This was the best cabin! Everything was so comfortable. The cabin had everything one could need for a great vacation. It was an ideal location and very clean. I would highly recommend this cabin. We even saw deer and 2 bears. I hope we get to return one day, and we will stay in this cabin again.

My husband and I recently stayed here and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The cabin was clean and very well stocked. I loved the location between the park and the town. We were glad to find a fan in the closet because it was a bit warmer than expected. However, it got quite cool at night. We enjoyed the sights of Rocky Mountain National Park and surrounding area. The aspens were gorgeous and the wildlife was entertaining. We loved walking down to the river, but we didn't spend much time there because the bears were active. Three restaurants we enjoyed were Sundeck(the best), Molly B's, and THe Egg and I. THis was our first experience with VRBO and I was quite pleased. I won't hesitate to use it again.

The cabin was just as pictured and clean. If you enjoy the Rocky Mountains you couldn't ask for a better location. We were in the park 5 out of the 6 days hiking. We didn't see any elk at the cabin but plenty of bunnies and ground squirrels. In the park we saw moose, herds of elk, marmot, pikas, ground squirrels and, of course, chipmunks. My only con would be that the cabin was very hot which is not the fault of Carolyn and Brian. I think we went the only week it was in the high 80s. We are from Texas and very much used to air conditioning which 95% of the shops and restaurants in town do not have. If you like BBQ, you should try Dave's BBQ which you can walk to and Mary's Lake Lodge and Tavern.

My sister and I stayed at Long's Peak from June 25 - July 2, 2011. I have been visiting Estes Park each summer for the past 7 years, usually staying at different places, and this cabin was one of my favorite places to stay. It was charming, cozy, and I loved the pine furniture. The cabin was exactly as described (and pictured) and was very clean upon our arrival. I could hear the Big Thompson River from the master bedroom. I saw rabbits and chipmunks on the property. Brian and Carolyn were very pleasant to work with and I would certainly rent from them again. The location was perfect! Close enough to walk into Estes Park if you wanted exercise - maybe 15 minutes. Since I favor the hikes around Bear Lake and Glacier Gorge this was a great location to access those areas via the Beaver Meadow entrance. Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park are some of the most beautiful places in the United States and you can't go wrong making this cabin your homebase to explore both.

The cabin made a perfect base for when we weren't out hiking in the park or exploring the shops and eating in town. It was very well equipped and super clean. It was nice to be able to do breakfast at the cabin. The location is IDEAL being so close to town and the park. The owners were wonderful to work with.

A True Cabin Feel

Our family of three stayed there a week and a half. We were quite comfortable in the cabin. There are several extra touches in the cabin to create the atmosphere of Colorado Cabin. The updated areas have been done well; the furniture is comfortable. I suggested to the owner that she consider a new range and she responded immediately that she would begin that process. There are even games and videos available for extra entertainment. The shower head looks old and unpromising, but it has great water pressure! The location was between town and the park so it was wonderful. We would recommend this property to others; it's a great value. Our favorite activities in Estes are driving through the park looking for wildlife and hiking lots of trails. We always eat at Poppys, The Egg and I, and Village Pizza.

Great 2 bedroom condo in Estes

Great 2-bedroom condo. It is located just a few miles from the south entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park and walking distance to downtown Estes. I stayed there over memorial weekend and the owners' ad was perfectly accurate. The condo was clean and very comfortable. I had no problems whatsoever with the rental property and I would definietly go back. It is far enough from Estes that it was still quiet, but still near to restaurants, groceries, and the like.

The cabin was just great the way it is set up and the views are wonderful. We really enjoyed seeing the wild life that walked right in front of the deck and couldn't have asked for a better location, right in between the national park and downtown. The town is great to walk around and do some shopping. We can't wait to come back!
