About Jane Livingston - Owner

I consider myself to be very blessed and fortunate to live in a country where we can enjoy our freedoms. I am a lucky mom to a wonderful teenage son. I find the world and people fascinating and relish the time I can spend traveling and exploring.. I love to travel, experience the world and spend time outdoors.

Jane Livingston - Owner purchased this cabin in 2008

Why Jane Livingston - Owner chose Front Range

I worked at the YMCA of the Rockies one summer while in college and I almost stayed rather than going back to college. I think Rocky Mountain National Park has some of the best hiking in the world. I love being by the water and soaking up the outdoors while listening to the soothing sounds of the river and taking in the spectacular rocky mountains. The energy around our home and along the river is awesome and being so close to Rocky Mountain National Park and Estes Park is wonderful.

What makes this cabin unique

We are less than 2 miles to Rocky Mountain National Park and 2 miles to downtown Estes Park. Relax by the river while reading a good book and being mesmerized by the spectacular beauty of the mountains and the sounds of the river. Sit along the river while fishing to your heart's content. Soak in the hot tub after hiking or snowshoeing while watching and listening to the river. Enjoy a soothing, peaceful steam shower anytime you desire. Relax with your morning cup of coffee on the patio taking in all the beauty. Enjoy a glass of wine on the patio as the sun sets behind the mountains while cooking those fresh caught fish on the grill.

"Girls weekend getaway"

  • 5 of 5

My three daughters, granddaughter and I had a wonderful weekend getaway together. The accommodations were perfect. We cooked a four course meal one evening and found the kitchen to be well stocked and sooper clean. We woke one morning to see an elk out the living room window. We also spent several hours in the hot tub enjoying a winter wonderland and evening sky. It was everything we hoped it would be.

Wonderful trip to Rocky Mountain National Park

  • 5 of 5

Our multi-generational travel group of five adults and two kids under age 5 stayed at this property for four nights and had a wonderful experience. The layout of the home is very friendly to multi-generational travel--there is a french door that separates one living room and two of the bedrooms from another living room, kitchen, bedroom.

The location of this property is perfect--unbelievably close to the entrance of RMNP (literallya couple minutes from the visitors center and entrance) and also in close vicinity to downtown Estes Park shops and dining. What more could you ask for?!

The kitchen was stocked with all the essentials like spices, sugar, pots & pans, dishes, pitchers, etc. so we were able to cook a few meals in and also enjoy the dining around Estes Park. We were also very appreciative of the cooler provided and packed drinks and picnics each day to enjoy at RMNP. The games and Tinker Toys were a welcome surprise to keep the kids entertained in the evening!

Having the river so close and ample patio furniture made it nice to relax as well as keep the kids entertained with skipping rocks or making boats out of leaves, etc. The hot tub on the patio overlooking the river was also a nice amenity. I think it has been mentioned before in the reviews, but do note that this property is not secluded, which we knew going into it. There are some condos directly across the river, which isn't a problem for us.

When they tell you to lock your trashcans, they're not kidding--we had a bear visit us three of the four evenings we were there, knocking the trash can over looking for food. He even opened a rental car door that was unlocked (no food was inside) and scratched the handles on the other. Do not leave any food outside!

We had an excellent stay and an excellent vacation to Colorado. We'd recommend this property to others looking to travel to the area!

Tranquil

  • 5 of 5

Loved the tranquility. What a great place to enjoy God's creation. We saw wild turkeys, an elk, and saw evidence of the bears, plus the birds, chipmunks, and squirrels. We will be back. Thank you so much. Judy

Beautiful location and quite stay.

  • 5 of 5

We had a great week! There were plenty of accommodations. The cabin was quite, beautiful and peaceful! We were within minuets of the Rocky Mountian National Park and many trails within Estes Park. The downtown shopping area was an easy 15 minute ride with a variety of restaurant options. The accomidations of the cabin were excellent. There was plenty of beds, 2 living rooms was nice, and the kitchen had plenty of kitchenware. It was a beautiful and scenic location with plenty of opportunities to see wildlife. Loved the location and would definitely stay again.
