Short stroll to Lakes edge - Wi-Fi included

An idyllic yet modern kiwi Bach located just 2 minutes walk to the lake edge in popular 4 Mile Bay, Wharewaka. A large, sunny deck comes off the living area - perfect for watching the sun go down while you fire up the BBQ in the warm summer months!

The master bedroom has a queen size bed and the second bedroom has a set of single bunks. The section is spacious and private plus there is plenty of off street parking. All in all this is the perfect wee property for a couple or a small family, not suitable for 4 adults.

The boat launching ramp is just down the road at 3 Mile Bay. The Rainbow Point dairy, takeaway shop and restaurant are less than 1 km way, everything you need for your holiday close at hand!

NOTE: Under Kiwi Bach tradition you are expected to: Bring your own linen (towels/sheets/tea towels)or use our hire service. If you wish to add the linen hire of $15 per person please select this option when booking or let us know in the comments section.
Strictly no parties, a few quiet drinks are fine, but you must be respectful of the property and its neighbours.
This is a family home in a quiet residential area, not suitable for large groups of adults. Disruption to the neighbours will not be tolerated.
When making a request please include information on the age range of the guests intending to stay and plans for while you are in Taupō. Please note we may contact you for more information on behalf of our owners.

All bookings are accepted on the basis that you have read, understand, and agree to abide, and be bound, by the Terms and Conditions and House Rules.

GUEST RESPONSIBILITIES
If we are notified of parties or illegal activity you will be evicted and are liable for any damages to the property. We have a strict no party policy (large groups, hens, stags etc.) and do not allow functions or large gatherings.
The guest named on the booking is responsible for the property for the duration of the stay and must take all reasonable care of the house. Respect for neighbours regarding noise and cars must be considered, we reserve the right to terminate the contract without refund if we receive complaints.
All guests are your responsibility so please take care and parental supervision is required for all children at all times, especially around stairs, balconies, water and fires. The holiday home is not to be used as a function venue, events or activity that involve a larger number of people than stated on the maximum occupancy.
All homes are privately owned, please treat them with respect and if an incident/damage happens, report it ASAP so it can be repaired or replaced. For damages be aware that your credit card will be charged for the repair or replacement plus a 10% handling fee.
All properties must be left reasonably clean and tidy, ensuring all furniture and appliances are returned to where they were on arrival. You will have paid a compulsory cleaning fee which covers a general service clean. If the property requires extra cleaning, you could be charged an additional $40.00 per hour for this.
If you use a BBQ it must be left clean, if not a $40.00 fee will be charged for cleaning.
ALL rubbish must be removed from throughout the property on your departure; failure to do this will result in a minimum charge of $40.00 for labour and council disposal fees. Some homes allow up to ONE bag of rubbish to be left as part of the clean fee, specific property instructions will be at the home for you.
The property must be left secure and safe upon your departure. Please check all windows, doors and appliances including heaters, electric blankets, elements, and sockets before you leave the property.

Wee school holiday adventure
The place had a nice modern eclectic cosy vibe to it. Glimpses of the lake and as it says a very short stroll to the lake. Lovely deck and even a friendly local black kitty visited on a daily basis. The kitchen was fairly well equipped which was perfect for cooking for my coeliac daughter though a few things need an upgrade/ replacing that may have simply slipped their notice but I let the property manager know who was happy to look into it. Countdown was only 5 minutes down the road, away from the hustle and bustle of Taupo, which made it very convenient and the ladies working their were lovely. Overall we had a wonderful stay and would highly reccomend it to others.
