Stylish Gastown Loft/Soaker Tub, Steam Shower & Wood Stove

Hipspace rentals presents this custom designed loft with the perfect mix of elegance and comfortability: ideal for a couple's retreat, a family visit, or a business trip. It's 1200 sq ft (120 sq metres) of unique space right in the centre of Gastown Vancouver. Our brick and beam loft has been completely restored with every modern convenience. 20 ft ceilings (6 meters) hardwood floors, marble counter tops, king sized bed, queen sized bed, soaker tub, and a relaxing steam room are some of the luxury finishes.

The suite is close to many great shops, and attractions as well as Rogers Arena, BC Place, Vancouver Convention Centre, the Sea Bus, and the Skytrain to the airport. We are located in the entertainment district so there are acclaimed restaurants and bars all around us and weekends can get noisy from the street and music in the area.

Other details to note:

Depending on the season, we may not approve booking requests that leave a one night vacancy before or after the request. Please send an inquiry about 2-night bookings. Minimum 4-night bookings are required during the Christmas/New Years holiday, unless approved otherwise.

The unit is located on the second floor - there is no elevator.
The spiral staircase inside the suite are narrow and can be slippery. Not recommended for younger or unattended children, or people with mobility challenges.

If you require a pack and play, we have one that must be reserved in advance and is based on availability.

Pets are not allowed unless authorized by the owner prior to check in. Service animals are only permitted when assisting someone with a disability.

This is an old building with high ceilings. Our AC and fans allow for some cooling and circulation, which provides comfort during the summer months. Cooling below 24 C (78F) during the hottest weather periods can be challenging. If you require cooler temperatures you may want to consider alternative accommodations.

Turn off the lights, lock the doors, and return the keys
Please read our guest guide's "departure checklist" page for detailed check out instructions.
If parking was pre-arranged with us, the parking FOB (remote) must be returned to the lock box. A $250 fee is charged for the lost FOB.
Late check-outs (not pre-arranged) will incur a $60 per hour fee, min one hour.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Only registered guests are allowed on the premise without permission; children must always be supervised. Unregistered guests my be evicted and fined.
Changing/removing cables from AV equipment is prohibited; a rewiring fee may be incurred. No candles of any kind! $250 charge for lost parking FOB.
Late check-outs (not pre-arranged) will incur a $60 per hour fee, min one hour. A $30 fee is charged for lost items that we return mail to guests.

A beautiful property in a great location with easy access to a large variety of food, drink and shopping. Close to less savory neighborhoods, but also easily avoided. Communication with the host was exceptional. The property is well stocked with essentials. Located above a popular bar, noise was never an issue for us. I would visit this place again and I don’t hesitate recommending it.

Impeccably clean, comfortable, and well located. The secure parking spot was an added bonus despite the distance to the condo. All of the light switches were labeled which made things much easier, and anything you might need to make a light meal was organized and available in the beautiful kitchen.

This place was exactly as pictured and so beautiful. It was spotless and comfortable, and they provided lots of towels. Having access to a washer and dryer was great. The steam shower and big tub were a nice bonus. The location is excellent. We had so many options for food and drink within steps of the place, but also had city bikes, city scooters and the subway very close.The hosts were easy to communicate with and we met them and they were very nice and helpful. I'd stay here again!

Great property. We loved it. We were concerned that it might be noisy during the FIFA games because the unit was right above the Blarney Stone bar, but we were so impressed that none of the noise transferred upstairs!! It really is a great location -so many places to eat just steps from the door.

This condo was gorgeous and very well appointed. Exactly as described. The parking garage is located several blocks from the condo (few minutes walk). Mei Ling responded to our questions very quickly and made sure all was good. The location is convenient for walking to Gastown restaurants and Canada Place. The only negative about our stay was the significant number of homeless in the neighborhood as previously described. It was our experience that none of the homeless approached us at any time while walking past.

We had a wonderful stay and would happily book this place again. The condo itself is beautiful, spotlessly clean, well-equipped, and exactly as described. Comfortable beds, great kitchen, and a fantastic location for exploring the area. Communication with the host was generally excellent and the property exceeded our expectations in almost every way.Check-in / Parking: 1 starThe only real issue was the check-in process related to parking. Finding and accessing the designated parking was confusing and stressful—signage was unclear, the spot was tight/hard to locate, and the instructions provided weren’t detailed enough. It turned what should have been a smooth arrival into an unnecessarily frustrating experience, especially after a long drive. A clearer map, better signage, or more specific parking guidance would make a big difference.Everything else about the property and stay was outstanding. Highly recommend (just prepare for the parking situation on arrival).

Fantastic property run by professionals. Would recommend this property. Should be noted that the circular stairs to the main bedroom might be tricky for some people as they narrow and shallow. Not a complaint but should be a consideration if you're someone who is steady on their feet.

The loft apartment was a great stay. We were a family of 4, two adults and two kids and found the loft to be spacious, comfortable and accommodate all our needs. We loved the classic gastown look of exposed brick and long windows with all updated features in the kitchen, bathrooms etc. Everything was very nice.

Eddie and Marv are brothers who originated in California, then moved to Vancouver, Canada, when they were young. Both love Vancouver, but always longed for their California roots. So they decided to enjoy the best of both worlds. And also a new one. The pair own, design and renovate special spaces in Vancouver, San Diego and Las Vegas. They make it their lifestyle to travel in between the homes, to constantly improve them and share them with others.

Eddie is a snowboarder, rock climber, and sax player. Marv is an avid golfer, vegan, and sport enthusiast. Both Eddie and Marv have traveled all over the world.
