Welcome to Après Chalet! This rustic cabin is the perfect combination of classic “cabin-in-the-woods” feel with a modern twist. Enjoy relaxing by the wood stove and partaking in a vast collection of DVDs for a restful night in, lace up your snow boots and head off to Stevens Pass Resort just 15 minutes away for a wintry adventure, or chill out in the sparkling hot tub after a long summer day of swimming in the nearby Skykomish river. One stay at Après Chalet and this comfortable home will make its way into your scrapbook again in no time! 810 sqft on a 1900 sqft lot.

Great getaway spot for exploring the Cascades

The cabin was comfortable and we enjoyed our time. Everything that we needed was supplied. The hot tub was so wonderful! The bedrooms were tiny and that wasn't the best for my claustrophobic husband but otherwise everything was great!

Wonderful stay-away

Had a great relaxing time away and enjoyed the hot tub and the being able to relax in front of the fireplace with cocoa thanks for making this a great vacey

Great cabin for a weekend away

We had a great time at this cabin while on our weekend away. It had everything we needed and more. The hot tub was great after a day of hiking.

Perfect ski getaway

Woke to rain on the roof, cooked breakfast in the well fit-out kitchen, skiied Stevens Pass, hot tub, Smores, sleep, repeat.

Comfy, cozy, well-appointed and superbly managed cabin experience! We'd love to come back next ski season! Fast wifi, stocked kitchen, terrific and private hot tub were on point. Only minor drawbacks are a bit of daytime road noise and angled ceilings/tight quarters in bedrooms which didn't bother us much because the beds were SO comfortable.15 minutes to Stevens Pass was great!!

Cool spot, perfect for Steven's Pass ski trip.

Cozy cabin, you can tell the owners have put a lot of thought & care into it. Plenty of firewood ready to burn, nice hot tub too. Perfect location, 15 minutes to Steven's Pass which made for 2 fun days of skiing without a big drive. Also very close to town of Skykomish for quick errand runs. Only issue was some mouse poop in the kitchen but host was super responsive.

Great location, hot tub

We loved the location of this cabin, and it was well-equipped. The hot tub was perfect when we came home from skiing. I'd recommend it for year round stays, as it's very close to the river as well as Stevens Pass. When we turned into the neighborhood, there was a sign stating that there was a water boil order in effect, which would have been good to know before we arrived, since the nearest grocery store, which we stopped at before we got to town, was not super close. While the main floor was super comfortable, if you're claustrophobic or move a lot when you're sleeping, you'd find the upstairs beds, tucked exactly into the space under the sloping roof a bit tight.

If it wasn't for the hot tub

We might have chosen another location. The 70 's cabin was comfortable enough with an updated an kitchen and bathroom. We did not utilize the deck and outdoor seating, because there was too much traffic noise from the adjacent freeway, the hot tub jets helped drown that out. The place was clean and mgmt responsive. Would have liked it if the cabin was better stocked: there was no salt and pepper, nor sugar or oil - something we are used to seeing at other VRBOs. Overall it was adequate, since we basically only ate and slept there.

We were sorry to hear this guest did not enjoy their stay at our popular Apres Chalet, especially considering we spoke with them multiple times throughout, including an in person service call delivering the specific type of tea they requested- yet they made no mention of any other issues until writing a revivew. We are very transparent in the listing that this home has the potential for road noise and although this is not an issue for most, to choose one of our many other options if guests are sensitive. We also confirmed the home DOES have salt and pepper (along with an array of herbs and spices), and we do provide a small selection of sugar packets for our coffee service (as detailed in the listing). Oil is perishable and an opened package of sugar is unsafe and not allowed by the health department- we also are transparent about what is provided at the property and encourage renters to read details before renting.

Eventful and beautiful.

Unfortunately, I became sick during our stay keeping us down a bit. But our first evening was full of relaxing in the hot tub and movies until bed after a long drive. We hiked the advanced path of lake serene. Very beautiful and worth the struggle. Considering I’ve never done a hike like that and I’d say I had a bit of a rough time while sick but totally worth it! The view was amazing at the top and got to recover in the hot tub which was very clean. I could find many spiders (daddy long legs) in corners downstairs but you’re in the woods- what do you expect with tenants not always in also. Overall if I were to return to the area I would definitely consider it again! Very beautiful and private, didn’t see any neighbors unless out walking. I feel like this is an amazing place for people who would like to explore and hike. The surrounding places looked amazing and we wanted to go to all of them! Thank you for having us!

We are sorry to hear about your illness during your stay but are so glad you were able to make the best of it, we will keep a better eye out for spiders at this cabin but it is a cabin in the woods and this is just how the area is. We hope to host you again in the future hopefully in good health this time around, we have a few different cabins that have amazing hiking access.

Great Cabin, Great Location

The cabin was in a great location and is nice and clean and everything worked properly. Nice kitchen with everything you could possibly need. Plenty of wood cut for you so you can make a cozy fire in the wood burning stove. Check in was difficult for us because I never got the checkin instructions because I hadn’t signed the agreement apparently. The email came from the property management not VRBO, so I never found it in my searches. And the VRBO app doesn’t have the phone number to call, so you have to go to the website for the number. So make your you have everything in order before you head to the cabin. The beds upstairs are in rooms that are very tiny due to the pitched ceiling. We were lucky we only had one person in each bed because we had to sleep diagonally—the head of the bed is not usable because of the pitched ceiling. There is a whole list of instructions to clean up the place before leaving including stripping the beds, putting towels in bags, cleaning kitchen, taking out garbage, etc. Yet there is still a substantial cleaning fee; they say it is for sanitizing the place. And there is a large note asking for tips for cleaning. We were a bit confused since we left the place in a very clean state. I always leave a tip for hotel cleaning staff but cleaning fees are not collected at hotels. We were happy there was cut wood for us and the place was very nice, so we did wind up leaving a nominal tip, but it just felt weird to be asked on top of the fees we paid and the extensive list of checkout/cleaning procedures. All in all the place is very nice and deserving of 5 star rating.

I apologize you had some difficulty with check-in - we send multiple documents to guests letting them know we communicate off VRBO (including our email address & text number) so they can expect information to come directly into their inbox. We don't communicate via the VRBO app as connection is unstable around here and we don't want guests to rely on an internet application to source important instructions - we want to make it as smooth as possible! We appreciate your feedback on our cleaning practices. All lodgings charge cleaning fees, but vacation rentals itemize bills to show you cleaning fees - hotels roll them in with the room rate. Our properties are private homes being rented out and our housekeeping cleans each home top-to-bottom between each guest; I promise, we wouldn't charge a fee if we deemed it unnecessary (which is why we have no service fee on direct bookings)! Our checkout procedures help our housekeeping to focus on sanitizing and readying the home for the next guest (sometimes in a very short span of time) so they don't spend extra time picking up after the last. We don't require tips but do give the option to guests to leave tips for our housekeeping if they believe the home was exceptional. If you'd like to book with us again but want to spend less, check out our site under Tree Line Rentals where we charge no additional service fees and rent our properties at the lowest possible rate.
