Secluded Lodge near Whiteface Mountain & Adirondack Wildlife Refuge with Hot Tub
Beaver Creek Lodge is a secluded 3 bedroom, 3 Bath lodge on 3 acres, about 3 miles from the Whiteface Ski Center, & about two miles from the Adirondack Wildlife Refuge. Beaver Creek is ringed by tall trees & mountains, & features a rustic porch for relaxing, while sipping your morning coffee, or watching the sun set, as well as a hot tub and a campfire in front of two huge glacial boulders. A fully equipped kitchen & a washer-dryer, complimentary high speed, wireless internet access & an HDTV flat screen, with satellite TV, exercise bench and recumbent bike; foosball, air hockey and 45" TV in the finished basement, making Beaver Creek Lodge your home-away-from-home in the Adirondacks.
The master bedroom has a queen-sized bed and two more can sleep in the trundle bed, while two guest rooms have a queen, & two singles respectively. There is a full pull-out sofa in the den/living room, and a futon in the finished basement. The wood stove is backed up by a conventional furnace, and there's a room downstairs for stowing away skis & hiking gear.
No other houses are visible from the property, so the desire to get away from it all is enhanced & fulfilled.
Runners, cyclists, cross-country skiers and hikers will run out of time, long before they run out of stunning mountain vistas to enrich their exercise, which is a major reason Ironman is held here every July. When your busy vacation day fades to dusk, there are several fine restaurants within a few miles of Beaver Creek Lodge, and if you want to make a full night of it, the Olympic Village of Lake Placid beckons, twelve miles away through one of the most beautiful drives in America, through the Wilmington notch along the West Branch of the Ausable River. Mountain Biking is big in the area. The Hardy Road Trailhead is about a mile from the house.
Don't forget your camera, as wildlife sightings include bobcat, red fox, fisher, the harmless Adirondack black bear and moose. If you don't see any of them, Guests may visit the nearby Adirondack Wildlife Refuge, where friends and family can meet and learn all about wolves, coywolves, coyotes, fox, bobcats, and see educational demonstrations with non- releasable birds of prey, like Bald Eagles, Great Horned Owls, Barred Owls, Screech Owls, Peregrine Falcons, Red-Tailed Hawks, and a crazy raven named Abie the Fishman, who was rehabilitated, but hangs around to entertain visitors.
This is a relaxing Lodge, where you will put your busy careers on hold, spend quality time with friends and family, and renew yourselves, surrounded by the incomparable beauty of the Adirondack Mountains. Sorry, no pets, and absolutely no smoking indoors.

Everything was amazing and so homey. The hot tub was incredible! We sat in it as the snow fell down and it was magical. The kitchen, living room, and bedrooms were spacious and perfect.
If you are planning a ski vacation to whiteface this is the perfect vacation rental. The hot tub is awesome, the house is bigger than it appears in the photos. We were two families and there was plenty of room to spread out. The wood stove was great. We had a fantastic time.
Great location. No flag, as promised to mark end of driveway. Views great. Hot tub great. Nice. Porch. Easy flat driveway. Worked well for our family of 10. Will PM owner with more details.
This place was perfect. In a great location with privacy but also a short drive into town. We had our yearly golf trip with 8 of us and it fit everyone comfortably inside and outside. We will definitely be staying here again!
Our stay was a dream! Everyone loved the property and all the things it had to offer. The location was beautiful and very easy to find. Best holiday vacation!
This is a beautiful property and was a perfect spot to spend New Year’s and a couple of days skiing at Whiteface. Lots of space and activities for our teenagers and younger children, easy access to Wilmington for supplies and to the mountain for skiing.
It was the perfect place to come back to each night after our days cheering our athlete in Lake Placid. We enjoyed the hot tub with fresh snow on multiple evenings. Close to several great trails, beautiful setting to wake up to each morning and nice to be away from the traffic and busy areas.
We stayed here for the weekend with my friends and it was a great hangout spot. Beautiful stary nights, get spots to relax the front porch, hot tub, fire pit, or just inside! It’s closer to the road then it looks but at night next to no cars go by.
Went as a family to cheer on my son at Ironman Lake Placid. This location was quiet, relaxing & perfect for our family. We enjoyed exploring the local area, proximity to hiking, restaurants & sights. Wilmington is a beautiful community!
Property is located close enough to everything that you could ever want while also being very private and cannot be seen from the road. I highly recommend this property. Truly a gem.
Beaver Creek Lodge is fantastic. So much room to play and be outside. The middle area inside the driveway was perfect for kickball games and baseball. Fire pit is pefect. 10 of us stayed comfortably. Hot tub was an added bonus especially after a day of hiking.

Wonderful and accommodating! Great place to experience the high peaks.
The lawn was perfect for lawn games and stargazing. Boulders were awesome for kids. The kitchen and dining room worked well for a family of 7. Plenty of games for evening fun. Thank you.

We are pleased that you and your family enjoyed the home. We too play games such as baseball, soccer and have water balloon fights when we are there. Thank you for the review and hope you keep us in mind should you be in the area again.
Spacious and very functional, the cottage has everything one might need for a vacation in the mountains. It is well positioned between Lake Placid, Wilmington and Keene, closecto thecWhiteface ski centre and Flume trails. It has country charm with modern utilities. Not sure that every room has air conditioning, we didn’t need it as we had some cool weather.
The cabin is lovely and has a lot of space all over. Beds are comfortable and there is so much to make your stay a home away from home (cooking equipment, games, seating everywhere). We really enjoyed being able to have meals all together at the table (8 of us) and letting the kids have their own space in the house (our own was nice too).
Some things in the house can use some TLC (Deck furniture, foosball table and air hockey tables need some repair) but nothing that would deter your overall experience.
House was good, clean, well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, etc. Our only complaint is that key things did not work, eg, the game console for the kids and none of the downstairs showers worked properly. Shower off kitchen did not work at all, shower in master has no pressure. Area is pretty, hot tub was great.
We have been renting places in and around Lake Placid for 40 years. This is one of our favorites! The house was very spacious and clean. The 4 kids ( ages 3 through 7) loved the basement with the air hockey and foosball tables. The upstairs closet was loaded with games and puzzles for everyone if we got bored, which we didn’t because we could walk out the front door and take a nice hike. The hot tub was a perfect end to a winter day. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything we needed. The bedrooms were large and the beds comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay! We would recommend staying here in a heartbeat!

Great Stay
We came here to be at Whiteface Mountain for our son's competition in the USCSA, and the location to the mountain was perfect!! We were only about 5 min. away which was great. The house was very roomy and comfortable. We had 10 people and it never felt like we were in each other's way. We didn't even need the space downstairs, although, it was fun for the kids to go down there and play the games. The exercise room was a bonus that we didn't even realize was there. Some nights the Jacuzzi was not very hot, but the nights that it worked, it was wonderful. Would stay here again if we find ourselves coming back to the mountain. Thank you!!!

We will be going to the house soon and will re-write the instructions for the tub. Even my husband feels that the company's is a bit difficult to follow to get the temperature right. Thank you for your feedback and we are so very happy to hear that you enjoyed the home. We love to have guests like you and hope you keep us in mind next time you are in the area.

My family and I fell in love with the area many years ago after renting a house here each summer. There were many frowns from the children about a family vacation the first year. Second year and thereafter the question was, “When is our week at the Adirondacks?!” As we saw this tradition being passed down through generations, our oldest daughter and her husband decided to join us finding a home to make our own. And so, our Adirondack dream home became a reality at Beaver Creek Lodge.
Why they chose this property
When we saw the Beaver Creek Lodge, we knew it was the perfect place. We love the privacy of the property, and yet, it offers closeness to everything Wilmington and the Lake Placid area has to offer. Prior to our purchase in January 2017, this was already a very successful vacation rental home. Although we were not allowed to keep the many testimonials from the prior owner in the vacation rental websites, they matched our own pleasant experiences of the area and hope that future renters will tell the same story. If you already know the area, you will enjoy all the many activities and adventures you will find within a few miles from the home. If you haven’t vacationed here yet, we hope you enjoy it as much as we do and that your family will make it a regular vacation spot for years to come.
What makes this property unique
We love the swing on the front porch - drink your coffee in the morning while watching the sun rise or the sun set with a glass of wine instead. Firepit is great for s'mores and a game room to gather around and have fun!
