We had a wonderful time on our stay at the cottage in Golden. We were driving in from Iowa and the owners were kind enough to let us check-in early. The ceiling fans and windows provided a wonderful breeze (even when the temps hit 90+), and we really enjoyed the view from the front patio of the mountains and Golden lights. The cottage was very comfortable and had an excellent location. We spent our days hiking at places nearby like Mount Galbraith and the Golden Gate Canyon State Park, and we spent our nights enjoying dinner and drinks at the restaurants in Downtown Golden and in Denver. The best part for us was that we got to take our dogs! The fenced-in backyard was great for them. If we come back to the Golden/Denver area in the near future, we'll be staying here!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, pet owners, adventure seekers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Recent upgrades to the property include the installation of air conditioning, new windows and a covered front-entry area.

Our family spent a whole month here last summer and we had a blast in Golden! The cottage is well-contained and walking distance from downtown. Make sure to bring a fan as there is no airconditioning! The mountain nights are cool though and the days are usually breezy. Nice quiet neighborhood that is conducive to long walks. We went hiking, exploring, riverrafting, visited the local museums, went to Coors field for ballgames, toured the Coors factory, swimming in the mountain streams/creeks, etc. so much to do in the Denver metro area! This was the perfect vacation headquarters! Nofrills and homey...you will love it as we did!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Recent upgrades to the property include the installation of air conditioning, new windows and a covered front-entry area.

I spent a week at this nice little cottage in Golden in July. Simple, quiet, affordable property. It had everything the two of us needed while visiting my daughter. Beds were comfy, cable TV, ceiling fans, kitchen well equipped, and a nice view from the bench out front. Small fenced in backyard with BBQ grill. Golden is a wonderful little town and the house is within walking distance of the main shopping area. Playground and bike/running paths just up from the cottage too. We swam in the creek, walked everywhere, drove to Vail for lunch, toured the Coors Brewery and visited Buffalo Bill's gravesite and Red Rocks. The owners responded to my email and phone call immediately. The perfect choice for us!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, girls getaway, sightseeing.
