Kanai A Nalu has been rated The Best Vacation Property in Ma'alaea. Spectacular ocean vistas are guaranteed in this specially designed condominium building. Our CORNER PENTHOUSE UNIT #417 faces the ocean and has a lanai featuring uninterrupted views of Ma'alaea Bay, Kihei, Wailea, Makena, Upcountry and Haleakala. Spectacular whale watching from the lanai during whale season. Plus, you can watch the sun come up over Haleakala (Maui's dormant volcano, which rises 10,000 feet above sea level.
Our building is very CENTRALLY LOCATED on Maui. It's approximately 1/2 mile from the Aquarium, the harbor, grocery store, restaurants and shops. Our condo is on a dead-end street so there is very little traffic and it is very QUIET. There is absolutely no traffic noise from the main road in our unit. You can enjoy deep relaxation inside or on the lanai, at the sandy beach or at the beautifully manicured lawn with tropical landscaping downstairs.
When you first enter, you will be greeted with the magnificent view of the ocean beyond the living room. Not many condos are available this close to a sandy beach, where you can swim or snorkel....RIGHT IN FRONT of the building (weather and ocean conditions permitting). In the morning, you can take a walk along the quiet sandy beach (miles long toward Kihei). This is possibly the most uncrowded beach on Maui. There is also a government protected Wildlife area near the beach for endangered sea turtles, so no development is allowed here. This is for sure one of Maui's finest beaches!
*Our penthouse unit #417 has a new California King Tempurpedic bed in the Master bedroom and now has a King bed in the second bedroom also. Condo sleeps 4 maximum.

Enjoy breakfast on your lanai and if you keep your eyes on the sea, you can do some whale watching at the same time. This condo is fantastic. Spacious and in a great location. The views are stunning - of Haleakala, Molikini and Maalaea Harbour plus the vast ocean of course. The condo is literally right on the sandy beach and stretches for 3 miles to the east - great for morning and afternoon strolls. The waves can come up here if you want to surf and it can also be pretty calm at times if you want to swim or snorkel. It's nice and quiet here and the beach is almost like a private beach. It's only 10 minutes to Kihei, 15 minutes to Wailea and 20 minutes to Lahaina and then Kaanapali if you want some busier resorts. Just a heads up though, it is the windiest part of the island. We liked that as it stopped us getting too hot, but it would have been good to have been prepared for the wind! The pool is great - good temperature and about a third of the pool is only 3ft deep, so great for young kids. If you stay here and visit other beaches, take your snorkelling gear with you each time. So many of the beaches have fantastic snorkelling. Also, if you're a lap swimmer, all the public lap pools on the island are free!!!!

The property manager was a pleasure to work with and answered all of my questions promptly. The unit was sparkling clean upon arrival and is well appointed with all linens and kitchen items you could possibly need. I was pleased that the laniaai had four chairs even though the pictures showed only two chairs. The condo is close to everything. The master bed was oh so comfortable. Most activities are only a short 10 to 20 minute drive away. This really felt like home away from home. I would stay in this unit again in a heart beat. Thanks for letting us use this as our vacation paradise.

We loved this unit not only because it was beautifully furnished and completely equipped but also because when you are on the enjoying drinks on the lanai, eating dinner in the dining area, or laying in bed in the bedroom, the only thing you see is the ocean and the only thing you hear are the waves. Even though this condo is part of a larger complex, it is very private and located just a few feet from the beach. The tempur pedic king size bed in the master bedroom was probably the best bed we have ever slept on. We loved being able to step out the door and have miles of undeveloped and uncrowded beach to walk on. The fact that the beach is part of a wildlife refuge made it even better. We went boogy boarding and snorkeling right in front of the condo and saw lots of very colorful tropical fish.

Thanks for your beautiful place and sharing it with us. Awesome views from our lanai, breakfasts were spectacular every morning as we sat and watched the sunrise over the mountain. The location, close to the beach is grreat for going on long walks on the sand. What a great place to come and relax!!

Your place was great! It was very clean and had everything we could possibly need. The view was amazing!! Had our breakfast out on the lanai every morning. The kids loved the pool. The grounds are very well maintained and the barbeque area is very clean. We hope to come back again--hopefully soon.

We recently stayed for 10 nights in this fantastic condo. 2 adults and an 11 month old. The condo was clean, grounds of the complex are immaculate and the beach, while small, right in front of the building was perfect for our needs. Nice central location, short drive to both Kihei and Lahaina and convenient to the airport and Costco. If you've never stayed in Maalaea, it does get windier than other parts of the island, but pool and the beach are fairly sheltered from it.

We absolutely loved this area of Maui - and the condo. We were a little concerned because of some of the reviews we read about Maalaea, but we did not find the winds to be too intense at all. In fact they made the heat bearable. And Maalaea is very convenient to all parts of Maui. The condo is exactly as described and pictured. It has everything you need and is extremely comfortable. It was quiet, neat, clean, and very guest friendly. We used one of the gas grills on the grounds too. We have two children and they loved it. It was the best vacation we have ever taken.
