Road America is internationally known for top notch road racing - two motorcycle weekends, Champ Cars, the American LeMans Series, a 2010 Nationwide Series Nascar event, three major Vintage Races and the SCCA June Sprints take place every year along with numerous car club and driving school events.
If you've got a foursome for a week of golf, Sheboygan County, Wisconsin is rated the third best golf destination in the country. All within a 30 minute drive are some of the country's top public courses -Whistling Straits, Blackwolf Run and The Bull at Pinehurst Farms. If you are looking for family-friendly courses there are two within a mile.
Nearby Elkhart Lake is a quaint village with casual and fine dining, a farmers' market, antique shops, and an ice cream parlor.

We rented the Carriage House the first week of August 2011. The reviews on this site are all quite accurate and Crystal Lake is such a pretty area. So many neat houses lining the lake -- fun to drive around get sneak peeks of them. And this Carriage House is adorable -- the layout is terrific and we always love having a washer/dryer available on vacation. Its location across from Bo Mallies is fantastic and not loud because of it fortunately. We were there three times like a previous poster. The Carriage House is set up so beautifully -- the fixtures chosen are very nice. We joked the week we were there that we forgot where we actually lived it was so comfortable. We golfed Quit Qui Oc too which was definitely also more to our level of golfing, actually above ; ) We also loved the Paddock Club and Lake Street Cafe. (We weren't sure we were dressed nice enough for the more upscale side of Lake Street Cafe but wished we were as the entrance side is very loud / family oriented. The swimming was also terrific at Crystal Lake -- I've never swam in a clear lake like that and snorkeled too. We would highly recommend if you take a day trip to Sheboygan / Lake Michigan, eating at Il Ritrovo. EXCELLENT pizza and I wished I could have gone back one more day for ravioli (pasta only served at lunch according to their web site). Highly recommend this house!!

The Carriage House in beautiful Crystal Lake is a truly wonderful place to stay and explore such a delightful part of the mid-west. The pictures look good but cannot show the true magnificance of this rental and it's perfect location. The apartment was superbly well maintained and the owners could not have been more helpful and welcoming. Nestled in the Kettle Morraine hills and just minutes from Elkhart Lake, the apartment offers has views over Crystal Lake.. Superbly appointed and very spacious, with all modern conveniences such as WiFi you will not find a better place to stay. We came from England for a three week vacation and honestly did not want to leave we were so comfortable. For the golfers amongst us, this area boasts some of the best golfing venues in the USA including Whistling Straits, twice host of the PGA and Black Wolf Run that has hosted the US ladies Open. We golfed Quit Qui Oc (more to our level of golf) and just two minutes away. Try Bo Mollies resturant just across the street, they have excellent food and their service is top notch. Elkhart lake village centre just minutes away has more great restaurants too including The Paddock and Lake Street Cafe. For an amazing steak try Schwarz's in St Annes about a ten minute drive away. Our sincere thanks to the owners for supplying this accommodation, that made our holiday truly perfection.

Our friends found this carriage house and stayed the entire week of BMW CCA Oktoberfest at Road America in August 2010. We we here only Thursday through Sunday, but settled in immediately and appreciated the layout of the place, peaceful views from the windows, open shared living space, and proximity to the track.

We (4) stayed at this property during June Sprints at Road America. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND this property to anyone that is interested. We previewed the property in March & it far exceeded our expectations. It is easily accesible to the track & even more desirable at the end of a long satisfactory day. The restaurant across the street is great for either an entire meal or drinks at the end of the day. Nearby Plymouth has several good restaurants worth dining at, particulary O'Learys (pizza - yum!) Antique shopping in Plymouth is both fun & rewarding. We took home a trunk full! If you're looking for rest & relaxation in a clean, modern cottage this is the choice for you! Would stay here again without hesitation!

Just wanted to let you know we really enjoyed our stay at your Carriage house. It was immaculate and was more than we expected. Was our first time to Wisconsin and could not have had a better time.
