About this property

Charming Cottage on PEI — Cozy, Quiet, and Year-Round

Welcome to your perfect Prince Edward Island retreat! This cozy, modern cottage offers the peace and quiet of the countryside while keeping you just minutes from everything Charlottetown has to offer. Whether you’re planning a summer adventure, a fall getaway, or a snowy winter retreat, this cottage is designed for comfort, relaxation, and exploration—and pets are always welcome.

Step inside and enjoy a space that feels like home. The open living area is warm and inviting, with cozy seating, a smart TV, and large windows that fill the space with natural light. The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals, and the bedrooms are peaceful, comfortable, and thoughtfully furnished. The bathroom is modern and spotless, with fresh towels and essentials provided.

In the warmer months, take advantage of nearby outdoor activities. The West River boat ramp is less than five minutes away and is perfect for kayaking or stand-up paddleboarding. The Confederation Trail, only ten minutes from the cottage, offers beautiful routes for biking or hiking.

When winter arrives, the landscape transforms into a snowy playground. Cross-country ski or snowshoe right to the front door, or enjoy groomed trails just minutes away. If downhill skiing is your preference, the Mark Arendz Provincial Ski Park at Brookvale is only a 20-minute drive. After a day outdoors, curl up on the sofa with a warm drink and a bag of Storm Chips—pure bliss!

I also keep a small apiary nearby and am always happy to chat about bees and beekeeping. In the warmer months, I can take guests to the apiary for a closer look—full bee suits provided for safety, of course. Each guest receives a complimentary sample of my honey, and additional jars are available for purchase.

The cottage is your private retreat, yet I’m always available to answer questions or provide recommendations. Friendly help is nearby if anything unexpected arises, so you can enjoy peace of mind during your stay.

Located just 15 minutes from Downtown Charlottetown and the University of Prince Edward Island, the cottage provides the perfect balance of quiet country living and convenient access to shops, restaurants, and attractions. Year-round accessibility, a pet-friendly environment, and a variety of seasonal activities make this the ideal getaway for families, couples, solo travelers, and pet lovers alike.

Whether you’re here for adventure, relaxation, or simply a change of scenery, this cozy cottage is your perfect home away from home on Prince Edward Island.

Quiet Cottage only minutes from Charlottetown

We stayed for 7 days at Humble Pie Cottage and found it comfortable and quiet. Highlights included morning coffee on the deck listening to the neighbour’s rooster off in the distance ( not loud, as houses are a distance apart), and watching sunsets from the living room windows. The cottage was well equipped in the kitchen, and there was also a washer and dryer. There is a winery just up the road, and groceries are available nearby. Highly recommend this place for a relaxing vacation.

Charming and Comfortable

We stayed for a week in August and loved the cottage. Favorite parts: 1. eating dinner on the deck, enjoying the view of the countryside, 2. the big yard where my ancient dog basked in the sun, and 3. the fully equipped kitchen. My son also loved the twin bed tucked under the eaves of the house. Thanks for your hospitality!!

About the host

Host profile image
Hi, I'm your host Sue. Micah and Frankie are my dogs, and my
much better halves, ha ha!! Though I'm originally from Ontario, I've
always been drawn to the Maritimes. First Nova Scotia and now
the Island. When I am working I am a veterinarian, but when I'm not, I enjoy being able to unwind in such a peaceful place. There are so many outdoor activities available. My own personal favorite is kayaking. Nothing compares!

Why they chose this property

Just a few minutes away are red sand beaches, golf courses, hiking trails, and boating. In the winter downhill skiing is nearby, and you can cross-country ski and snowshoe out the front door! In season, there is a winery within walking distance. So many great options... depending on the time of year of course! Humble Pie Cottage is my chance to share this idyllic setting with you. Enjoy!

What makes this property unique

My favorite thing about the cottage is the feeling of being in the country, but still only15 minutes from Charlottetown. It is so peaceful. Such a great place to unwind and get away from the stresses of our usual daily lives. The 360 degree view lets you see gorgeous sunrises and sunsets. At night the moon and stars are so bright! There are so many stars that I haven't seen anywhere else. Even better, the northern lights are often visible to the north. It's such an amazing place!!
