  Our stay could not have been better. Nancy is more than accommodating. Her house is clean and well maintained. She is great and can answer any question that you may have. Tremendous views of coral bay, the east end and the BVI's. Plenty of room for all 6 of us to spread out. Huge deck is great to hang out on and is in full sun most of the day. Several good restaurants & waterfront bars just at the bottom of the hill. We would definitely rent again.

  We absolutely loved Mimosa Villa. We have vacationed in the Caribbean for the last 20 years on various islands renting numerous houses. Mimosa is definitely one of our favorites. The location offers a beautiful view overlooking Coral Harbor. The house offered everything we needed and more. The location is private, but convenient to stores and restaurants. Nancy was wonderful !! We have already booked for 15 days next year.

  Our family of 8 just got home from staying 2 weeks at this amazing property in Coral Bay. The villa is equipped with everything you need and the views from the pooldeck are breathtaking. The house comfortably met the needs of our family of 4 adults and 4 children. The owner Nancy is full of energy and a genuine person, she went out of her way to accomodate us and made our trip very memorable. Our kids loved to drive up and down the steep hill to the house, a 4 wheel drive vehicle is a must. We can't wait to come back again! Marita

  I NEVER write a bad review and don't enjoy doing so this time but I depend on people to give me their honest feedback so I had to respond. This rental is not as pictured. We found out after the fact, that this villa has been "rebranded" to escape negative reviews. The villa was previously known as Little Plantation. We found the villa to be over priced. If the owner reduced the price, this is an adequate rental with a nice view of Coral Bay but it wasn't as advertised. The rental lacked amenities like; guide books and simple things like batteries in remotes, working smoke detectors, warm showers, kitchen consumables, beach toys, beach chairs... The television was small and was situated in a hallway so it was difficult for 5 of us to gather and watch television together. When we arrived the DVD player and VCR didn't work. The laundry room was locked because we were told renters use too much water. The owner did unlock the laundry room at our request and did replace the DVD player. Unlike other rentals in St. John, this villa lacks any potable water so you have buy all drinking water. Please note that this villa does not have a dishwasher. On the positive side, the owner went out and bought a few board games when we asked if she had any and the pool was clean. The owner also provided a vacuum cleaner at our request. We have come to expect certain amenities at this price at St. John. We visit St. John every year and have stayed at many villas and this is the ONLY one we've been disappointed by. We usually rent well in advance but this time we decided to make a spontaneous trip. We go to St. John for the beaches and vistas; not for the villa but don't be fooled, this ten year old villa is overpriced and the living area is tired.

  Owner response: As the saying goes - 'you can't please everyone' - even when they bring extra people they don't feel they need to pay the extra charge for (as advertised), and I let it go. BAD START. Yet I also gave him his security deposit back before he checked out, realizing I was dealing with a very disturbing and dangerous character. Normally there is a forty five day wait to return security deposits, but in this case, it gave him the opportunity to immediately post his review. For someone who didn't like the "run down villa" , as he called it, he never left the property. I know this due to running back and forth for every little thing he requested. It became a game to him. Not sure what he means "rebranded". The location of Little Plantation is at least one square mile, with many villas. Property here is divided into territories. Bottom line - time to get a bigger tv. Hot water showers are very hot. Third shower located outside - yes, cold water. Those who don't watch tv during vacation, in a warm location, usually like cold showers. DVD player works when plugged in. Did upgrade DVD player. AA batteries for remote in bowl above tv. Laundry room was opened the next morning when the water truck delivery came. Smoke detectors work. I believe he spent his whole time going over the villa, and never saw St. John.

  This is the best view I have seen in coral bay! We had 8 people in our party and had the most fantastic time. Being in the pool looking out over the coral bay harbor with a cocktail in hand was pure paradise! Only 5 minutes down the hill to great restaurants and shops and very friendly people. The beaches were amazing but we did stay at Mimosa just relaxing in the peaceful silence most of the time. The TV was a little small for my liking but we weren't inside too long to miss a large screen TV, I now have plenty of time to do that the rest of the winter! Haha Definitely going back next year!

  At first we thought the steep climb uphill was going to be too much. You must have 4wheel drive. That being said, the only way to get up high enough for great view is to go up the mountain. Nancy will tell you that however long you plan to stay, it won't be long enough - believe her. We added two extra days and wished it would have been a week. We explored many places to stay and settled on Coral Bay. Absolutely the place to be. And we found the best villa to be in. Aqua Bistro was great on Friday night for tuna, and Skinny Legs is just plain fun. Trunk Bay for snorkeling, if you get there early enough you can get a shady spot on the far right end of the beach. Try snorkeling this area after you finish the center island. Francis beach is great to find peace. Check the far right end of Francis snorkeling for larger fish. We have been many great places, but found Coral Bay to be the most therapeutic and a must return. I only hope Nancy has room for us when that time comes.

  Thank you so much Nancy, you were great and so helpful in finding fun things for Ben and I to do! For anyone thinking of renting Mimosa villa, my husband and I had a fantastic vacation on St.John and a really relaxing stay at this house in Coral. The view was AMAZING!!! Wonderful breeze and view all the way to the british virgin islands. It was very reasonably priced for all that you get and very well maintained. We will definitely be staying here next time we return, hopefully in February! (fingers crossed!) We will be dreaming of St.John and imaging ourselves with drinks in hand and poolside at Villa Mimosa!!

  Me and my husband decided to go to St.John after hearing great things from a friend who had visited. She stayed in the main town, Cruz Bay and said it was a bit noisy with her rental being near some ongoing construction that was happening. We spoke to a real estate agent and she suggested this quiet oasis in Coral Bay. It was a bit of a drive (lots of turns and hills!) but def worth the trip. We came in at sunset and even saw Donkey's in the road on our way!! When we got up to the house it was literally breathtaking! The view was AMAZING!! We were so happy with our decision to be in Coral bay and especially that we chose the most beautiful house! It was the ultimate romantic getaway. I'm a yoga fanatic so to be able to watch the sunrise while doing my morning yoga was so relaxing and refreshing! This was def our favorite vacation of all time! The owner nancy is also so sweet and she made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay at her wonderful home. Even bringing us a map (which we really needed) in order to explore the more rural parts of the island. I like to think we had a more adventurous and unique experience at Mimosa then the average tourist who just stays in the main town. Thanks so much Nancy! We hope to see you back next year, hopefully with a few other couples to fill all those other bedrooms!

  Arriving on St. John was quite an experience! A winding drive to Coral Bay brought us up a steep hill to this amazing property. The views were breathtaking! Islands were visible in the distance for miles and miles. The deck is beyond comparison to anything we've ever seen. Perfect for a poolside lunch, or just an evening cocktail. The in-deck pool was great for a refreshing dip after the beach. The lounge chairs are perfect for just that! The property was well maintained and we could tell the owner was vigilant in upkeep. As for Coral Bay, there are a few shops in 'town'. Skinny Legs was great for dinner and a quick lunch. Our favorite was the Donkey Diner, try the mango pancakes! Saltpond Bay was a short drive away - quiet and peaceful beach (make sure to bring a lunch and water, no amenities). Ram Head Trail is a must do! The views from the top are nothing short of amazing! We hope you enjoy this beautiful property as much as we did!

  My family and I just returned from our vacation on St John's staying at Mimosa's. The view of Coral Bay was gorgeous and the time we spent at the house met all our needs. The owner must have solved the hot water problem because all three bathrooms had hot water for the duration of our visit. However, as they noted, there was no wifi but we came prepared with ethernet cables and the DSL worked fine for the limited time we needed it. The whole trip was a blast and we can't wait to do it again next year!
