My husband and I first visited Akumal in 1999 and fell in love with the area, the people and the natural beauty. It became a dream to own a condo in Akumal and for the next several years, we researched and saved until our dream finally came true!
Many friends and family members have visited over the years. They all agree that Akumal is very special. Just the perfect combination of tropical relaxation with services nearby and welcoming, warm people. It is so true, one visit to Akumal and you will want to return again and again!
Why the Owner Chose Akumal
The beaches and natural lagoons of the Riviera Maya are spectactularly beautiful, but Half Moon Bay in Akumal has the best of all worlds! A sandy white beach with incredible underwater life that can be viewed right from our terrace! A daily swim or snorkel in Half Moon Bay is a must for us, and the awesome Yalku Lagoon is a short walk up the road. The sandy beach of Akumal Bay is a short walk in the southern direction.

We spent spring break with our grade school aged kids at your condo in 2010. It was our BEST TRIP ever, and even tops our trip this year to Kauai. The snorkeling was great. I swam with a spotted eagle ray just meters in front of the condo. The hammock and meals on the balcony with the water right there was fabulous. Waking to the sound of the waves really spoiled us. The kids still talk about going to La Buena Vida with their hammocks. We of course loved the many margaritas, just a short walk down the beach. We even watched rays from the tree houses at the restaurant. We will come back!

…we LOVED your place!! We had such a great time - saw about 20 sea turtles in Akumal Bay, had great weather and ate lots and lots of fish tacos. The condo was perfect -- what a view!! We loved the whole set-up. Thanks again for everything - your tips certainly came in handy as well! We'll definitely be in touch as soon as the opportunity to get back down there arises... Sherry, We just returned home from 10 magical days in Akumal. We enjoyed it more than anyplace we've ever traveled. We LOVED your condo and all of the personal touches.
