Perfect place for a couple of snowbirds

I picked this place for my parents to stay for a month to get away from the cold and snow of a Minnesota winter. They enjoyed their stay. The home is comfortable and well appointed and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Charming house in a lovely neighborhood, felt like a home away from home. We visited my daughter in Matthews. We were so close to everything we wanted to do, outings from downtown Matthews to Crowders mountain, the Raptor center, IKEA and so much more! The house was stocked with things we didn't even know we needed. We highly recommend and hope to be able to return.

Appreciate the flexibility

2sisters and 1 brother stayed in town to be close to our other brother and his family during a Hospice stay. We sincerely appreciated the flexibility of our host to permit us an extension of our stay as things were constantly changing at our brothers house. The location was perfect for us and Matthews is a very welcoming place

We had an amazing wonderful stay! We went to visit my daughter, about a mile away. We went to her favorite spots in downtown; Crumbles, Rocky Mountain Chocolates and Seaboards. And many places not far in Charlotte; Carolina Raptor Center, IKEA and the Charlotte fair. Each night the home welcomed us back. It felt so much like my home. Everything we needed was there, and so much more. The home was clean, everything was in working order and even more charming than the pictures could portray.

Charming & Cozy Home

My wife and I had the pleasure of spending the better part of four months at this property. Although our own home was missed, we found ourselves feeling very much "at home" at this location. I am not speaking in hyperbole when I say that you'd be hard pressed to ever find an owner more responsive than Melissa. The minor hiccups we encountered were quickly resolved and made right ... immediately. Their concern and attention ensured that our extended stay was seamless and enjoyable. On to the property itself ... the neighborhood is fantastic. Within walking distance to downtown Matthews and all it has to offer. Most enjoyable for us was the easy access to Four Mile Creek Greenway; one of the best amenities the area has to offer. The neighborhood is quiet and inviting. The home is very well appointed, tech (wi-fi, TVs, etc.) work as expected, blazing fast speeds suitable for a work from home over VPN situation. Evening in the covered porch area while making use of the gas grill made for great family time. Comfortable furniture and plenty of room to enjoy numerous rounds of hide and seek with a three and one year old. Our family is truly grateful for the opportunity to have stayed at your property but more importantly to have had the benefit of your kindness and hospitality. Thank you Melissa! Abraham & Kristen

Very quiet, clean and really comfy beds and linens! Walking distance to cool pubs and restaurants. Well stocked, modern kitchen, large back yard, screened in patio- we will be back next year!!!

Fantastic home and neighborhood

My family and I had a wonderful time at this property. My 2 small pups had a great time running around in the backyard. If you are visiting the Charlotte area, this is a great location. We drove to Ballantyne which was very close (10 min) and also headed up to Lake Norman which was only about a 25-30 minute ride. Neighborhood was extremely quiet and private. We are relocating to the area and will recommend for family and friends to stay here. We would stay here again in a hearbeat.

We had a wonderful time staying at the house. It’s so close to downtown Matthews where there are tons of fun places to eat and things to see. There’s also a park 5 minutes away that has a nice playground and great disc golf course. The house fit 4 adults, 2 dogs, and a baby perfectly. We were all comfortable the entire time. The house manual is very well thought out, there are tons of food and activity suggestions that we took advantage of. We were in town to attend a wedding in Charlotte and the 20-40 minute commute to the wedding events was always pretty easy. Thanks for the great stay!

This quaint home was cozy, comfortable, and clean with attention paid to every detail. We stayed for two weeks as we visited our kids and grandchildren. The neighborhood was quiet, friendly, safe and within walking distance to downtown Matthews. We had plenty of room so our grandkids could stay overnight for several of the nights. Comfortable home in a beautiful neighborhood. Great place to relax and enjoy the family.

Came to spend Mother’s Day with daughter and family. Enjoyed meals together, spent the mornings and evenings relaxing on the screen porch, watching and listening to the beautiful birds. Hiked the greenway together, watched the fledgling baby owls being feds by the parents. Used this beautiful home as our base to enjoy Western North Carolina.

Excellent! Would stay again!

We loved this property and felt right at home! We stayed for 11 nights and did not want to leave! If we ever return to Charlotte and need a rental again we would definitely rent this property again. Very cute, very clean. Beds were comfortable for us. We were glad for the fenced backyard as we have two dogs. If you have small dogs though keep an eye on them as our little one was able to squeeze through some of the fence posts. He's a little rascal! The neighborhood is really cute and we were very comfortable there! Very much enjoyed our stay!
