This beautifully decorated and spacious two-story vacation home has all the modern conveniences.Open floor plan with kitchen, large dining area, and living room. Three bedrooms, including the master suite, are upstairs, and the fourth is downstairs. The master bedroom has a great sitting area with a gas fireplace; french doors open onto the deck. Two new 42" flat screen TV's with Blu-Ray have been installed - one in the master bedroom and one in the living room. This is a "green" house featuring solar electric panels, tankless hot water heater, double pane vinyl windows, extra insulation and salt water toilets. 329 Descanso is one of the finest properties in Avalon. 329D | | | This vacation home rents on a nightly basis (2 night minimum, holidays and selected dates excepted; 3 night minimum mid-June through Labor Day). QUIET HOURS: 9:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. (use of outdoor areas strictly prohibited).

Beautiful house on quite street close to town. Got caught up in the hurricane nonsense but we stayed high and dry. No complaints whatsoever. Thank you so much for a great stay and service

Great location & clean

We enjoyed our visit to Catalina Island including staying at this nice home. Only disappointment was advertised with working fireplaces that did not work, some deferred maintenance including broken cold water valve in master bath and no blow dryer in same bath. Rental company was very responsive however could not correct issues during our 2 night stay. Still recommend this as a good rental company and home to stay in.

The yellow home for families

We had a lovely stay. The property was larger than expected for Catalina. 4 bedrooms was nice for our 2 families of 4 adults, 4 kids. There are 3 bedrooms upstairs (2 kid rooms with 1 set bunk beds and 1 set of twin beds) and a lovely master with a balcony. There are 2 bathrooms upstairs. One guest room downstairs with its own bathroom. Laundry onsite was nice. Kitchen and dining / living space is a nice open concept and large enough for family to comfortably gather. Property manager was easy to reach and very accommodating - easily the most responsive and helpful on our many stays to this island. Property is far enough from main strip so that it’s quiet and easy to rest. But not too far for walking. It’s conveniently located near the local food store which we found helpful.

Nice getaway

Property is as advertised. No surprises. Very spacious. Communication with managers was good. Check in/Check out very smooth. Rooms well appointed, very comfortable. Tile floors were a little 'gritty'. Other than that it was very clean.

Perfect home for big family

This is a perfect rental for us, our adult children, and their girlfriends/boyfriends. Enough bedrooms for everyone, and bathrooms. Fully equipped kitchen. Only complaint is maybe get better pans (hate cooking on scratched non stick pans). Vons grocery store was close by for light grocery shopping, The house is not far from town and love that it’s not on a hill, so easy to walk to restaurants and beach. Overall a perfect stay!

Catalina Gradation Celebration

We rented 2 homes for 2 nights. There was 16 in our group. This home is a newer home, many homes in area are older. It was a nice set up, with a really nice master bedroom. Nice size house! Not a big kitchen, but nice open floor plan, so it worked well for our group. Plenty of room for dining. Only a few blocks to everything, lots of activities to do on the Island. The negatives, the floors were dirty, not enough kitchen dish towels, need new pots and pans that the Teflon doesn’t peel. Sign on washing machine said to wash the pot holders, but there were none. Couldn’t get the upstairs TV to turn on. Would be great to Velcro the cushions to the dining table benches. Still a great place to stay.

Great location

Location was great and check in was easy. Master bedroom was nice with out door deck. Some windows missing screens. The house was nice but not clean, the floors were filthy (walking on them barefoot left you with very dirty feet) couch covers looked dirty and were stained and dishes were old with stains on the coffee cups.

This house was perfect for my group. Fit a large group well. The house was clean and roomy. Had a few issues like that there were no instructions for how to work anything in the house other than the tv. The fireplace didn’t work. The smoke detector’s batteries needed to be replaced so it constantly beeped. Otherwise, great location and great stay.

Great Place

To start, I got a little concerned about the check in, but I think I've read too many horror stories about rental properties. We checked in without any issues. Great house! Nicely upgraded and lots of space. Pretty clean for being a rental in Catalina. The neighborhood was nice and quiet after hours. Restaurants we're a very short walk away, but far away enough from the day crowd. Golf was a short walk away as well. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay!

My overall impression of the property was great. I am not giving it five stars for two reasons.

The carpet is disgusting. It's beyond dirty from everyone feeling their dirty asphalt and beach bottom shoes through it. The management company needs to invest in new sheets and towels. The ones in the unit were VERY rough and scratchy. Dingy too. They didn't look clean.

Very Charming

We went to Catalina for a little family reunion. I searched to sites very carefully to find the perfect house because my siblings are high maintenance. This little house is on the perfect cute and quiet street, close to the main shops and restaurants. Plenty of room for the eight of us to sit around the table and play games and eat a meal. The living room was large enough for us all to sit around comfortably and share stories. Everything was clean and tidy, the carpet could use a good cleaning. We all would stay in this darling house again.
