  • Even a hurricane couldn't take the shine from this gem!

"My husband and I paid a last minute, one week visit to HHI post Hurricane Matthew. Despite the on-going island clean-up we had a very enjoyable stay at this beautiful villa. The view is perfect, taking in the well manicured grounds, resort like pool complex, and the ocean. We even saw deer on the grounds. Although not having a straight on ocean view, the angle takes in much more. There is a fitness building and high end BBQ grills in the pool area. The beach is great for walking or biking on the hard packed sand. The tides are ever changing. Palmetto Dunes where the villa is located is a lovely location. There are golf courses, tennis courts, lagoons, walking and bike trails and even a General Store. I was taken with the villa's tasteful nautical/beachy decor and the owner's attention to detail. Most everything you need is provided including a washer/dryer and laundry detergent. Just bring along your personal items. I like the Hunter Douglas Silouette shade in the living room. There are two large bedrooms with full baths. The master has a king bed. The other bedroom has a double and single bed. There is also a sleeper sofa in the living room. There are ottomans in front of the sofa and chairs adding to the comfort. There is a telephone offering free local and LD calls in the US. You will be provided with the WiFi access code. A flat screen TV is in the LR and both BRs. There is a large balcony off of the LR and one BR....nice. The decorator kitchen has granite countertops and SS appliances and all the "stuff" you need to cook. Just buy some food or go out to the many HH restaurants. The owners are very accessible and helpful every step of the way if you need them. You will not be disappointed with this villa."

  • Fantastic Villa!!!! Highly recommended.

"Gorgeous villa, with high end amenities all updated and beautifully done, with wonderful views of the pool and ocean. Also the Hampton Inn complex is great with a very nice pool area and just steps over the dunes to the beach. We rented bikes and the underground parking was perfect for keeping them out of the way. My husband and I both loved staying at this villa and hope to return next spring."

  • July 2016 Stay

"We booked this unit last minute and were pleased with the deal and place. The unit is top floor, end unit away from the beach so it was quiet but still had decent view of beach. The view of ocean was slightly obstructed by trees but still nice enough and someone was on the deck every night enjoying the breeze and view. On Tuesday night, you could even see the Shelter Cove fireworks from the deck. The unit was comfortable and fairly well furnished except as noted below. The extra twin bed in the second bedroom was perfect for our fifth wheel guest without resorting to putting someone on the sofa. Sofas were really comfortable. No complaints about the wi-fi all week from the teenagers - enough said there. A few downsides-bathrooms have not been updated, the bar stools are not comfortable or kid friendly, the master bedroom mattress is really hard, the TVs are smaller than the norm, the plantation shutters are unwieldy and make it hard to enjoy the ocean view that you want when you rent on the ocean.
