Spend your vacation in this gorgeous and historic Greek revival home in charming Lockhart. One of the most prestigious and exclusive homes in Lockhart, this home was built in 1953 . It still has many of the original architectural features, but has been updated with some modern comforts. Known as the “Gambrell House”, this mid-century home was one of only two homes ever built by the respected commercial architectural firm, Page, Southerland and Page. This comfortable and spacious home is the perfect location to enjoy Central Texas and ideally located within 20-30 minutes of the Austin Airport, Circuit of the Americas, San Marcos Outlets, Austin, and San Antonio Riverwalk. Our lovely and historic town of Lockhart is known as the Barbeque Capital of Texas, but has much more to offer! Whether you are planning a family get-away, a ladies shopping weekend, or a couples retreat, let our home be your “home away from home”.
The Space- Our home is two stories and over 3,500 square feet. The upstairs has three comfortable bedrooms and two baths: A large master bedroom with a king-sized bed, walk-in closet, dressing room and private bathroom (shower) and two bedrooms with queen beds, large windows and a shared bath (bathtub). Our home has two TVs with cable and Wi-Fi. There is also a lovely sitting/reading area upstairs.
The downstairs area has an elegant formal dining room, kitchen, formal living room/study, and comfortable family room with plush seating. Both the formal living room and the family room have 2 additional pull-out sofa beds. There is a full downstairs bathroom (shower), a half-bath and a laundry room with a working washing machine and dryer. The family rooms open on to a serene porch and pergola with a fire pit to relax at the end of a long day. There is ample parking with a circle-drive on the side of the house. The yard has beautiful, well-established trees and an expansive yard. This is a pet-free home, non-smoking home. This house may not be suitable for children. We are happy to discuss a request for an exception. No parties or events are allowed without pre-arranged consent. Non-registered guests are not permitted to stay overnight.
Guest Access – The entire home is yours to enjoy, however, the garage and attic are restricted areas. The upstairs balcony is also restricted for the safety of our guests.

We are guest-focused and will provide any suggestions or recommendations upon request. This is a private home rental and we will respect your privacy. However, we are a quick phone call away should you need anything during your stay.
