  Our Apple Dumpling Vacation was everything we had hoped for and more. Everything we needed was there, clean and ready for us to use after a long day of travel. The cabin was beautifully decorated. We turned on the heat the first night because the temperatures dropped into low 40's. The beds were very comfortable, and my granddaughter loved the loft. The quiet country atmosphere was so restful, and yet we were only a few minutes from town. We enjoyed the shopping in town and visited lots of attractions including the Titanic, Wonder Works, the Aquarium, the Apple Barn, to name a few. The kids were a little disappointed because they didn't get to see a bear, but they did see some wild pigs cross the road on an evening drive. We really enjoyed the hot tub and the grill on the deck. Our only regret about the trip was that it was not long enough! Our family, ages 18 - 65, all loved the Apple Dumpling cabin and would love to visit again. We certainly will tell family and friends about our wonderful accomodations!

  This is a very beautiful cabin. Very clean and very cozy. Loved that the bedrooms were on the main floor. Best stocked kitchen of any cabin we have ever rented (and we have rented many). Anything we needed in the kitchen was there. A little bit more remote than expected, but nice and quiet after a busy day of shopping. The only problem we had was the water issue. There was a very strong smell of bleach. So strong that we could taste it even in the coffee we made. We were told in advance that there was a water shortage which was not an issue for us. But the strong smell and taste of bleach would be a deal breaker for any future stays. I am sure this is a temporary thing. Owners are very nice to work with.

As we told you prior to your arrival, for unknown reasons our well capacity declined in Oct/Nov, resulting in a couple of guests running short of water. When this happened, the chlorinator pumped chlorine into the mixing tank while the well was unable to add water to the tank, resulting in over-chlorinated water throughout the cabin. We have contracted to dig our well 100' deeper in early January and our water should be plentiful and tasty again after that is done. Dennis & Bonnye

  My family and I stayed at this cabin as part of our annual trip and it was very special to us because it was our first trip with our 10 month old son who has HLHS and has had two major heart surgeries. When we walked in it was cozy just like being at home. It was close to Pigeon Forge and grocery stores and the cabin had all the necessary accessories of the comfort of home. I would highly recommend this cabin to all my friends and family and we plan on staying there during our next trip out.

  My family just got back from a quick visit to Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg. This was our first time renting a cabin, and the Apple Dumpling spoiled us. The owners send you a very detailed set of directions. We would recommend taking the route through Pigeon Forge so you can get the lay of the land, especially if this is your first trip to the area. This cabin is neat as a pin (would love the cleaning team to come to our house), ample toiletries/sundries for everyone in our party, and the cabin felt so homey and cozy. What you see in the photos are what you get, a well-kept cabin with plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen is stocked with plenty of dishes, glasses/cups, pots and pans. We even used some of the plastic containers for our picnic lunches at the park. There is a nice, small deli/market that is a quick five minute drive. If you even drive 10 minutes farther, you can choose from large grocery stores, Kroger and Food City. This cabin is a dream for anyone who has physical limitations since there are only 2-3 steps from driveway to porch (unlike many other cabins that are posted). It is very quiet and peaceful here. Also, it is nice for families with little ones that the porch has a gate so the children can wander safely outside on the porch. We hope we have the opportunity to stay here again.

  We just returned from an excellent "Smokey Mountain Vacation". We loved the Apple Dumpling...it was exactly as pictured and there was no disappointments! It was roomy and very comfortable for our family. We had very busy days and at the end of the day it was nice to have a "home" to come back to. The location was great, we were somewhat secluded but really only about 10 minutes from most attractions. There is so much to do that we really wished we had more time. So we are planning a return visit and will come back the Apple Dumpling. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful cabin with us. Thank you and God Bless!

  Needless to say, The Apple Dumpling Cabin exceeded every expectation we had. Without a doubt, we had the best vacation in years! We went whitewater rafting, zip lining, hiking, shopping and horseback riding, so you can imagine how exhausted we were at the end of each day... the hot tub came in handy. Thank you, Dennis and Bonnye for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home. The accommodations were extraordinary... This cabin stands out among the rest for many reasons... location (close to everything, but far enough away and NO MOUNTAIN CLIMB!!!), linens provided (even shampoo and body wash), GAS grill (a huge plus in my book), very comfortable beds, fully serviceable kitchen, plenty of patio furniture (even an huge umbrella) everything was great! Next time we will definitely bring our dogs as they would have had plenty of space to move around.   Thank you so much Dennis and Bonnye for sharing your cabin with us. It was absolutely beautiful. Thay have thought of everything. It was secluded away from the downtown area, but yet only a 10 minute drive. We just loved it!

  We had a great family vacation at Apple Dumpling! Everything was exactly as described, plus some. Our family of 5 was very comfortable! We had myself, my husband, and 3 children (11, 9, and our daughter turned 5 while we were there. There were plenty of kitchen supplies, some hiking bags that we didn't think to bring, and even tupperware containers to pack snacks! We liked that the location was secluded, but not too far from the city and that the drive was relatively easy and not mountainous. We made lots of memories and enjoyed playing with all of the games you had available. Thanks for sharing your home with our family.

  Our vacation centered around watching our 2-year-old have a blast at Dollywood and the Aquarium. Grandma, Babysitter, and a close family friend joined us at the cabin for a fantastic two night stay. We grilled steaks and relaxed in the hot tub on our first evening, enjoyed provided board games, and simply relaxed in peace for the rest of the time. Our only regret was that we didn't stay longer! The cabin was easy to find, close to town, yet very private and quite. Martha Stewart could've gone through that cabin with a white glove, it was so clean. We didn't want for anything, especially in the kitchen! Seems the owners have thought of every detail! We had a great visit, and would highly recommend this property to others. We would love to return ourselves.

  Our stay was delightful! This cabin will not dissapoint. We loved the privacy and the cabin felt just like home. You don't need to bring anything everything was provided. We had 6 people and 2 small dogs and we never felt cramped. The big screen tv was great for family movies, pool table was awesome, hot tub was just right, and the setting was amazing! The owners were great to work with and even called to check on us to ensure we didn't need anything. Thank you for allowing us to stay and we look forward to visiting next year! Don't miss out on this cabin it is so much nicer than staying at those resort cabins that are right on top of each other the only noise we heard were birds,our 4 boys, and 2 yappy dogs:) Apple decor was so charming and the leather reclining sofas were great!
