazing, Comfortable & Relaxing

We had a 100% positive experience in this huge, beautiful, clean, comfortable house!! We were a family in town for a Catskills wedding. We had 6 senior adults and 4 not so senior adults all sharing this space and it worked out perfectly! Always a bathroom available with 3 to choose from. The rooms are on all 3 floors so you could get alone time if needed. And plenty of group gathering space too! The grounds are all wooded and we saw a blue heron, a piliated woodpecker, many deer and lots of squirrels and other birds. Really a great retreat and home base. Cannot recommend it more highly!! Thank you so much!!!!

Perfect for a family gathering

Our three families (Grandparents + Cousins) spent 4 nights at the "holiday house" and it was exactly what we needed! Evenings around the firepit, mornings playing games in the large living room, watching snow fall through the wall of windows and all eating together around the big dining room table. Our dog loved being in the woods near a small creek as well! Far enough from neighbors but close to many different activities in the area!

A great place with all you need

We really loved this house in the woods. The main room was fantastic for people milling about in different groups. When it was cool out, all the windows open to really bring in the outdoors, though luckily with screens because the mosquitos had mustered a fairly large army besieging the house. When it got hotter out, the a/c worked great. Ellen was very response and had a wealth of information about the area. Overall, this is an excellent find and a well cared-for place for a decent-sized group

Loved this retreat-like setting in the woods. The house was spacious and comfortable for our group of six. The screened in porch was great for sitting and enjoying the sound of the stream. Easy access to routes to places we wanted to explore. Our host was welcoming and helpful.

Amazing getaway

We did a family trip here and the house was just incredible. It was immaculately clean, spacious, and comfortable. We were 9 adults and had plenty of room to spread out. The kitchen was large and had everything we needed, the dining table was beautiful for family dinners, and the bedrooms were all very comfortable. The pull-out was a little less comfortable and ended up sleeping on the living room couch, which was very comfortable. And the best part was the location. We didn't expect the house to be as remote as it was, but it was just what we needed. Nestled in the woods away from it all, we were all immensely relaxed. We spent a lot of our time on the screened in porch listening to the creek flowing or the afternoon thunderstorms rolling in, and it was so pleasant. We also had morning coffee on the porch when it was still cool out. That was our favorite room. The only downside to all this nature was the bugs. Be sure it put on lots of bug spray and tick repellant when you venture out. Overall this was a 5 star accommodation and we thank the hosts for such a wonderful stay.

Secluded mountain house

If you are looking for peace and quiet, this is the place to be! House is set back so you don’t see or hear any neighbors. Stream in backyard provides a lot of tranquility. House good size for family of 5 - kids range in age from 17. - 29. Close to hiking with great scenery! Kayaking and paddle boarding in close proximity as well. Woodstock is only 20 minutes away - cute town to walk around. Restaurants, groceries , wineries/cidery nearby as well. Was a great location to get off the grid for a bit!

Long weekend in Catskills

We rented the property for a small family gathering. The property was as described and fit our needs perfectly. We chose to not leave and used local trails for relaxing walks. Everything we needed was in the house. It was a great get away.
