  • Great location!

"This was perfect for my family! This was our first visit to SPI and we will definitely be back. We enjoyed Schlitterbahn and the close proximity to the beach (2-3 minute walk) and the bayside pier. Made for a great weekend getaway! Thank you!"

  • Great stay

"Great stay. Perfect view overlooking Schlitterbahn Waterpark. Huge pool too for the complex complete with bouncers. Great idea for the shopping carts to use to lug all our stuff up and down to our rooms with. Loved the gulf breezes thru the hallways at all times. Is nice the checkin counter is open 24/7 bc we got there at 3am. Not so nice that it is about a mile away from the condo tho. They did forget to give us our pool bracelets to get in tho and that was kind of a hassle bc we had to go all way back to our room and one of us had to drive half way down the island to go to the checkin counter to get the bracelets. Whoever does the cleaning needs to be a little more observant tho bc we found a real cucumber in one of the wall decorations above the couch. It was just sticking out. Not sure what that was about and not sure I want to even know. I am sure it was left by the last tenants as we left it also. No one wants to touch it. lol Overall I would recommend the stay. It is NOT ON the beach nor does it have a straight on view to the beach. Is more overlooking the waterpark on one side and the parking lot on the other side with the ocean view barely visable in the background. It would also help too if the entrances were marked with signs. We had a difficult time finding the right addresses. We did enjoy our stay and would come back. If going out to the jetti, sometimes the park gets full and we had to park right outside the gates and had to walk, with a 3 year old, at least a half mile just to get to the jetti. Then the jetti is a petty long walk itself on large rocks. Very young and very old will have hard time walking on it. WE had to carry our 3 year old most of the way. It is a great place to watch for Dolphins. Be sure to see the Sea Turtle place. Great place to learn and see the turtles swim. We ate a lot of McDonalds simply bc we had my 3 year old granddaughter, but the two places we did eat out was pretty pricey. Pier 19, I had sampler plate of seafood, my daughter had cheeseburger and fries, the baby had mac n cheese and fries, and we had two pina colados and kept the glasses all for $80. Same kind of deal at Backyard Louie's. But all the food was great. The sand getting to the beach can get pretty hot so we took water shoes. Be careful of the jellyfish too. We did not get stung but did see people that did. Thank you SPI We will be back. Love this place."
