We love South Fork, CO have been visiting the Wolf Creek Pass area since 1991. However, we have been visiting the state of Colorado since the year that we were married in 1977. purchased this house in 2005

Why chose South Fork

The feeling of peace and majesty driving into the area is so comforting. We found ourselves going back year after year. We now find that it is a great place to bring family and friends or just visit by ourselves. We love the mountains of Colorado especially in the South Fork, Creede, Wolf Creek Pass area.

What makes this house unique

There are also fun activities, excellent dining, cute shops, awesome views, and wildlife galore. We hope that you will enjoy staying in our home and visiting the area as much as we do. We look forward to you coming back to visit often.

Wishing you safe travels,

K Nixon

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time and the house was wonderful. Lots of room. Everything we needed to cook was supplied in the kitchen (pots/pans etc.). The owners were very accommodating and allowed us to extend our check out time.

Owner's Response: George, we are glad all of you enjoyed our home! Thank you for your kind words. We have also made many a wonderful meal in that kitchen. In fact, it’s a tradition now. Every time we head up there as a family, my husband will make his delicious homemade chili, and we all eat it out of those huge coffee mugs! There is something about eating chili out of a large mug while looking out the window at a beautiful Colorado sky. We hope you get a chance to visit again soon.

We enjoyed the fire pit and beautiful views from the backyard. The kids played ping pong in the garage. We were able to craft and play all kinds of games in the great room. Took some day trips to Pahosa Springs and Creede. Really enjoyed the escape from the Texas heat

Owner's Response: Happy to hear all of you had such a great time. We also love the views from the backyard, and head on up to our Colorado home anytime we get tired of the Texas heat. Highs in the 70s in June, We certainly couldn’t find that in Texas! Did you get the opportunity to soak in the hot springs in Pagosa springs? It is a fantastic way to spend an afternoon, and there is nothing quite like relaxing in a hot spring while enjoying the beauty of the snow. Creede is also a wonderful little town nestled in the mountains. My nieces and nephews love feeding the chipmunks at the mining museum, and the theatre there is truly top notch!
