A stunning downtown Chico charmer just a block from Bidwell Park. No expense has been spared to keep all the charm of this iconic downtown home that was built in 1912. Bidwell Bijou’s full renovation was completed a few years ago.
Feel like cooking? This home features a gourmet kitchen with commercial range including a pot filler, an under counter wine cooler, and quartz counters. One of the bathrooms has a bidet.

This house has an amazing location. Walk one block to Bidwell Park and Caper Acres or step out to the Farmer's Markets and Downtown restaurants. This immaculate house will impress you and make your Chico visit memorable as you relax in style. Enjoy the yard and quality furnishings. Coffee, tea, water and snacks are provided in your welcome basket. Sit on the porch with your favorite drink.

Our stay was over Christmas Annie decorated and made the house feel warm and cozy. Having a wonderful kitchen, we enjoyed making Christmas cookies with our family. The location is perfect between waking in the park and into downtown. We look forward to enjoying the backyard next time we stay in the summer Thank you for everything

We always live staying in this beautiful cottage. We've stayed here several times and it honestly almost feels like a 2nd home at this point. It has everything thing you need to enjoy a nice visit to Chici, and is within walking distance to just about everything. We will definitley stay again in the future!

Our favorite rental in Chico!!

Perfect older home, in the best location of Chico. The owner has kept up on maintenance and cleanliness, and the place is stocked with plenty of supplies, dishes, cooking items. We appreciate how much the owner must love this home. It definitely shows! Bidwell Park was a block away, and we walked through it every morning. Only 3 blocks in the opposite direction, is beautiful downtown Chico, with all the restaurants, pubs, and shops you need. We’re originally from Paradise, and survivors of the CampFire. We have been searching for a place to come back to every time we return to the area. After renting several over the last 6 years, we think this house is the one!! Thank you!!!

Downtown Chico

The home layout can easily handle six comfortably, the jack and Jill bathrooms work great. The large kitchen is great with plenty of utensils for cooking. The dining table is small but since it was just two of us no issue. Nice back deck and front porch.

Winter Interlude

We enjoyed a delightful stay in the Bidwell Bijou in January. It was a welcome “winter interlude” for us with sunshine and temps in the 60s. We enjoyed wonderful walks in lower and upper Bidwell Park, the farmer’s market, the Museum of Northern CA artists — all within walking distance of this beautifully appointed and comfortable property. We’ll be back soon!

A little slice of heaven

My husband and I both went to Chico and decided to celebrate our wedding anniversary there (along with our 3 yr old and 8 month old). The house is adorable, surprisingly big! And the yard (which isn't pictured) is great as well. Perfect location walking distance to everything. Only suggestion is to set up one of the bedrooms with a King bed! We can't wait to go back and visit.

Great spot in Chico, near DT and campus

We were in Chico for a wedding and were lucky to find this gem. Darling house walkable to downtown - interior was well appointed, beds comfy and nice big kitchen. Was a much better alternative than a hotel as we had space to hang out, highly recommend!

Emma is coming home

We were in Chico to pack up my daughter and loved how close the house is to the CSUChico. Very spacious with an outdoor seating area in the back. Annie was there cleaning leaves that had fallen to make sure we could enjoy the back yard which we did with a glass of wine. Very responsive to a few questions we had. Loved the little extras like the snacks and the ice cream coupons. We have three years left to visit the area and will definately stay again.

Craftsman bungalow with good bones

Bidwell Bijou is a beautiful craftsman house remodeled for the modern day. Furnishings are good if a bit spare. Location is fantastic. Those who wish to cook in the “gourmet” kitchen will find it under supplied, but if all you need is a microwave and a coffeemaker, this is a great place. Everything was exceptionally clean, and beds were comfortable.

This house is exaclty as advertised in a really nice part of Chico, a block from Bidwell park and centrally located. The house was super clean and has a cute back patio not pictured in the listing. Definitely going to stay here again!

Chico Adventure

Excellent location for birding, shopping, and dining. The home is clean and spacious. The host is also excellent to work with! We enjoyed our stay, and will be back.

Annie and Darrin, your hosts, love sharing this unique property with guests who have discriminating taste and a desire to be close to the park and downtown, our two favorite places in Chico. Our perfect day is a walk to the Farmer's Market to get flowers and produce and a walk or picnic in the park.
Annie has been an ESL teacher for many years and an entrepreneur. Darrin is a CPA. When we have free time we love traveling in our RV, visiting our short term rentals, and walking our Black Lab.

This house is very unique because it is over 100 years old but has been lovingly remodeled with lovely fixtures. It is just gorgeous. We fell in love with Bidwell Bijou when we first saw her and imagined many guests appreciating a visit to this house when they come to Chico. We dreamed of living in this house in the future when we retire.
