Had a wonderful, relaxing time. Love the Island. Condo was immaculate and very comfortable, all the amenities of home. The area was easy to navigate but you really didn't need to leave the plantation at all. The restaurants, market and shops had all you would need. My only negative comment is that there are many stairs to get to the condo from the parking area, so my guest, with bad knees, had trouble navigating them. This may be something others might want to know. One time up and down was all the day would warrant.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time on Amelia Island. The condo was perfectly located just a short 3 minute walk to the beach. We have young children and the grass lawn right outside the back door to the condo was ideal for our restless children to play. The inside of the condo was furnished much nicer than most rental properties and made us feel at home. I would highly recommend this property for an relaxing beach visit. Thank you Suzette for helping us enjoy our Amelia Island visit!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

My wife and I both retired our full time jobs in North Carolina on December 31, 2011, and we arrived at the condo the afternoon of January 2, ready to relax, recreate, and begin shifting gears. The condo suited us perfectly. The listing description and photos were accurate, the condo was in great shape, the agent was unfailingly helpful, and our month got off to a great start. And it continued wonderful. The weather was super, the condo gave us a wonderful view of the beach and ocean, we had friends on the Island, and we found places to visit and explore and many great places to eat, all within a few miles. We would recommend the condo to family and friends without hesitation.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway.

This was the first visit to Amelia Island and we had a blast. The condo was beautiful and clean as was the beach. The whole area was lovely. The arrangement of the condo was perfect--mudroom type entry, down half stair to kitchen/living room, down half stair to bedrooms. In fact the condo was the best one I have ever stayed in for a beach vacation. It was very easy to get to the beach and it was great to be able to see the beach out your window at all times. The only reasons I gave it a 4 instead of 5 was that the pool at the complex was too cold and dirty to use this time of year so we had to drive to the Plantation pool daily. The kitchen and appliances were top notch; however, there were no dishclothes and only one pan for the stove which was marginal at best. We had to cook every day because of my daughters dietary restrictions--if you were planning only simple meals there it wouldn't have been a big deal at all. Would recommend to anyone!!!!Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: I really appreciate your review. I have purchased a few items for the kitchen for those guests who wish to cook and new dishcloths also. Our pool is typically too cool in March to use since it isn't heated. The resort pool is heated and guests are encouraged to use it until our pool warms up. We did have a problem with excessive leaf droppings and pollen from the tree canopy. I notified our property management company of this and they worked with the pool company who is under contract to clean the pool SEVEN DAYS PER WEEK. We are currently having all the tree limbs trimmed so the pool is easier to keep clean. I was aware of this and working with our board and property management company to correct this problem.

This was our first visit to Amelia Island and we had a fabulous vacation. The condo is beautiful, with a great view of the ocean. We enjoyed the comfy beds and great linens. There were even beach towels, chairs and an umbrella provided for our use. The location is perfect - very close to the Inn and the heated pool but also close to the private pool and tennis court for the complex. Suzette was great to work with. She answered all of our questions and sent materials in advance to help us plan our trip. There are so many activities in the Plantation. We enjoyed fishing, golf, and the Segway and kayak tours. We would highly recommend this condo and Amelia Island.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We had a fantastic vacation in this beautifully furnished and comfortable condo. The ground floor patio is a great spot to enjoy the spectacular ocean views and is just steps away from the beach. We enjoyed the privacy of the pool and tennis courts nestled in the trees. We have rented from Suzette for many years and she is always a pleasure to work with.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Over the years we've stayed in various condos on the Plantation, and this was the best one we've rented. It had all the comforts of home, with the ocean in the backyard! The open floor plan and large bedrooms were perfect for our family. The gourmet kitchen was so nice, we didn't want to go out! Being close to the Inn was great, and the amenity card gave us access to the Beach Club pool and Grille. Thank you, Suzette! We'll definitely be back!Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2007
About the owner: I own a very similar condo two doors from this one. This particular condo belongs to a friend who owns a home inside the plantation. We have been owners or rented at Amelia Island Plantation for over 25 years. I try to stay at the beach at least 50% of the time and the rest of my time at our permanent home in Athens, Georgia.
Why the Owner Chose Amelia Island Plantation:
I have a home here and love to visit with my family. Amelia Island Plantation is a gated, family resort with restaurants, racquet park, fitness center, spa and shopping area.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
Quiet and peaceful surroundings are what is so attractive as well as the beautiful view and proximity to ocean. We love the 'family atmosphere' at Amelia Island Plantation. Also love the natural beauty of the island and the biking paths throughout the plantation. We love to walk to different restaurants and amenities the plantation has to offer without having to drive a car. Our favorite is the afternoon and evenings enjoying the view, breeze and sound of the ocean from the patio and lawn. Downtown, historic Fernandina is only a 10 minute drive. We enjoy the the restaurants, shopping, and views of the various boats at the docks.
