  My husband, our 13 year old son, and I stayed at this apartment for 2 nights and we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay in Venice! The owner was extremely informative and helpful from the time we booked the apartment and throughout our stay. We've used VRBO for rentals throughout the US but this was the first time we used it when travelling abroad. One concern we initially had was having to be completely self-sufficient in a country where we don't speak the language and where we've never travelled to before. All of our concerns were quickly erased when Monica provided detailed instructions on finding the apartment and by offering someone to assist us while staying there. Her assistant, Madam Daniela, made us feel so extremely comfortable from the time she met up with us at the water boat terminal and with going above and beyond to assist us during our stay. She was amazing! The apartment was as nice as the pictures portray. The location was perfect for us since it was close to everything we wanted to see. The setting was so quaint, we really felt like we had a chance to experience the local life. With that said, you either need to be a local or have a great sense of direction though to find our way back to the apartment since the streets in Venice can get you turned around real quickly. We were able to find some pasta and spices from a little shop close by and some veggies from the market to prepare a meal in the little kitchen. Overall our experience was extremely favorable and we would recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a wonderful stay in Venice.

  We stayed at the Gran Canal Apartment from May 1-4, 2013. This is a great apartment in the heart of Venice just behind the Venice Market (which was amazing!!). It was clean, spacious, quiet and the owners went out of their way to ensure our every need was met and we were comfortable. The apartment is within easy walking distance for the water bus, restaurants, and many popular Venice sights. Our stay was perfect in every way...we would not hesitate to recommend staying at The Gran Canal and would happily return anytime opportunity came knocking.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing.

  We loved our stay at the Gran Canal apartment. From the start, Fabio and Monica were very responsive to my questions and I loved being able to pay the deposit by PayPal instead of a wire transfer. The location was perfect. We were able to explore parts of Venice in the morning and return to the apartment for a rest before going on another excursion in the afternoon/evening. Our only regret is that we didn't purchase fresh fish and shrimp to cook in the well-equipped kitchen. The free internet connection was great, especially after coming from a cruise ship where the charge was 99 cents/minute. One suggestion for anyone who stays at the apartment - be sure to get clear instructions on using the stove and microwave.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

  Fab Fab Fabulous Fabio, there is not one thing we could complain about except we should have stayed longer. The accommodation exceeded our expectations as did your hospitality, the Grand Canal unit was beautifully presented, professionally cleaned in a superb location. The security provided was of a high quality. Your after hours service was exceptional as was your friendliness that was very welcome. We would definitely return and highly recommend to anyone requiring accommodation in Venice, Thank you for ensuring our stay was perfecto.

  My husband and two children ages 11and 13 stayed in this suite fior 3 nights. The location was perfect. It was quiet and close to everything. The suite was very nice and modern. The owner was very helpful and always responded quickly to our questions. I would definetely stay here again. Thank you!!

  Very hard to find enough superlatives. In order: excellent communication from Monica and Fabio. We booked many months ahead. Everything is exactly as advertised. Actually it is better. We were met at the Rialto Alilaguna by Fabio on a rainy, dark night. He sped up the Rialto bridge steps, a case in each hand. We stayed a week in Rialto - it is warm and cosy and the kitchen works! When the rest of the family arrived we moved to Gran Canal for another 10 days. This is bigger and has a quite lovely view down C. Botteri. Wonderful showers and kitchens in each. Excellent backup from Fabio for a couple of minor issues. This is our 6th stay in Venice and this was our best experience. Highly recommended

  **This review is for the Rialto Bridge Apartment** I stayed with my partner at the Rialto Bridge apartment for two nights over Thanksgiving 2012. The apartment was impeccably clean upon our arrival and is very well furnished, giving the sense of classic Venice but with a modern flair. The space is exactly as the photos indicate -- a bit small but, especially with your own kitchen and private bathroom, plenty big enough and nicer than most hotel/hostel options in the same price range. The feeling of the apartment is great for couples looking for a romantic stay in a romantic city. As others have said, the location is just a few minutes away from the Rialto Bridge but is off the beaten path just enough to make it feel less touristy (which is a good thing). As anyone who has been to Venice knows, it's easiest to navigate the city by landmarks, so having Rialto nearby made it easy to get home no matter where we were in the city. We had a few concerns about our stay, but they were handled very quickly and effectively by the management (hence the four stars). Would definitely recommend and return next time my travels bring me to Venice.

  Go stay here. It had everything we needed. Great restaurants nearby, easy walking to many sights, even San Marco square. Get lost in the side streets and enjoy the magis of Venice!

  We stayed at this cozy, beautiful apartment for 3 nights in September and recommend it highly! We were met by Michela who guided us to the apartment and helped us understand all of it's features. If you arrive by train it is only 6 vaporetta stops from the station. The bed is comfortable (the pillows are hard so perhaps ask if Señor Fabio if there are some options); the kitchen is well equipped; the bathroom is beautiful!; and the neighborhood is very quiet. ONE SUGGESTION: if you are not familiar with Venice, when you decide to go out, you may want to stop at each corner and snap a picture of where you turned outbound. That way when it is dark and you've had some Vino, you can find your way home inbound without wandering the dozens of passages that makes Venice a wonderful experience. Mr. Fabio is a very hospitable and helpful owner. We had one slight issue and he said he was out on his boat with his wife and would be there in 15 minutes. He was there in less than 10 minutes and resolved the issue immediately. An excellent, professional and caring host! Thank you Fabio - keep up the great work! Caio'
