This very elegant 1 bedroom apartment has been renovated in January 2007 and is brand new. It is 37 square meters in size and located on the fourth floor (no elevator) of a nice ancient building. All amenities and appliances are brand new. Charming, safe, convenient. Located in the best area of le Marais and within 3 minutes walk to the river and Ile St Louis. This apartment offers great comfort and is in a superb area.
The apartment is very quiet (quiet street + double windows) and has great typical Paris roof' views. It is less than a minute walk to food and grocery shopping, as well as restaurants and stores. If you are thinking of cooking your own food you will have everything nearby and the kitchen is elegantly equipped with all you need to do it. Large Oven, stove, cooking utensils.
The apartment capacity is 4 guests, 2 in the living room queen sofa, 2 in the bedroom's king bed. The kitchen is independent from the living room and the bathroom has a sink and a bath with wall mounted unit to serve as a shower. This apartment is beautiful, clean, comfortable, and in a great location! My husband and I walked everywhere we went, and enjoyed the accessibility of pastries, groceries, and restaurants. The apartment had a fully stocked kitchen for cooking, making coffee, etc. The apartment includes some plug adapters, which was a nuce touch. The laundry machine worked well, but there is no dryer. There is a drying rack provided. Pascal was easy to work with for booking and questions, and even accepted our payment in US dollars so we didn't have to worry about obtaining all of the euros immediately upon arrival in Paris. Our only complaint were the occasionally noisy neighbors above us, but overall the apartment is as clean and quiet as advertised!Recommended for: Age 55+, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, girls getaway, sightseeing.

This apartment was perfect for our stay in Paris: it's in a terrific location on a quiet street, is very central to the main sights, is clean and very well equipped. We were impressed from the start when Renata met us and was so thorough in ensuring that we had all we needed, even to checking that the wi-fi connection was fully operational for both of our devices. We are lucky enough to visit Paris regularly and would definitely return to this apartment again. The owners have made every effort in providing all those little essentials that make a self-catering holiday so much easier (umbrella, extra socket converters, books and DVDs) and there is great food shopping quite literally on the doorstep. I would agree with previous comments that the number of stairs to access the apartment (though not a problem for us), may concern those with limited mobility or very small children. Thanks to Pascal too for his prompt attention during the booking and follow up. The whole process was seamless was start to finish. I would certainly recommend this apartment and would like to return!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

This was our second stay in this wonderful apartment having stayed there in June 2010 for one week. This stay was for two weeks and although it was nearly winter this time there is still so much to see and do in Paris that the weather isn't really a problem. This apartment is very comfortable, clean, well maintained and has everything you would need. The location is superb and only about 150 metres from the metro and within walking distance of most attractions including Eiffel Tower, Louvre, Notre Dame, Seine and Arc de Triomphe. The owner has left a comprehensive guide to how everything in the apartment works and if there are any problems then the manager Pascal is only a phone call away. This time we ventured further by metro and RER to Chateau Vincennes and Palace of Versailles which are well worth visiting. We also visited the antique markets in Clignancourt and took canal ride on St Martin Canal. We were originally recommended this apartment by friends who had stayed here for a month and have since recommended this apartment to other friends. There are so many wonderful restaurants nearby that it is difficult to recommend one over another but my favorite partisserie was on the corner of Rue St Paul and Rue de Rivoli as I loved their cornbread baguettes.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

I had a lovely ten days staying in this apartment. Setting up the rental with Pascal was easy, and he responded quickly to my questions. Renata was at the apartment at the scheduled time to give me a briefing on the amenities and the neighborhood. (I also found the Wards' notebook very helpful.) I never imagined a place could look exactly like the photos on VRBO, but this one does! I loved that it's not overly furnished for its size. You'll find everything you need in a relatively uncluttered space. Not sure I would want to share the place with three other adults, but certainly a family of four would do fine. I'd say it's absolutely perfect for a couple. I had an evening of complete exhaustion during my stay, and it was so nice to be able to pop in a DVD and relax on the sofa. And I was pleased that the Wifi is really solid. I was able to Skype with my husband back at home. As other reviewers mentioned, this place may not be appropriate for anyone with mobility issues--it's 75 steps to the fourth floor. And it's a narrow, winding staircase. When I first saw it I was grateful that I had brought my medium suitcase rather than the large one. The location is excellent. Easy access to the Metro, and I had some great walks around the Marais. Not sure I would stay in any other neighborhood. Really, you could spend a week within a one-mile radius of this apartment and have plenty to do, see, and eat. One of my favorite restaurants in the area was Le Bistrot des Comperes at 16 rue Charlemagne. Charming atmosphere and people, delicious food.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, tourists without a car, girls getaway, sightseeing.

My wife and I stayed a week at this marvelous apartment. It was close to everything. The Monoprix was a half block away and when we could tear ourselves from the patisserie on the corner, we had breakfast in the apartment before heading out on our adventures. Pascal and Renata were excellent and the apartment is as advertised! I will admit that the stairs were an adventure in themselves, but an angel showed up from the 3rd floor and helped us with our luggage! We loved our stay here. We had stayed on rue Cler on our last visit...another of Pascal's properties. The move in and stay were seamless.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

My son and daughter-in-law spent two weeks in Pascal's apartment and thoroughly enjoyed their stay. The apartment was equiped with everything they needed and was quite lovely. It was conveniently located to shops, restaurants and sightseeing being just a few blocks from the river in one direction and the Rue Rivoli in the other. They were greeted by Renata who oriented them to the neighborhood, the closest metro, shopping and the apartment amenities. Pascal also arranged for them to be met at the airport by driver who brought them to the apartment and supplied them with the same service at the end of their stay. I stayed at another apartment of Pascal's in May of last year. It was just a few blocks from the Rue Cler and the Eiffel Tower. It was equally as beautiful and convenient but in a different neighborhood. The service and charm that Pascal and his staff provide makes your stay in Paris a one of kind experience and is recommended by both myself and my family. I am looking forward to a return trip and a stay in one of Pascal's apartments in the near future.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Not only is the location PERFECT (quiet location in the Marais), but this tidy, effecient apartment was spotelessly clean and perfect for a family of four. While it is not large, it worked perfectly for us, and we cannot wait to return. With the St. Paul metro around the corner and the wonderful bakery on the corner, we felt as if we actually lived in Paris. We had concerns about the lack of air conditioning, but found the fans and ventilation to work perfectly. And, it was not noisy at night. The only recommendation we would offer is to pack light as the stairs are difficult to navigate with larger bags. Other than that, this is a true gem and an even bigger bargain.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

I stayed for a week in this apartment in the lovely Marais area earlier this month. The apartment is very comfortable and is exactly as depicted on the website. Booking and arrival arrangements made with Pascal were hassle free. Renata was there to meet me on arrival and explained how everything worked and pointed out the very useful Monoprix supermarket the end of the street facing the apartment. I had hers and Pascal's phone number but they were never needed. The area is great with all types of food shops - patisseries, bars, delicatessens, wine shops within minutes of the apartment - as well as restaurants and cafes. I walked everywhere but public transport is easily reached from the apartment. The windows onto the interesting Rue St Paul made it easy to people watch during inclement weather or if I decided to have a lazy morning. A Museum which I really enjoyed was the Cognacq Jay which is only a few blocks away. One thing to take into account is the 70+ spiral steps to the apartment door but they are not steep and there are many landings to catch your breath if necessary. I would to return especially now that I am back in cold Canberra and have no hesitation in recommending this apartment.Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, girls getaway, sightseeing.

My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely apartment. We were quite comfortable in both the apartment and location. The owner/mamager was most responsive as were all of the previous guests that we contacted prior to our arrival. I would not hesitate to recommend this apartment to anyone seeking to "live" in Paris while on vacation. From this location we could walk almost anywhere. I am sure I walked from the Louvre to the apartment (quite long) and Notre Dame is just a short walk from the residence. We did not eat out often rather enjoyed purchasing our own food and cooking a bit. The one surprise in the apt. was the storage for clothes etc. in drawers under the bed. We did not find this until we left and there is very little floor space for suitcase living. A very special highlight was the live classical piano being practiced daily by someone in a neighboring apt. Each day I could open the windows and enjoy beautiful music while relaxing in our (temporary) Paris home.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, girls getaway, sightseeing.
