Fairfield Glade is the perfect spot for a perfect getaway.
With eight championship golf courses within half an hour's drive from the condo, this is definitely a golfer's paradise. But if golf isn't your thing, fishing, horseback riding, mountain bike riding, or any of a host of different activities are available to you in this area. You're sure to find plenty of options for having a fun-filled and relaxing vacation.
This condo in Farifield Glade is secluded, but near enough to all that the area has to offer that you will never feel isolated. You can access many activities in the Glade via the walking trail that starts right outside our door. Restaurants, shopping, movies, fishing, theater, and many other activities are all nearby and many are walking distance from the condo.

We also have two swimming areas (beach and playground) at two of the area lakes. All of this is a very short drive or easy walk from the condo.

Why the Owner Chose Fairfield Glade
We originally bought this unit because my father needed a place to stay while he was working over here. When that contract ended, we decided to keep the condo and use it as rental property.
The Unique Benefits at this Condominium
If you are a golfer, then this is a paradise. I am not a golfer, but I love to be outside. It took me a little longer to find outlets for my interests. There are several small lakes here in Fairfield Glade (all stocked) that are easily accessible and fun to fish. The marinas have boats for hourly or daily rental or you can bring your own. There are about twenty miles of nice single and double track mountain bike trails just twenty minutes or so from here. The state parks have miles and miles of hiking trails, rock climbing, fishing, kayaking, and canoeing available. The Obed River runs right through Crossville and is a great river to explore and fish. (I've just recently taken up fly fishing.) Our condo serves as a perfect "base camp" for all these activities. At night the town closes up pretty early and, at its busiest, it's not very bustling. You can, however, get a good meal at any number of local and chain restaurants, take in a movie, stop at a local bar for a drink, or go shopping. My favorite restaurants up here are Halcyon Days (in Stonehaus Winery) and Genesis Itialian Grill. Both serve wonderful food and have excellent service. There are also bowling lanes, minature golf, and arcades in town. The recreation center here in Fairfield Glade is open to guests and has a host of activities and options in case you're here and a rainy day spoils your plans. Two of the area lakes have nice beaches, playgrounds, and swimming areas. Outdoor pools, an indoor pool, and tennis courts are available as is a full workout facility. These activities all have nominal fees that both members and guests (you are considered a guest if you're staying here) have to pay. They range from about $1.25 a day to about $8.00 a day for the workout facility.

Owner's Map of Fairfield Glade
This is me and my father. Together we are RKO Properties. In addition to owning this condo, we own another one in Fairfield Glade and property in Chattanooga, TN. I live in Chattanooga and my parents live in Maryville, a small town just outside Knoxville. I am a full-time contractor. My father is semi-retired from medicine. We decided in 2005 to start RKO Properties after I retired from FedEx after a 22 year career. I've never looked back. Leaving the corporate environment was the best thing I've ever done. I absolutely love what I'm doing now, working with my hands, having my own schedule, and having so much more control over how I make my living. I enjoy getting to spend more time with my family. One of the best perks of my new career is that I get to take my boxer, Emmett, to work with me.
