Good times at Majestic Palms

Our party of 9 just spent a memorable week at Majestic Palms. The back yard and pool/hot tub is definately the highlight here. It's private and big. The master bedroom is also huge. The other bedrooms are ok, but nothing special. The second "master" is pretty good, but has a very small shower/bathroom. I wouldn't want to come here with more than 8 people, though, as the other two bedrooms are quite small. We squeezed three of our kids into one of the bedrooms and we just got by with that. The location - near downtown Palm Springs - is great. If you're going here for shopping, tram, downtown dining, etc. this can't be beat. If you plan on golfing on the better golf courses in La Quinta, Indian Wells, etc. count on a long (an hour, or so) drive to get there. The kitchen in this house is just ok. People who love great kitchens with brigtness, counter space, good knives, first-rate appliances, etc. will be dissapointed. I cook a fair amount and I found the kitchen somewhat awkward to work in. It's dated and doesn't have much cupboard space for food, etc. And it's dark and small! Two more of my pet peeves! All in all, however, the house did very well for us and we enjoyed our time there. The owner was absolutely excellent to deal with and we were very happy with the communication, etc. that he provided. We looked after this house like it was ours and he appreciated that and returned our full deposit as soon as we returned. He also promptly looked after a facet problem in the kitchen. It's quite possible we'd come here again.

Palm Desert Near-Perfection

This house met our every expectation—nearly. The backyard, tastefully filled with palm trees and grass, is huge with a great pool, which was very clean and well-kept. We spent a lot of time on the back patio and at the grill—perfect for cooking for big groups. The house itself, also clean, is spacious with fun 70s-themed decor, plus a great kitchen and dining room. Two complaints: Another bathroom would have been nice, and we discovered some fire ants at the far end of the grass in the backyard. A few of us got bites on our feet, but it's a problem the owner would easily be able to solve—and it really wasn't that big of a deal, but definitely something to look out for. All in all, a wonderful experience. You are sure to join your stay here.

Birthday weekend

Some friends and I decided to rent a house for my 30th birthday (vs everyone checking into a hotel) and I could not have been happier with our decision to rent this property. The house is AMAZING!!! The pool area is perfect - lounge chairs, bbq, outdoor table and the best part - the pool and jacuzzi. The house layout is spread out so everyone had plenty of room to either hang out in their rooms, in the living room, kitchen or backyard. The house is perfect stocked with everything you could possibly need. The location is also ideal...it's around the corner from a great shopping center with a market and few other good places - not to mention all the restaurants. And to make this entire experience even easier and more enjoyable was the owner Kevin, who was very welcoming and made the renting transaction beyond easy. So needless to say, YES - we will be renting this house again - in fact, we all talked about making it an annual trip :)

amazing girls get away weekend

We spent a girls get away weekend at Majestic Palms and had such an amazing time! There were 8 of us and we had plenty of space and plenty of pool towels! Loved it because we practically spent the whole time at the pool. Plenty of lounges and rafts to relax and suntan with a cool breeze blowing through the backyard that really made it an ideal environment. Kevin was so wonderful and easy to book with and even let us stay late on the last day so we could maximize our stay :) Such a wonderful weekend that we are already planning to come back again next year!

Great Family Vacation

My family wanted to go on vacation together but not deal with hotels / restaurants. We decided to rent a house so we could just relax. It was perfect for us. There were plenty of bedrooms. We had enough space so we could spread out and not feel confined to any one area. We spent all day in the pool. It was hard to keep the kids from getting in it right after breakfast. We used the Bar-b-que every night. But ate inside around the big table. I loved the two living room areas. The adults had a place to sit and talk and the kids had their own area to play. And it was easy to look over and keep an eye on the kids. Our goal was to get away from everything and spend quality time together. And we certainly did. The house itself was in good condition and very clean when we arrived. The refrigerator could be updated but it's sufficient for a few days stay. Kevin was very helpful to us. He answered all my questions. This is a wonderful house and I would recommend it to anyone.

"Wonderful time at Majestic Palms" Majestic Palms - Took the whole fam damily to stay at Kevin Jobe's "Majestic Palms" house in Palm Springs over Thanksgiving, and were totally thrilled with the layout, the convenient location, the design and decor and the landscaping. Everything was wonderful and we would recommend "Majestic Palms" to anyone contemplating a stay in Palm Springs. By the way, the group ranged in age from 4 to 65 and everyone was delighted with the accomodations. VTY

Five Starts***** A Relaxing Getaway Oasis Annually our family takes a vacation to Palm Springs. Out of all the places we have rented, this was the best!! The backyard is like a resort. The pool is a perfect size and it also has a Jacuzzi. The backyard is very spacious and it has lots of grass and palm trees so you can find shady areas to sit and relax outside instead of most other places which usually have a pool surrounded by a lot of hot concrete. The master suite is very spacious and comes equipped with a Jacuzzi tub and fireplace. The other bedrooms are nice and comfortable. The house is very spacious and has two nice size family rooms for game playing and entertaining. There is also a good size dining room to gather around for meals. Also, the owner Kevin was a pleasure to deal with. His communication was quick and he had a no problem attitude. Highly recommended!!

As a repeat guest at Majectic Palms, I can't sing its praises enough. We retreat to the desert for quiet, relaxation, and the company of good friends, all of which we've enjoyed in comfort here on multiple occasions. The owners have lavished their care and attention on this property and make every effort to guarantee an enjoyable stay. Tasteful, retro-inspired decor and all conceivable amenities (there's a glass for every type of drink, plenty of linens and beach towels, unlimited comfy seating inside and out...) make it an attractive destination, and I've never been disappointed yet. I highly recommend Majestic Palms to anybody seeking a lovely, centrally-located desert retreat. Get in line, though, it books out fast!

A private resort

We stayed at Majestic Palms from April 23 to April 30, 2011. When we arrived, everything was very clean and lovely - the living room is indeed "retro fabulous." We wandered from room to room, delighted at the space and comfort. We stayed in the master bedroom, which is fantastic - enormous, with a terrific en suite bathroom. If you need to get online (as I did everyday), there is an office with a PC and internet access, or you can easily access the wireless with your own device. We spent many hours by the pool, and in the evenings we would soak in the hot tub. We loved the palm trees and lemon trees in the spacious and private backyard. They are beautiful. At night when you are in the hot tub, you can look up at the stars, sip some wine, and really relax. That is why we were there, and it worked. We used the grill several times. The kitchen is just fine - it's not super high end in terms of equipment, but frankly we were not there to spend huge amounts of time cooking. (Btw, an Albertson's grocery store and a Walgreens are just around the corner.) I completely understand why they don't want visitors to bring glassware out to the patio. Palm Springs gets really windy at dusk, and other times too, and you wouldn't want broken glass. One other thing: when you relax in a chaise lounge at the far end of the pool, it is such a nice feature that that section of the patio is elevated, because you can look over the top of the house and gaze at the San Jacinto Mountain. It's beautiful! We love Palm Springs, and for a week we loved pretending this house was ours!

What a fantastic house! We were in town for the Cochella Music Festival and had a tough time leaving the house each day for the concert. There was more than enough room for us, everything we needed was there and the pool and backyard was just amazing. We definitely hope to stay at this wonderful house again in the future.
