This private bungalow is set on 1.3 acres of lush oak and fruit trees in the heart of Montecito. The property is completely secure with a gate at the entrance and fence around the property. The gate is shared with the main house, however, there is a private driveway and bridge that leads to the guest bungalow. The guest cottage has a fully renovated kitchen, washer, and dryer, private deck with outdoor furniture and BBQ. King size Aireloom mattress and queen size American Leather pullout sofa. Enjoy a private deck with high end outdoor furniture and BBQ. Walking distance to LotusLand, and under 5 min drive to Butterfly and Miramar Beaches.
**There are two older dogs that roam the property freely, they are friendly but if you are not comfortable with dogs, this is not the rental for you.

Best stay in Montecito!

The property and rental was absolutely gorgeous! The host was very accommodating and provided all essentials in the rental. I will definitely be staying here again for the ambiance and location. Also, Burke and Harley were a delight and the bestest boys.

The Cozy Casita

A great base camp for a visit to Santa Barbara and surrounding areas. Comfy bed, kitchen if need be and a big bathroom with a great shower. Everything you’d like to see and places to eat are a 10-15 minute drive away. Owner is super responsive if you’ve got a question — thanks!!

Perfect retreat

Perfect hidden retreat for a long weekend. Beautifully appointed and tucked into the trees. The entire stay felt like the best kept secret. Great bed, bathroom and kitchen with a wonderful deck. Never heard the road with the fountain bubbling in the background. Would definitely stay again.

Wonderful Home

My wife and I came here for a second time and absolutely adore it. It's in a great area, beautiful property and the unit itself has everything you could possibly ask for. A comfortable bed and morning wakeups with the son streaming through the gorgeous skylight. A truly delightful experience all around!

My best friend and I had a perfect Montecito weekend and this home had a lot to do with it. Clean, quiet, thoughtful, comfortable and cozy. They’ve thought of everything and more. The entire time we just kept repeating how much we loved this place. I could go on and on but just stay here!

This property was even nicer than we imagined. The casita was clean, nicely decorated, kitchen had what we needed. The casita is very private considering it’s on a homeowners property. The host responded quickly to my inquiry. If you love nature this is the place. Overall, we couldn’t be happier. We will definitely return for another stay Thank you!

Peaceful Spot

This guest house is just as described. It's quite lovely with beautiful light in the house and windows which look out onto a forested quiet area. Although I went in the winter, I think the deck would be a perfect spot to read and relax in the nicer months. The interior is modern, clean and updated.

Private and peaceful

This lovely casita has it all. A short walk through the fruit trees brings you to this private scenic secluded hideaway. It's a large studio with full kitchen, laundry, TV, music, large bathroom. Everything we could want and very nicely done. Just a 5 minute drive from the many great restaurants in Montecito.

A quiet oasis

My husband and I stayed here during a long weekend visit to Santa Barbara. It was a beautiful location and dwelling. It’s a bungalow set apart from the main house by trees and a creek, so it feels quite private. There was a bit of road noise (and frogs by the creek! What a delight!), but my white noise machine drowned it out. The bungalow was clean, pretty, elegant and functional. The deck and yard outside were lovely. We would absolutely stay here again.

Home Away From Home

Surrounded by fruit trees, the casita is nestled into the forest. It is literally over the river and through the woods, but this is not your grandmother’s house. It is perfectly remodeled & decorated, with all the comforts of home away from home. The house is not large, but it had all the space we could have needed, even when converting the sofa full time to our child’s bed. The host was very responsive when needed something; we appreciated the attention. The 2 dogs on the property would come over for pets most days, they were very sweet. The location was great for us, a short drive up the hill away from the busyness of Santa Barbara or Montecito. It was the perfect extended stay for my family. We hope to return!

Beautiful mountain retreat

This is a beautiful and private hillside bungalow perfect for a quiet retreat. I wish I had time to extend my stay. I booked this on a whim while visiting Santa Barbara for work. Communication with the host was exceptional via VRBO and text. This is a new listing and did not have any reviews. The cottage is situated on a hillside surrounded by trees and vegetation. The bit of road noise is balanced by the lovely water feature just off the front deck. The host has two lovely dogs who quietly roam the property. They are very gentle and polite dogs. Like many Santa Barbara areas, parking is a bit snug but this rental is well worth exercising your parking skills. This would be a lovely couples getaway, the space is beautifully designed with a fantastic blend of textures.

One Room Cabin in the Oak Trees

I was very disappointed in this place and the description is not accurate! First, the listing states that it is situated on 1.3 acres-- which sounds wonderful. But when I received instructions, there was a circle drawn around the cabin indicating guests were only to be in that area and under no circumstances near the main house. This is a one room cabin, the bed, kitchen and living room are all together. The deck was filthy and I was told by the owner that the oak tree just sheds leaves constantly. But the leaves are green this time of year and there are piles of debris on the roof that blow onto the deck furniture and the deck itself, making it unusable. The owner offered a refund if I left but it was not possible to book another place in such a short time frame. I don't even know if the refund offer was sincere, but I gave an extra star because of it.

Sweet quiet retreat

This was one the best places we’ve stayed—a private standalone cottage tucked into a fruit grove on a beautiful property with friendly owners. Quiet, serene, yet super accessible to everything we wanted to visit in Santa Barbara.
