The Bluff House is perched on a dune overlooking Bluffton Bay and Muskegon Lake, on a peninsula between Muskegon Lake and Lake Michigan. The Bluffton area has a fascinating history and is a safe, friendly place to stay. It’s a place to relax and enjoy the beauty of Muskegon Lake and Lake Michigan and the surrounding dunes and forests. One can let their creative juices flow, or enjoy the work of several resident artists at local galleries in Lakeside and Muskegon. The view from the Bluff House is its finest point – 180 degree view of Bluffton Bay and Muskegon Lake. There is a large deck in the front and a small screened patio in the back. You can sit in the living room and enjoy the lake view or enjoy the surrounding trees and shrubs in the back. It’s a very secluded environment, yet it’s still in the city with all the activities an urban area entails. The Muskegon Yacht Club is directly across the street and the skippers are always looking for crew on Wednesday nights.
There are a variety of ways to get to The Bluff House. One can arrive by car, utilizing the highways a few miles away. There is also the cross lake ferry which has three runs a day between Muskegon and Milwaukee just down the street a mile or two. One could ride their bike to the the ferry, spend day in Milwaukee and take the Ferry back, and rids their bikes to The Bluff House. The Bluff House is within 2 miles of the Ferry and 20 minutes of Michigan Adventure. There are many beautiful bike trails along Lake Michigan and Muskegon Lake along the dunes and through wetlands. If you are a member of another yacht club, you could come by boat, dock at the Muskegon Yacht Club, and utilize the facilities such as the bar, restaurant, and pool. Your boat will be visible from the deck of The Bluff House.
The Bluff House provides WIFI for internet and Direct TV for satlite cable. The house has Air conditioning. The cable includes full sport and premium channels for your enjoyment

We spent our first family vacation in the Bluff House and we all felt very comfortable there. The house had everything needed, included bikes, books and toys for the kids. It was also nice to have a washer and dryer available. It was very nice to feel "at home" but still away. The view from the living room or the front deck is beautiful, especially when a storm is approaching! The owner were very welcoming and resourceful. They live just next door which is nice. When we were not at the marina to watch boats coming and going, we were at lake Michigan which is so close and was not crowded at all. We all enjoyed the backyard where we played with the kids, grilled and made their first "s'mores". We had a day trip to Silver lake sand dunes (beautiful) and to Holland. This was a great location.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children.
Owner response: We thank you for taking the time to write review for the Bluff House. We enjoyed having you. Thank you for your business. We have just added Central Air to the House. Please come and visit us again. Sid Shazly Owner and Manager of the Bluff House.

We had a memorable family reunion at Bluff house. The basement has plenty of toys to keep the kids busy. The open glass window in the living room has a spectacular view of marina. Backyard has a gas grill and a good sit out. If you are a early riser, the view from the living room is picturesque. Sun rise right from the living room makes your day. I will be sending a picture to the owner, hope he uploads it to this site. Overall, the house is well equipped and the owner responds to your requests promptly. We liked our stay at the Bluff House.Recommended for: Families with young children, adventure seekers, families with teenagers.
Owner response: Thank you. Please send me this picture. I will definitely use it on the Homeaway website. You were great tenant and we enjoyed having you in the Bluff House. We appreciate our customer and it brings great pleasure to my wife and I to see our customers enjoy their stay at the Bluff House. Sid Shazly Owner and Manager of the Bluff House

the Bluff House is in a fantastic location. The wonderful Pere Marquette beaches are a short walk or drive away. House is bigger than expected. Great view out the front window and great backyard deck and garden. There was a steep climb up to the house from the street. I cant imagine how a car would drive down the driveway with snow and ice on it, but that isn't a problem in the summer. It was built in the 1950's, serves as a vacation house, and doesn't have air conditioning. This resulted in the house being a little musty. It didn't bother me but it did cause my wife's allergies to act up. The house was clean, well stocked with towels, and had a good washer and dryer. Kitchen had everything we need for cooking during our week stay. Owners were very accomodating and friendly. We played mini-golf, saw a movie, went out to some great restaurants, rented a four person bike-cart, visited playgrounds, and went to the beach all within a short drive. Overall, it was great and definitely a bargain.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
Owner response: Thank you for taking the time to write this review for the Bluff House. We have just installed Central Air in the house. This has solved the little mustiness in the air from the surrounding lakes. We listen and respond to our customer and we make sure our customers are happy and enjoying their stay.!!

We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage. Our kids caught some nice sized Bass right off the end of the dock at Muskegon Yacht Club. The bike trails were great! They took us right downtown Muskegon. Fricano’s pizza was close. We enjoyed a fire at night with some roasted marshmallows in the back yard. We checked out the beaches which were all only a 5 minute ride away. The waves were a bit big for my kids, but my husband loved it. We ate out a couple of times at Dockers and Muskegon Yacht Club right across the street both had good food! A couple of days we just chilled at the cottage and played games fished and played. The cottage was very clean and comfy. We also walked the Muskegon pier, shopped and did some charter fishing. We did have to contact the owner once with a couple of questions and he called us right back. The owners are very nice and very helpful. We highly recommend this cottage and have already booked 2 weeks again this coming summer.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
Owner response: We enjoyed having you. We appreciate your business. Looking forward to see you next year. Sid Shazly Owner and Manager of the Bluff House

We enjoyed our stay so much that we are planning on coming back and have been reccomending this place to our friends and family. Everything you need is here. Lake Michigan beach is wonderful for children at every age. We had two kids and plenty of space. Muskegon lake was so peaceful and my son discovered fishing! Can not wait to return. Lots of things to do around the area too.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We are a family of 6 and felt the house offered us all the amenities and comforts of home. The Bluff House is a truly magical place, with a stunning view of the harbor. We will now return to the Netherlands, rested and revitalized from our stay at the Bluff House. We will cherish the memories and recommend it to our friends.Did you find this review helpful?
