Why the Owner Chose Savannah

Our family fell in love with Savannah when began to visit the charming city in the early 90s. The transformation of the town from that time to now has been astounding. It is so invigorating to walk the streets and soak in the history and architecture. It truly is a jewel of a city.

The Unique Benefits at this House

The 1822 Row House is a large, spacious house close to all downtown destinations. We like to think that it offers a unique mixture of an old historic house (1822) with tasteful, modern updates (1999 renovation).

Owner's Map of Savannah

We are a professional couple from Atlanta who decided to invest in a historic Savannah home to help in the city's preservation and also enjoy the joy of this wonderful, charming city.

Beautiful old home and good location in historic district! We all agreed that it was way too big for the four of us so we'll bring more people next time.

Owner response:Thanks for the review. Glad you had a good time in Savannah.

Family Reunion

Guest: M (Madison Wisconsin)
Date of Stay: 08/31/11 Review Submitted: 09/06/11

This was the perfect place for our family reunion! It looks exactly like the pictures that are on the website. It is in a great location, within walking distance to tons of things to do! The house was the perfect size for our family and plenty of room for everyone. Nice quiet neighborhood. Parking right across the street. Would definitely recommend it! The only downfall was there was no tv, but we survived :-)

Owner response:We are sorry about the TV problems from the faulty power strip and cable glitch. Those temporary problems were quickly resolved. Cable works fine now on both TVs.

This property is charming and steeped in history. It is a great place to have alot of people without tripping over one another due to its size and multiple levels. It's within walking distance to River Street and City Market and tons of restaurants are nearby. Anyone lucky enough to rent this place is in for a treat. Would definitely recommend it!

Great Girls Weekend Away

Guest: Jen (Jacksonville, FL)
Date of Stay: 08/13/10 Review Submitted: 09/02/10

I stayed here with 13 other girls for a friend's bachelorette weekend. We had a great time! The accomodations were spacious. It was surprising that 14 girls were able to get ready at the same time, but we made it work without a problem. It felt like we were back in college in a sorority house. It is also a great location and in easy walking distance to most attractions, especially City Market.

Owner response:Thanks for your review and for choosing our home for your stay.

This historic house had wonderful accommodations for our family during our stay. The house was exactly as listed and the owners answered my questions and provided great information on the house and the town. There was plenty of room for our family of 10 and everyone enjoyed the house, especially the kitchen area. I would highly recommend this house to anyone considering visiting Savannah, GA.

It is hard to find all the right words to describe our stay in Savannah last weekend. Your rental unit was absolutely fantastic, and all our family enjoyed the stay. You have done great with home furnishing and with household supplies. We also appreciated your recommendations on activities / dining. We enjoyed everyplace we went. Again, staying at your place made our trip something we will never forget. We will be recommending your place to our friends if they travel to Savannah. Thanks for everything!

Owner response:Thanks for your comments - glad your stay in Savannah went well.

Thanks to the owners for a most enjoyable experience. This property is located within walking distance from many of the main attractions. It was very clean and well-maintained. My favorite thing to do in Savannah is to walk in the historic district and this was perfect. This trip to Savannah, on the weekend of the Highland Games, was my Christmas gift to my children. Although a few could not attend (new baby), the ones who came had a wonderful time. In addition to attending the Highland Games, many went to the beach, walked to City Market, walked to Bay Street and River Street, and just enjoyed this enormous place we had to stay. We found that parking across at the Parking deck was the most convenient. You can buy a parking pass for 48 hours for $12 and park in many places in Savannah (including most of the parking meters). Some of the perks: The owners are very thoughtful concerning the amenities. Plenty of toilet paper, shampoo, etc, Toys in the TV room for the little ones. And a well-stocked kitchen (utensils, pots, pans, dishes) for cooking. My children cooked me breakfast on Mother's day. I love the kitchen!! Very family-friendly accomodations. My only negative--I was afraid of the railings on the decks. We have very small grandchildren and I was concerned with the spacing of the railings on the decks. We loved this place and would love to travel here again. Thanks to the owners --this is one of the best trips our family has ever had. Highly recommend this property!

Owner response:This review really highlights a lot of the great location information for this property. The railings on the deck are stable - with the deck being 40+ feet from the ground, on the roof of the house, standard precautions should be taken for children using the deck.

I stayed in this house for a Girls' Weekend. Everything was perfect! The house was even nicer than we expected and had plenty of room for the ten women who stayed. The location was ideal: it is easy to get to when driving into the city, and we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. Before I went, I talked to one of the owners (Kim) on the phone, and she couldn't have been more helpful. Before I booked the house, I emailed her multiple times asking questions, and she responded quickly each time. I very much enjoyed this house and hope to stay again when I go back to charming Savannah.

A great house!!!! We spent our Christmas here and enjoyed every moment. The house is enormous and gives you plenty of room for privacy or together time. Kitchen has everything you need. We prepared Christmas dinner and every breakfast there. The hosts are very accomodating and supply you with everything you need to visit the city including restaurant and touring information.
