This charming lakeview house is located in Soda Springs just 10 miles before Truckee. Lake access is a hop across the street with no barriors! A green belt sits between the lake and our home. With amazing deckviews of Serene Lakes as well as the Sierra Nevada, you can relax and breathe fresh mountain air on our large deck that can easily fit your entire group. If you are coming from the Bay Area, it is a fabulous location as it is less of a drive and minus the noise and traffic of Lake Tahoe. This very friendly family orientated community is perfect for family retreats or just getting together with good friends. With plenty to do in both summer and winter, outdoor enthusiasts will love it here!
Just behind the house is North America's largest crosscountry ski resort, Royal Gorge. Fantastic sleding is conveniently available along the side of our property. Multiple downhill ski resorts are just minutes away! From Sugar Bowl, Donner Ski Resort, Soda Springs Ski Resort to Boreal. Northstar and Squaw Valley USA are just a little further! In addition, we have crosscountry skis and boots available for your use as well as sleds for closer to home activities.
Summertime is just as spectacular with activities such as bike riding (bikes available at the house), strolls around the lake (2 miles), swimming, fishing, laying out on the beach (sand toys and umbrella available), canoeing (yours to use and parked conveniently on the lake shore), dining at Ice Lakes Lodge (just minutes walking distance), BBQing on the deck and much more!

We love this area because it is just like the name of the lake...Serene. It's beautiful, quiet and relaxing. There isn't any traffic and crowds. Just locals who are always friendly.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin
We run and bike around the lake as well as sled, canoe, swim and crosscountry ski. Also, we hike on some of the trails or just relax with friends and family.
