Mystery Trip

We chose Tamarindo for our annual Christmas mystery trip. This home was perfect for 3 generations. Right on the beach with lots of additional activities close by. Miguel, the manager, was most accommodating and very helpful.

Multigenerational Celebration

This trip was amazing, the house, the chef (Loha), the pool but what made this trip so fabulous was Miguel, the house manager. His knowledge, recommendations and availability made traveling to a location and country that we didn't know much about into a fabulous adventure. The house had all the necessary home goods that were needed to accommodate our party of 10 ages 2 thru 70+. But it went beyond that, there were games, books, tubes, reusable water balloons and tons of towels. The owners went beyond in setting this home up for a vacation rental. The pool and indoor courtyard made perfect locations for the kids to play. Miguel even put up a pool fence so that the mischievous 2 yr old wouldn't be able to take a swim on his own. Closeness to the beach was great but you have to walk a short distance to enjoy a swim in the ocean as the beach near the home is tidepools and a bit rocky. Town is a short walk or shorter golf cart drive away. Lots of mini marts near the home for quick purchases. Book it, connect with Miguel, pack your passport and swim shoes and have yourself a great vacation! Thanks again Miguel!!!!

Amazing Trip To Tamarindo

This house is absolutely incredible. The pictures don't do it justice. We had 10 adults celebrating a 40th birthday and it couldn't have been any better than this - all of us said we would come back to this area and this house. Miguel is awesome - he helped us book ziplining, private chef, private catamaran tour and arranged transportation from the airport. All top notch service and amazing people who we interacted with. If you are considering a stay in Tamarindo, this house is the perfect spot - you can walk to the town in just under 10 minutes on the beach and there are so many delicious restaurants and cute shops to explore. Thank you Miguel for making our stay perfect! We will be back!!

The Perfect Family Vacation

Everything about this villa exceeded our expectations. Our family of 8 spent a week at Carolina Del Mar and didn't want to leave. The bedrooms were spacious, each had its own bath and balcony/patio and were impeccable. The open living room/kitchen was set up for easy conversation between all of us. The best part was the back patio and pool, with a path that led to a beautiful (but rocky) beach. The house manager Miguel arranged all our activities - - he even taught us surf lessons. The villa location is minutes from the heart of bustling Tamarindo with dozens of delicious and beachfront restaurants. We even had 3 friendly raccoons and a monkey visit us in the villa. Can't wait to return!

Beautiful residence in Punta San Francisco

Having owned a home in this neighborhood for 10 years, it was interesting to stay in one of my neighbor’s houses and this property did not disappoint. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the home, the property was perfectly maintained, the air conditioning worked correctly throughout, and Miguel was a fantastic property manager. I highly recommend Casa Carolina Del Mar.

Outstanding visit with a perfect family house for our crew of 10 including a baby, toddler and 8 adults!. It was baby proofed and had a lot of baby gear, a very well equipped kitchen, fabulous access to the beach, very clean and sound proof! Miguel the house manager helped me prepare for the visit and was unbelievably fabulous once we got there! He assisted with superb activities, dinner reservations, staffing for chefs, extras days of cleaning and babysitting and logistics throughout our stay! A true vacation in paradise. All 10 of us recommend the house and Miguel and look forward to our next visit to CR!

The best stay in the best town!

We had the best stay at Carolina del Mar! Miguel was so accommodating and helpful during our week stay. The house was beautiful and comfortable for the 5 couples we had. It is in the perfect location w/ the proximity to Tamarindo and being right on the beach. We will definitely be back as we had so much fun!

Lovely Home on Langosta

The home was beautiful, and clean. The property manager, Miguel was very responsive any time of day. He was always courteous and arranged for a private chef and daily maid service. The beach has something for everyone, lots of tide pools and a few sandy places for swmg. Tamarindo and surfing is just a short elk away through the community gate. A great vacation!

Tropical Oasis

We loved this property so much! We were 3 generations, with 2 children ages 7 and 2. The bedroom set up with private bathrooms was perfect, and the beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and, for a reasonable fee, we enjoyed a full breakfast each day from Ingrid, and 2 delicious dinners by Chef Richard. We also enjoyed meals out at Green Papaya, El Pelicano, Ocean, and Sharkys Bar to watch a college football game. Miguel was excellent at coordinating our meals, transportation, and excursions. We enjoyed the estuary boat tour with Moises, zip lining, and the monkey Park animal rehab center. We also loved having the pool and beach within steps of the house. Someone came every day to clean the pool and do the landscaping and it was beautiful! One word of advice - bring a lot of cash. Almost everything, including some restaurants, is done in cash - US dollars preferred. We are hoping to return to Carolina Del Mar in the near future!

Perfect Getaway for a 40th Birthday in Paradise!

I found this fabulous house knowing nothing about costa rica and planned our groups entire trip around it, which was risky, but it didn't disappoint. Our group had a variety of desires from zip lining, catamaran, surfing, massages, all day adventures, private chefs, etc, and they really made our dreams come true. The house, if possible, is even more fabulous in person. The private beach off the house is rocky, but fabulous for sunsets and the public beach a couple doors down is great for activities. My group had a fabulous time!

What an amazing place! Right in the best part of Tamarindo. Close to beach, shopping, food, gym.

A magical house

We had the most amazing time staying at Casa Carolina Del Mar. The setting of the house is magical, with the endless sound of the ocean and stunning nightly sunsets - we were so sad to leave. The house itself was comfortable and homely with lovely art produced by the very talented owner - it is perfect for a family like ours with three young kids but could easily cater for a larger group. The direct beach access was a real treat - we will miss the sound of the crashing waves and the nightly visits from the friendly raccoons. We stayed in the house for a month and it passed in a flash but the happy memories will stay with us always.

Dream house on the beach!

The house is gorgeous and location is amazing! Andrea, the concierge was unbelievable! she helped make our trip one of the best vacations we have taken. Rent golf carts.. so fun!! We had Chef Frank come cook for us which was amazing. The house itself.. perfection!!!. Decor, style and the feel of indoor outdoor living you can’t beat. And the sunsets.. wow!!! We will be back next year for sure! Pura Vida!

The property is so nice......we arrived to the home after it was dark and Andrea met us at the home and was sweet enough to get us some groceries from the market. Andrea toured the house with us and had the handyman come to the house to look at the two minor issues that we had. This was our first trip to Costa Rica and we felt to comfortable at the home and the City of Tamarindo that we did not want to leave after our 6 days was up. The weather during our stay over Thanksgiving was absolutely perfect. We could not have asked for a better experience. The trip to the Liberia airport and all our our Costa Rica adventures were arranged by Andrea and everyone was so kind and wanted to make our experience perfect. I would recommend getting a golf cart for the trips into town.
