The home has been extensively remodeled throughout with high end finishes and has a charming blend of contemporary and antique furnishings. The gourmet kitchen, which features granite counters and stainless steel appliances, is equipped for serious cooks.
The spacious floor plan features three bedrooms (each with their own bathroom), a living room AND a family room, a dining room, a breakfast room, and a den with a sofabed. Outdoor "living areas" include an oceanview deck, several patios, and a fenced back yard.
Most of our guests spend their time either relaxing in the house, watching the doplphins frolic in the ocean and the pelicans floating by, or enjoying the very special beach we share with our neighbors. It features a private beach access with sitting areas, BBQ, fire ring and outdoor shower. In addition to the sandy beach suitable for all ages, Terramar has tidepools teeming with sealife and the premier offshore surf break in Carlsbad.
Should you tire of salt air and the sound of breaking waves, Carlsbad offers a world of recreational opportunities, including free weekly summer jazz concerts, water and jet skiing, sportsfishing, golf, tennis and cycling. Legoland, Carlsbad Village, the flower fields and the Company Stores (an outlet mall with high-end stores) are all 5 minutes away. The world-renowned San Diego Zoo, Wild Animal Park, and Sea World are about 1/2 hour away. Del Mar, with its thoroughbred racetrack is 15 minutes south. Day trips to LA and Orange County (Disneyland, etc.) are also possible. However, you may never want to leave the beach house! |
