A dream gulf front beach house! - Off The Hook

Off the Hook is a beach goers dream! Come enjoy unobstructed views of the Gulf of Mexico! This house has a fabulous location and with stairs right down to your own beach front! Enjoy surf fishing or boogie boards, while your beach house is right behind you! The house has a great layout with two gulf side bedrooms. The open floor plan is inclusive and enjoys great gulf views.
This property is on a highly desirably through lot. This part of the island only has one row of houses on the gulf side, giving you more privacy and a more personal beach experience. These are rare and rent fast!
As with all of our Dauphin Island Beach Rentals, all linens and towels are provided, WIFI, along with a fully-outfitted kitchen. There will be a starter pack of toilet paper, paper towels, and trash bags; please plan on bringing more for day 2 ;). A great beach vacation is waiting on you!

Please note the following:
1. Minimum Age for the Primary Renter is 25, and Primary Renter must be present for the entire stay.
2. Maximum Occupancy numbers include Children 3 and over and cannot be exceeded at any time.
3. All of our Homes are Non-Smoking.
4. A signed Rental Agreement is Required, which contains additional Rules and Guidance.
5. This property does not allow weddings or parties.
6. Check-in time is 3 pm, and check-out time is 10 am.
7. Start dishes and linens before departure.
8. Take the trash can to the street on Tuesday night and Friday night.
9. This home is pet-friendly, dogs only, 2-Pet Maximum Limit - $100 pet fee per pet applied.

Great spot the house was set up perfect for couples and it was clean . The only suggestions I have were s the outside deck needed a little love and a TV in the other master would have been nice and you really need some mixing bowls . We had a great time staying in the house

This was the perfect space for my large family! We cooked Thanksgiving dinner and had an amazing time at the beach. Would recommend!

Great location but......

The location was great, right on the beach and the next person was three houses down and had everything they said they had. The only problem we had was when we got in the house there was a dead roach in the hallway to one of the bedrooms. When we woke up the next morning there was a roach upside down dying in the living room. Oh yeah some of the tile in the kitchen was cracked but that didnt bother me.

Great place

This is a great place to rent I really enjoyed my stay overall everything was perfect , the house is spacious and clean and the view was outstanding including the dolphin show we got every day with a dolphin pack passing by multiple times a day , we all loved our stay here .

Perfect Beach House

We had a wonderful weekend getaway to Dauphin Island. Our first time there and we loved it. House was directly on the beach. Amazing for the kids! They played on the beach from sunrise to well after dark. House was nice - great kitchen and back porch. Wonderful stay. Plan on coming back soon.

Off the hook

Property was exactly what we imagined it to be. Love the right on the beach location with a very private beach front. Issues were addressed quickly when we mentioned needing gas for the grill tank. The one bed was full of sand but that was an easy fix of throwing it in the wash while enjoying the beach. Since we were a group of mostly adults the couches didn't seat all of us at one time so overflow sat at the dining room table. But that isn't a deal breaker for returning again. Would recommend.

The house location was perfect The house is perfect for your pets but not humans. With two couples and a 13 year old and 40 year old we all had our private rooms however no one could sleep. The matresses were old stained and worn out the pillows also had a smell and were old as well. It was hard for everyone to comfortably sit in the living room. The living room had a small love seat, two straight back chairs and two comfortable arm chairs. I loved how it was dog friendly and understand as a homeowner why would I invest if pet owners do not have their pets trained but sleep and comfort are a must. We left early.

Fall getaway

The property was as described, smelling very clean upon arrival. You enter into a nice “open area” of the dining/kitchen/living-room area for gathering . The appliances are newer and work well. Our stay was during October with highs of 74* and the beach side bedrooms became very warm with the curtains closed, significantly warmer than the living room! There are ceiling fans and portable electric fans provided for air circulation which helped. A few maintenance issues were noted with multiple high nails (hazard) on the staircases and decks. Some beach side deck boards were rotting, with an hole big enough for a dog paw. Previous guests damaged the four Adirondack chairs which were left unusable. I made 2 functional by salvaging seat boards. Consideration should be given to current and ongoing construction of a new home adjacent to this property. The construction is projected to take 1 year (per the builder). IF construction noise bothers you this may be a concern. The management company was responsive to our concerns which are only offered to improve this property. Overall we enjoyed a great vacation and would consider returning to this location.

Great location but house needs work

Entire house needs a deep clean. There was mold in the kitchen sink. The shower was dirty on the east side. Check the ledge in the shower window. It is full of trash, old razors and someone’s lost necklace. The refrigerator needs to be taken apart and cleaned. It smelled bad when we arrived. This house is in a great location but there are so many broken things that it is not a good place to stay. Would never rent this house again. The fridge doesn't cool well. We had meat go bad in 3 days due to poor cooling. The ice maker won't dispense ice. The dishwasher only ran periodically and didn't clean well. Garbage disposal has been removed for some reason. This makes the kitchen sinks a huge pain for cooking. We had to go buy sink screens to keep stuff out of the drains. Still don’t understand why someone would do this. The washer and dryer have only 1 setting that will run and you have to go trial and error to figure out which one that is. Gulf side deck hose bib is broken away from the house and may break at any time. Also the hose spray handle on that hose is broken. The twin bed in the west bedroom left side bed, is unstable and falls when sleeping. Looks like the frame is missing parts to hold it together. The hot and cold water is reversed in the east bathroom. The hand towel holder in the west bathroom is gone. Just a bolt sticking out of the plate. The toilet paper holder in the west bathroom is barely hanging on, with screws out of the wall. Also, the furniture in the living room is amazingly sparse for a 4 bedroom house. There isn't even a sofa. It's just 2 chairs and a love seat. We didn’t have seating for 5 adults to watch a movie. With the state of the place it feels more like an unkempt bachelor pad than a nice beach house, which it could be, if someone fixed everything and spruced it up.

Our beach house was perfect for our girls trip. My favorite part was the full deck on the ocean side with stairs down to the beach. It felt very safe and comfortable. The beds gave a great nights sleep. A fully stocked kitchen was very appreciated since we did a lot of cooking. I would highly recommend this beautiful beach home!
