Welcome to our 'piece of paradise' on Hilton Head Island! Our fully equipped, spacious (1750 square feet) second floor condo overlooks a lagoon and is a short walk to either of two pools, kiddie pool, outdoor hot tub or the beautiful Hilton Head beach. This rental also includes golf and tennis each day!

Located next to the Westin Resort in Port Royal Plantation, it offers privacy and easy access to all of Hilton Head’s many activities. Guests can walk or use the complimentary Westin shuttle to the Westin Resort. They also have full access to all the resorts’ wonderful amenities including dining and/or room service, Westin’s world class health club, indoor/outdoor pools, Heavenly Spa and poolside Tiki Hut.

Four complimentary rounds of golf per day await you at the golf courses in Port Royal Plantation and Shipyard Plantation. You pay only the cart fee, the greens fees are included! This represents a savings of up to $90 per person depending on the season and time of day! You may play any of the three Port Royal courses; The Barony, Planter’s Row and Robber’s Row (Pete Dye design) or the Shipyard Golf Club courses on Shipyard Plantation. Tennis fees for four for one hour each day at the Port Royal Tennis Club are included as well. There are over 50 miles of bike trails on the Island so bring your bikes or rent them locally.

All three bedrooms have cable TV and a king bed (each can be converted to two twin size beds if desired). Each of the two master bedrooms has a jetted whirlpool tub.

You can dine in one of Hilton Head’s more than 125 restaurants or prepare your own meals in our fully equipped kitchen. The living area includes cable HDTV and DVD player, WiFi internet access and a wet bar. The walkout deck overlooks the beautiful lagoon. Our condo also includes a washer and dryer. This is a smoke free condo and no pets are allowed.

All of our weeks are rented Saturday to Saturday.

Owner Description

Year Purchased: 2008

We live in Chardon, Ohio which is thirty miles east of Cleveland. We are recipients of something called “lake effect” snow. Because of that we received 151 inches of snow last winter. The beautiful warm sea breezes and bright sunshine are a wonderful respite from our weather.

Dan owns his own business and also works for UPS. Betsy is a substitute teacher as well as a server in a local tea room. We are empty nesters with two grown children.

Dan is an avid golfer. Betsy, at best, is a hacker! We enjoy bike riding and walking. Hilton Head is the perfect place to do all three.

Why the Owner Chose Ocean Palms

We had been vacationing in Hilton Head for over twenty years, renting out villas for one or two week stays. It had always been our dream to own our own vacation getaway. In 2008 we decided to use some of our vacation time to look at real estate. As soon as our agent showed us Ocean Palms, we were hooked! The architecture and landscaping of Ocean Palms is so beautiful! We also liked the décor inside the villas as well as the way they are maintained and continually updated. With golf and tennis included as well as all the amenities of the Westin Resort at our disposal, it just seemed like the perfect place for us.

The Unique Benefits of this Condo

We don’t like to toot our own horn, but…we think we have the most beautiful view of all the villas! We look out over the canal that runs through Port Royal Plantation and all the different wildlife that call it home, most notably, “Bubba,” the local ‘gator! When we’re at Ocean Palms, it is so secluded, quiet and restful and only minutes by foot or bike from the ocean. And yet, jump in the car for a few minutes and there are some of the best dining, shopping and entertainment spots we could possibly ask for.

Two things have always drawn us to Hilton Head Island. The first is how environmentally and ecologically friendly it is. There are no high rises or garish commercialism. The environment and the wildlife native to this area have been preserved. Second and more importantly, is how family-friendly the island is. When we look back at our fondest memories with our kids, they usually involve Hilton Head. What a blessing to know our children will be able to have these same memories with their families!
