Amelia Island Plantation is Florida's AAA-Four Diamond destination island resort comprising 1350 acres. Sailing, kayaking, deep sea fishing and biking are just a few of the pleasures that the island offers. A 6.2 mile biking and pedestrian trail(Amelia Island Trail) opened in May 2013 extending from the south end of the island to Peter's Point, north of the Ritz Carlton.
As of March 1, 2013, we can no longer provide the resort amenity card for our guests but there are great resources for golf, tennis and fitness outside of the resort. A variety of fine shops, restaurants, fun activities offered by the nature center, ability to rent bikes and golf carts and family activities offered at the Shops and Canopy Park are offered at the plantation without an amenity card. A short drive to the north end of the island is historic Fernandina Beach with its quaint shops and wonderful restaurants on the waterfront.

Very Enjoyable and Relaxing!!
Very Enjoyable and Relaxing!!
My mom, sister and I spent a wonderful long weekend here. The condo was everything as promised and a bit more. Very comfortable with lots of amenities, clean and chic. Great view of the beach and a very short walk to get there. I agree with some of the reviews that there are some steps to climb to get to the condo, but I didn't mind as I am always looking for a way to get in a bit of exercise. :) The renter was VERY easy to work with and communicated in great detail to us everything we needed to know. We received our deposit back very quickly along with a few items we accidentally left behind!! We certainly look forward to returning next year.

We just returned from our long weekend on Amelia and are happy to write that the condo was everything that the reviews said it was. Clean, convenient, and quiet. Yes, there are a lot of steps when unloading and it's a hike from the reserved spot for unloading to the condo door, but it was worth it. I just received my security deposit refund from our Monday checkout and it's only Thursday.

Had a wonderful, relaxing time. Love the Island. Condo was immaculate and very comfortable, all the amenities of home. The area was easy to navigate but you really didn't need to leave the plantation at all. The restaurants, market and shops had all you would need. My only negative comment is that there are many stairs to get to the condo from the parking area, so my guest, with bad knees, had trouble navigating them. This may be something others might want to know. One time up and down was all the day would warrant.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time on Amelia Island. The condo was perfectly located just a short 3 minute walk to the beach. We have young children and the grass lawn right outside the back door to the condo was ideal for our restless children to play. The inside of the condo was furnished much nicer than most rental properties and made us feel at home. I would highly recommend this property for an relaxing beach visit. Thank you Suzette for helping us enjoy our Amelia Island visit!

A Great Month
A Great Month
My wife and I both retired our full time jobs in North Carolina on December 31, 2011, and we arrived at the condo the afternoon of January 2, ready to relax, recreate, and begin shifting gears. The condo suited us perfectly. The listing description and photos were accurate, the condo was in great shape, the agent was unfailingly helpful, and our month got off to a great start. And it continued wonderful. The weather was super, the condo gave us a wonderful view of the beach and ocean, we had friends on the Island, and we found places to visit and explore and many great places to eat, all within a few miles. We would recommend the condo to family and friends without hesitation.

This was the first visit to Amelia Island and we had a blast. The condo was beautiful and clean as was the beach. The whole area was lovely. The arrangement of the condo was perfect--mudroom type entry, down half stair to kitchen/living room, down half stair to bedrooms. In fact the condo was the best one I have ever stayed in for a beach vacation. It was very easy to get to the beach and it was great to be able to see the beach out your window at all times. The only reasons I gave it a 4 instead of 5 was that the pool at the complex was too cold and dirty to use this time of year so we had to drive to the Plantation pool daily. The kitchen and appliances were top notch; however, there were no dishclothes and only one pan for the stove which was marginal at best. We had to cook every day because of my daughters dietary restrictions--if you were planning only simple meals there it wouldn't have been a big deal at all. Would recommend to anyone!!!!

Manager response: I really appreciate your review. I have purchased a few items for the kitchen for those guests who wish to cook and new dishcloths also. Our pool is typically too cool in March to use since it isn't heated. The resort pool is heated and guests are encouraged to use it until our pool warms up. We did have a problem with excessive leaf droppings and pollen from the tree canopy. I notified our property management company of this and they worked with the pool company who is under contract to clean the pool SEVEN DAYS PER WEEK. We are currently having all the tree limbs trimmed so the pool is easier to keep clean. I was aware of this and working with our board and property management company to correct this problem.
We enjoyed the condo very much, it was just like the pirctures. Suzette was a dream to work with. We had left some items in the condo, and she called the day we left and said she would send them to us. We have been coming to Amelia for the past seven years and this was the nicest place we have stayed si far. We will definitley stay agian, if avaliable. Thanks, Suzette.

Spring Break at Amelia Island
Spring Break at Amelia Island
This was our first visit to Amelia Island and we had a fabulous vacation. The condo is beautiful, with a great view of the ocean. We enjoyed the comfy beds and great linens. There were even beach towels, chairs and an umbrella provided for our use. The location is perfect - very close to the Inn and the heated pool but also close to the private pool and tennis court for the complex. Suzette was great to work with. She answered all of our questions and sent materials in advance to help us plan our trip. There are so many activities in the Plantation. We enjoyed fishing, golf, and the Segway and kayak tours. We would highly recommend this condo and Amelia Island.

We had a fantastic vacation in this beautifully furnished and comfortable condo. The ground floor patio is a great spot to enjoy the spectacular ocean views and is just steps away from the beach. We enjoyed the privacy of the pool and tennis courts nestled in the trees. We have rented from Suzette for many years and she is always a pleasure to work with.

About: I am the property manager(and friend of the owner) for this condo. I have been a property owner in the resort for 23 years. I try to stay at the beach at least 50% of the time and the rest of my time at our permanent home in Athens, Georgia.
Why Amelia Island Resorts:
We fell in love with the resort when our children were very young and knew we wanted to be in a family oriented resort that offered many amenities. The resort is just a small part of this beautiful island and offers everything my family loves.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
Quiet and peaceful surroundings are what is so attractive as well as the beautiful view and proximity to ocean. We love the 'family atmosphere' at Amelia Island Plantation. Also love the natural beauty of the island and the biking paths throughout the plantation. We love to walk to different restaurants and amenities the plantation has to offer without having to drive a car. Our favorite is the afternoon and evenings enjoying the view, breeze and sound of the ocean from the patio and lawn. Downtown, historic Fernandina is only a 10 minute drive. We enjoy the the restaurants, shopping, and views of the various boats at the docks.
