About Marsha Roberts
A native Californian, originally from Santa Cruz, I have lived and fallen in love with the Sacramento area after arriving here 30 years ago. With a career in technology, and traveling the western united states, we raised three children in Sacramento, enjoying the many outdoor recreation opportunities and beautiful climate, and accessibility to the world with our stunning Sacramento International Airport. I personally enjoy traveling, cycling, skiing, hiking, reading, cooking and wine tasting. I look forward to sharing my knowledge and passion for Northern California and the Sacraento area.
Marsha Roberts purchased this House in 2014
Why Marsha Roberts chose Central Sacramento
Recently relocating back into the East Sacramento downtown area from the suburb of Carmichael, this location provides walkability to nearby restaurants, coffee shops, bars, parks, and public transportation. I love the walkability and being a part of the blossoming downtown vibrancy, access to the peaceful beauty of the American River Bike Trail, and central location for public transportation and outings to the Bay Area, Tahoe, Foothill and Napa Valley Wineries.
What makes this House unique
With a Mediterranean tropical landscape, vast stone patios, balconies and shaded by a giant English Oak, this centrally located on a quiet, peaceful, property is in the heart of Sacramento, my home feels like a Mediterranean Villa. All this, with access to public transportation and interstate freeways, beautifully appointed and meticulously maintained. I am blessed to have found such a special home, and to be able to share the Guest Suite with like-minded adventurers and travelers.

A wonderful relaxing stay on L (not a through) Street in historic East Sacramento!
Marsha was a wonderful host for our month-long stay away from the Minnesota cold and snow. Our "home" was situated in a uniquely beautiful quiet section (The Fab Forties) of East Sacramento. The fact we did not rent a car during our stay, the location within walking distance to restaurants, coffee shops, grocery stores, and a hospital (just in case!) was of great importance to us.
We did a lot of entertaining, cooking and just relaxing in this sweet little villa apartment. And the fact that Marsha enjoyed sharing her baking treats made it all the more special. Thanks, Marsha, for all you did to make our stay comfortable and memorable. Dianne and Larry
So kind of you to take the time to write such a thoughtful review! I appreciate that more than you will ever know. It was wonderful to meet you two and have you as my guests. You made this your home. . . enjoying the garden, sunshine, and I will forever remember your caring for the patio, battling the squirrel pruning and bamboo leaves! I hope you will remember the villa 3930 in your future plans to escape the snow and visit your wonderful family.
We were delighted with our time in Marsha's villa. The property is wonderfully convenient to central Sacramento, but on a quiet street in a lovely neighborhood. It is very well-equipped and Marsha could not have been been more gracious. We would stay here any time we could.
Thank you for your review. The pleasure was truly mine. Looking forward to the next time. . . I will sharpen my knowledge of local donut purveyors for your next visit!
I really enjoyed my stay in the suite while visiting from Seattle for work and to see friends. I felt at home. Beautiful home, surroundings, quiet and clean. Walking in the area is a treat. A perfect match for me. Marsha was a great host!! I thank you and hope to see you again! CS
It was a pleasure to meet you have you stay. Until next time!
Amazing Home, Host and Location
We spent Memorial Day weekend at this lovely property. Marsha was extremely attentive to our needs and went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant. This includes providing us baked breakfast treats, cookies, cherries and seasonings that we needed. Marsha also provided us a Weber barbecue so we could grill on Memorial Day. The little patio/backyard is delightful. The home has just the right amount of space and is very comfortable. It is within walking distance of a number of coffee shops and restaurants. We will definitely be back!
Thank you, Liz, for taking the time to write such a thoughtful review. It was my pleasure to have you and your husband as guests. I will look forward to the next opportunity to host you in my guest suite. With gratitude, M
My husband and I were on a site seeing trip of Northern California and we were lucky enough to find this gem in East Sacramento. The space was well appointed, located and landscaped. The host was welcoming, she even baked us brownies. I recommend this property.
Thank you Dr. Lin! It was my pleasure to host and meet you both. So glad you found my guest suite, but not surprising with the exhaustive research you obviously did planning your trip. . . so impressed by your knowledge of local detail, things to do, places to go, and restaurants to try! Practically locals before you arrived. All the best, and should you head this way again I would love to see you. M
We were so lucky to find this perfect spot in downtown Sacramento. We were there for the Thanksgiving holiday 2016. A very cozy comfortable one bedroom suite in a wonderful quiet neighborhood. This one bedroom is very well appointed. You have everything you need. Incredibly fast wifi, beautiful garden patio outside your door, and close to everything. We highly recommend it!
It was such a pleasure to meet you both, I couldn't have had a better introduction to hosting through VRBO! Looking forward to seeing you again on future family visits to Sacramento.
