Why the Owner Chose Emerald Isle
We liked Emerald Isle because it is a "medium sized" beach... with that small town feel but enough amenities that there is always something to do. We loved Sound of the Sea because of all the open space it provides, you don't feel on top of one another and the location is great being so close to the bridge and the amenities!
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
We love to visit Swansboro and Beaufort for the great shopping and restaurants. Fishing is great. The Aquarium is close by and lots of water activities. We love to golf in Morehead and the gift shops across the street at Emerald Isle Plaza are huge fun!

We've owned our condo for 14 years and absolutely love Emerald Isle and our quiet corner of it! The location is great! We can even walk to restaurants and stores. Being a gated community, our beach is exclusive to our owners and guests. Our unit was constructed with many extra features... the only full washer & dryer, Jennaire range, central vac, built in microwave, etc. We hope you'll enjoy it as much as we do!!

My girlfriend and I really enjoyed our stay here, even though it was cut short by Hurricane Irene. Security deposit and hurricane refund were issued in a timely manner. The condo itself is spacious, comfy, and situated in an excellent location. Owners are very friendly and communicate well. Be prepared to see/hear US military aircraft flying over the beach occasionally (its pretty neat but sometimes loud). An aquarium complete with sharks and other creatures is a short drive away. Bogue inlet pier is within walking distance for fishing/surfing/people watching. I also recommend renting bikes for a day and heading down to "the point" for pictures. If you are looking for a relaxing and fun beach vacation to Emerald Isle, this is the place!

I can't say enough about this place. Carol is very helpful with anything you should need. My family and I love staying on Emerald Isle. It is never too crowded. There are great places to eat-within walking distance of the condo. Since our stay in 2010, new steps were built leading down to the beach. This was a nice change. We can't wait to come back!

My husband and I just returned from a week at Sound of the Sea. We were very happy with our choice. The condo complex was really nice – great pool (2, actually), showers by the beach, gated entry, plenty of parking and easy access to the beach (maybe 2 minutes). It is also located across the street from Food Lion and other shops and restaurants. The condo itself was perfect for us! The pics don’t do it justice, it was so cute! There were 2 balconies with ocean views, perfect for hanging out after a day at the beach while the sun sets. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked (they even had a blender). Most 1 bedroom condos feel cramped, but we did not feel that way here. Also a plus that there are 2 bathrooms. The owners responded to our questions before we arrived quickly and also returned our deposit within a few days of our return home. I would definitely recommend this unit to anyone looking for a smaller place in Emerald Isle!

My husband, two boys (6 and 2) and I stayed in this wonderful condo last June. Carol was extremely nice. She quickly answered all of my questions and was quick to send back the deposit. There was just enough "yard" for the boys to play bubbles or throw a ball. The beach is very close but seemed to take a while when you're walking with a toddler and carrying all that stuff to the beach. That said, it wasn't far at all! I love this town and have visited here since I was a little girl. Now I'm making all those wonderful memories with my own family!

THIS CONDO WAS THE PERFECT SIZE FOR ME, MY HUSBAND AND OUR TWO CHILDREN. THE LISTING DESCRIPTION WAS VERY ACCURATE AS WELL AS THE PICTURES. THE PROPERTY WAS CLEAN AND WELL-MAINTAINED. SEA OF THE SOUND WAS VERY NICE AND WE ENJOYED BOTH POOLS ON THE PROPERTY. THE OWNERS WERE GREAT TO DEAL WITH. MY DEPOSIT WAS RETURNED TO ME WITHIN 3 DAYS. THE WALK TO THE BEACH IS NOT REAL FAR, BUT WITH TWO SMALL CHILDREN AND ALL THE BEACH STUFF YOU HAVE TO TAKE WITH YOU, IT WAS A LITTLE HARD. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY TO ANYONE. IT WAS A VERY ENJOYABLE TRIP TO EMERALD ISLE.

My husband & I rented this condo for a week and was thoroughly pleased with this rental. The website accurately represented this rental and we were very pleased with the condition of the condo upon arrival. It was very clean and the furniture was thought out and was very attractive and we were both able to spread out and be comfortable. The cross breeze in this condo is terrific and we so enjoyed the breeze and being able to hear the ocean with the doors open. The condo let in a lot of light and was always cheerful. My husband loved the HD TV with the upgraded cable and when he wasn't out on the ocean he was enjoying the TV. The complex was very quiet and we enjoyed the two pools when we weren't on the beach. There was plenty to do around the complex and there were really good restaurants close by and within walking distance. The bike paths at Emerald Isle were really nice too. We would recommend this rental to any one that wants a terrific place to stay (home away from home) at such a wonderful beach. The owners were terrific to deal and the next time we visit Emerald Isle we will rent this unit again.

My husband and I stayed at "Sound of the Sea" recently and loved this unit! The inside was SO beachy, which was very appealing to us. It is a very bight, cheerful unit with lots of sunlight. Its 2 seperate patios was also a plus. Both patios have a view of the ocean AND you can hear the ocean when sitting outside or sit inside and open the patio doors to hear the soothing sound of the ocean. The King size bed was very comfortable, as were the soft comfy leather sofas. Another plus was the fact of having 2 pools to enjoy when maybe you didnt want to walk down to the beach. Landscaping is beautiful and picturesque to take those special pictures. If you are looking for a quieter, less congested time away with hubby or friends or family....you will love this unit!
