"The Barn" -- 1800s barn recently renovated, 5 min walk from ferry or downtown

1800s barn completely renovated in 2016, ideal for families traveling together or family gatherings. Large lawn for yard games. 5 minutes from Downtown, the Whaling Museum, and Children's Beach. On private way with off-street parking for up to four cars. Set between Brant Point and the Cliff and bordered by 2 acres of undeveloped land for excellent privacy.

***Note that the new Nantucket Short Term Rental rules limit our sleeping occupancy to 12 as of January 1, 2023***

Although the house sleeps 16 if every bed is used, we recommend a maximum of 10 adults (two per available room). Or 12 adults if 4 are willing to share the bunk room together.

Has beds to sleep up to 16 in 5 bedrooms (4 bedrooms in the Barn and 1 in the Loft). The rooms are:
(1) Primary with full bath (queen bed plus 2-twin day bed). Sleeps 2 comfortably in queen; and with 1 or 2 on the split day bed, but crowded.
(2) Queen. Sleeps 2.
(3) Queen with full bath. Sleeps 2.
(4) Bunk room with two bunks (each sleep 2) plus twin sleeper sofa. Sleeps a total of 5.
(5) Loft with queen sleeper and twin day bed. Sleeps 3.

The centerpiece is the Great Room including dining for 12 plus 6 in the open kitchen. Great for hosting family gatherings.

We're right behind our neighbors at the Nantucket Hotel. If you needed more rooms you could consider springing for a few at the hotel while the the rest stay at the Barn.

The Loft on the property sleeps 3 with full bath and kitchenette.

During the summer we prefer week-long rentals with Friday changeover. This has advantages for cleaning and for booking a car on the ferry. Maximum of 4-week rental. Pets are negotiable.
