Birdsong | Pleasant Outdoor Space

This lovely home was built in the classic bungalow style of the 1940's and is located just blocks from Main Street. The neutral palette throughout the home gives it a light and airy feel. The hardwood floors are original to the house and are in excellent condition. The interior design is elegant, simple and comfortable. The ample yard, lined with vegetation, invites you to relax on the back porch and watch the world go by.

Birdsong has two spacious, well-appointed bedrooms which accommodate up to four guests. One of the bedrooms has a king bed and the other offers a queen bed. Each bedroom is carefully curated and tastefully decorated in French Country décor.

The living room has a dining table, a comfortable sofa, an oversized chair and a piano making it a memorable space to enjoy a visit with family. Birdsong also has a fully equipped kitchen perfect for staying in and enjoying a meal together.

House Rules as Required by the City of Fredericksburg's Short Term Rental Ordinance
- Observe the City of Fredericksburg Quiet Hours (10pm to 7am in residential zones). No music of any kind after 10 pm.
- The City of Fredericksburg is a Dark Sky Community with outdoor lighting restrictions. All outdoor lighting is encouraged to be turned off when no one is present to use the light.
- Observe the designated on-site and off-site parking spaces.
- Place all trash in designated containers.

Great place

This place was cozy and super clean place. It's a two block walk to Main Street for eats and shopping but highly recommend. It was great having a kitchen for small bites and light cooking.

Birdsong Weekend

Very special place. Extremely clean and comfortable beds. Very good location with convenient access to Main St and other attractions. Notes: 1) no TV, 2) No ceiling fans. The No TV is a plus in my opinion, it forced us to be in the moment without distractions. We have ceiling fans in every room at home so we are very used to air moving. If you are used to air movement, I would suggest bringing a couple of box fans. The AC was able to keep the place cool. Would book again.

The cutest guesthouse!!

The Birdsong house was the perfect little spot for our annual Mother/Daughter getaway. It had everything we needed for our stay and the beds/bedding were so comfy! The home has so many cute details and we enjoyed sitting outside in the mornings with our coffee and enjoying the beautiful backyard. We will definitely stay here again!

Perfect small rental

We enjoyed staying in the cozy comfy home. There were 3 of us. The beds were comfy. Bath is really pretty and well appointed even though it's small. It's an older home, but well updated and kept up.

Beautiful home

Beautifully redone bungalow. While it appeared to be on a main road, we did not hear any traffic noise in the evenings. Very comfortable with small touches all around that made the stay more of a home than a rental.

We three ladies were very pleased with Birdsong where we celebrated an 80th birthday. The home was charming, and we spent a good deal of time on the deck admiring the backyard. There was absolutely nothing lacking in the supplies left for guests.

Cute older home

Cute older home that’s been updated with plenty of charm remaining. Would suggest owner put street number somewhere you can see at night. I don’t think there is any visible number on the house or curb. Took us awhile to figure out which house it was as we came in about 9 pm. Also some tripping hazards at the gate to get into the front yard. Especially at night. All the closets are locked. Assume this is because owners have personal items there. Only coat hangers available to hang clothes on or live out of your suitcase. The beds were very comfortable. They had a very good water purifier in the fridge. Good idea because Fredericksburg water tastes awful. Great kitchen. Very well stocked. Nice bathroom.

Perfect for our girls trip! So many thoughtful details added for our stay, like the cute coffee bar and hotel-like toiletries in the bathroom. The house has a great location and was very comfortable. We can't wait to come back!

Unfortunately, there was a gas leak at the property and we were unable to stay; however, the owner and the property manager responded immediately and found us new accommodations. I would definitely give this location a try again.

Cute Cottage

This is a lovely older model home with the perfect modern touches...I loved the shower, book shelves & book selections (avid reader here). I was grateful for the extra touches they had available; clean filtered water, coffee, tea, shampoo, loofah & the little extras. Only thing I couldn't find was the iron. The bed & pillows were really comfortable. In the early morning hours I grabbed a book & a coffe, sat in the backyard & enjoyed the breeze. I would defintely be staying here again when at Fredericksburg, blessings to all.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Birdsong. The home is a perfect size for one or two couples to enjoy. The kitchen has everything needed to prepare a snack or a full meal We especially enjoyed sitting around the fire pit on a cool Fall evening. No doubt we will return!

Good little place

Property was nice and had its own complimentary items such as shampoo, conditioner, nice towels, bed was comfy, and WiFi was great. On the down side it was a walk from Main Street, no tv, and the street the house is facing is very busy. But overall good stay.

This was such a lovely and quaint property. It was very spotless, had tons of character, and was close to downtown. The linens were great and not typical of normal places like this. I thought it was excellent and I would definitely recommend it and will stay here next time I come.
